A brave post, considering vultures circling for endless days. Pretty much agree too. -

In such a dirty, corrupt league, as a fan I wanna be able to feel trust for the bloke making moves for the Van present & future. Realizing they're not ready yet, I can envision the twins as an example of personalities that the city/prov would fully trust. -

Wasn't Mellanby's Old man one of the head honchos at CBC(HNIC production) for many a yr? Also recall the guy suddenly ending our season('92 spring?), with an OT goal on McLean(def not his best moment!), with the despicable Coilers. Also recall Quinn rightly pi$$ed with the game's officiating - just a downright irritating moment in 'Nuck history. Doubt the guy bleeds Nuck colours..but who knows, I s'pose? -
Hi @Canuck Surfer Ronnie Wood's another great character(both with Faces & Stones), but his name can get mixed with Ronnie Lane's. So many folksy & sentimental Lane tunes I've come to love(with age)... Debris(for his Dad) Don't You Cry For Me April Fool Roll on Babe(old cover) Annie(for an elderly lady who'd mind his kids) Ronnie Lane said F*** you to the exploitative music industry, using his Small Faces royalties to build a music studio in a bus. Also moved to a farm in the countryside. THEN he had his band traveling like caravan gypsies, along with a small circus troupe! They traveled around England counties, entertaining one & all. This guy was a true dreamer, that all artists aspire to be.

Thanks @4petesake Ronnie Lane was just a gem of a guy. There's a BBC doc(The Passing Show) about his life, mostly after playing with The Faces, & The Small Faces, beforehand. Tragic how this cat came down with MS in his prime. Names like Clapton & Townshend helped him with 1977's Rough Mix lp. Seems like his fellow musicians really loved this bloke. Don't think there's a singer/songwriter who captures the essence of the 1970's better.

The Ronnie Lane version/cover(from the OGWT) is just pure joy. One of the best musical moments from the 70's -
If Edmundson returns(had an injury, & also family health matter). Van: Boeser & Poolman Mtl: Anderson or Drouin(1 just got hurt; but I'd take either) & Edmundson Maybe the Habs should toss in a 3rd rd p

Sell Prince Charming before all opponents realize he's a snail. Today's game needs speed.

Charming young couple. Never been to Russia, but looks to me like those people have properly sorted values & priorities. Mighty admirable in such a time. Wish these two health, happiness & a beautiful family. -

If I were owner for a day: Sports is biz. Perform, or move on. Ultimatum time: We got 15 games in Dec. Tell Travesty Green, we need 20 pts, or new yr's eve, you ki$$ yer a$$ goodbye. Also go fishing with Boeser for a young D. If he starts sniping again, even better - should improve return! We got plenty of wings..need some decent D prospects(& cap savings). Can't risk a big contract on this hot/cold hogwash. Give JB 'til season's end. PO's, or adios. -
Gotta be able to skate in today's game, & not durable either. Would sell if the return is worthy.

Conor Garland has made BB expendable, & he's 10x more exciting to watch.

So many 1-goal games for our team now, the margin of error is razor-thin. This guy playing like a lump has hurt us badly(prob cost 4-6 team pts, min, thus far) Why not retain some of his salary, & trade for a good d-prospect? A team like the NYR seems to have a mitt-full of them. Call up Lockwood. With CG, NH & VP we should have the depth to do this. Lastly, he'll want a PAYDAY, by summer. I could see his contract becoming something like playername's deal. Forgetaboutit!

BB is trashing his own value. If we can still extract a decent return from his molasses pace, we'd best flip him like a hotcake. -
Every season around Dec/Jan, a few teams surge & a few hit the wall. Seems I recall Minny often providing cases of the latter. This being an Olympic yr, might also feature some drop-offs in the campaign's later stages(Mar, Apr). I'm not giving up on our boys yet. Another stumble & you kibosh Green - but there's still time to get this thing rollin'.

Just as I told you several wks ago..with the Habs, you've gotta start employing some re____ words (vamp, jig, build, etc...) My early prediction of a bottom-10 finish ain't lookin' so bad, eh? Like the kiss of death when MB denied they should rebuild, a few days back. That run last spring was pretty lucky. His draft choice was insane - & how quickly karma chomped his @$$! If we're dealing with Habs, I'd rather they go after Edmundson, anyways...

[PGT] Vancouver Canucks at Boston Bruins | Nov. 28, 2021

Decaying Bruins(they look lousy) did us a favour. Time to kibosh this fraud behind the bench. Also make a trade or two. A new(competent) coach, & they turn this thing around.
