  1. Important litmus test for Halak, after we all saw what Martin can do. It's cut the mustard amigo, or waive that trade clause! Do agree with giving him this game. TD shouldn't have to single-handedly push the team bus through every snow drift.
  2. Seems fairly well-reasoned, IB. However would take a wide berth around Bo Byram - them head injuries are mighty ominous for a D-man, on a team that apparently has a green light for it's players being run. The return here might well dictate who gets dealt. Would like Poolman possibly included, as well. Think he could be a good candidate for an unpopular destination.
  3. Will investigate, Ghosts. Sure enjoyed a Ben Riach, almost a yr back. I drunkenly ambled down lanes looking for a girl named Sherri, with that schmaltzy Steve Perry, 80's earwig in my noggin! :^(
  4. Should have clarified, this indeed is the one I picked up. I'm a sucker for them sherry notes - even if they apparently only age it a few yrs. (The black bush was my destiny?)
  5. Hmmm..howz'bout sumthin like... Gar & Pucker Toolman, for Damon Severson & that big Bahl(local) dude?!
  6. Aaaahhh..just tried my first shot of Bushmills. Light, fruity & easy to quaff! Reminiscent of Glenmorangie. I'd been waiting to dabble in Irish elixir..but this just may very well become a habit.
  7. & y'all should be cheerin on the farm. They were down 4-0 to the Ugly Moose, but potted 2 before the 2nd ended. 3rd p starts shortly
  8. Ouch! Late 2nd & the Mooses are kickin' our arses, 4-1. Seems Silovs got yarded out for MD. But we got the last tally, how'bout a miracle in Manitoba-Sunday?! edit: & there's another! Late in the 2nd p(19:41) Rempal on the PP, now it's 4-2!
  9. Workin' a bottle of Johnny Drum bourbon, Stealth - made sure to get the hiking in this morning, beforehand.
  10. I killed the volume, & have been watching a no sound-game(like a Chaplin flick).. here in Japan, where silence is golden.
  11. Teams like CBJ & Buff are prob interested. They have a hard time finding vets to commit to their market. They also both have a pretty healthy stash of prospects & cap space.
  12. Still appears JB summer-signed some exp'd, cagey, AHL vets. Abby is fighting back(like the parent team) to climb their divisional ladder. So far the organizational depth for 'tweener-vets has helped both teams hang in there.
  13. Man, you gotta love Jim & Tom's commentary, back in the day. Them 2 dudes suffered through so much mediocrity(measured in decades), 1994 was perhaps the gift they truly deserved, moreso than any human, before & after!
  14. Hence the limp-wristed effort for ANYONE vs Hogtown Leaves. Let the suckers of Ontario pay down the escrow-abusement!
  15. A COMPREHENSIVE Shellackin'!!! WTG boys! Very proud of these Canucks!
  16. Sure improved on his 'career NHL numbers' in these 2 tilts! A timely, feel-good story.
  17. At a certain point, a contract like this guy landed feels like some kinda' shakedown-scam.
  18. Sautner needs a goal in the bigs - & a beauty at that. Can never forget how he was robbed of a masterpiece, 1st tally..set up by the twins, no less. All due to a lil' toe-transgression, offside-challenge, piddly, petty call.
  19. Just a quick, morning-glance at these lines, appears they're trying to spread out speedsters & lumps. Vs Edm, need some speed & defensive-conscience on every line, I'd guess?
  20. Don't see any argument you reference. Valuations are always subjective. Just glad these league darlings utterly botched that 2015 1st rd.
  21. To the original post, wanted to add: - Seems fair to say Bos is closer to Cup-competition than we are, at this point. Their core is certainly older. So giving picks for guys who are further along the path, serves both team's interests & timelines. - Also feel we should expect such trade-patterns. Am guessing JB's draft stock is likely well-regarded amongst various GM's. The new hierarchy may well try to quickly cash in on this, at the same time transitioning picks(& subsequent selections) into what is perceived as youth of their own(also thereby extending possible ELC-contributors to later seasons).
