  1. I would like to take part in this if theres room.
  2. Reading a bit to much into things me thinks.
  3. Given the Canucks centre depth now and in the future and think it would be in Gaunces best interest to focus on playing wing.
  4. ^that lineup inlcudes only one natural winger, not including Benn. Man Canada is deep at centre!!
  5. If that's the case he'll likely no longer be playing against the other teams checking line and shutdown Dmen, which should help him out offensively.
  6. Sorry to turn a Horvat thread into a Hodgson thread but Cody was a great defensive player in Jr, however and his scouting reports show it. From Hockey Futures: Talent Analysis Hodgson is a solid all around talent. He does not possess blinding speed, or flashy moves, but he tends to get the job done. He has developed into a fine two-way player. Hodgson is an extremely smart player who uses all of his skills in both ends of the ice. Excellent skater, very strong on the puck, can quarterback the powerplay. Hodson has very good hands and excellent on ice-vision. Hockey News Scouting Report Scouting Report Assets: Is equally adept at scoring goals and setting up linemates with deft passing skills. Possesses outstanding hockey sense, creativity and two-way upside. Flaws: Must prove capable of consistently producing good numbers against bigger, tougher opponents at the NHL level, since he lacks ideal size. Also lacks an extra gear in his skating. Career Potential: Creative scoring center with upside. pre-draft report from Hockey Prospect.com "He's used on the PK and is very dangerous, he anticipates the play very well and gets turnovers because of it. Smart player who can be played in all situations, keeps getting better"
  7. It does remind me alot of the Bertuzzi incident, only Bert didn't hit Moore once he was down. Both were stupid retaliation plays and way over the line.
  8. Didn't see this posted yet, not a very positive article on Gaunce http://www.sportsnet...ade-for-gaunce/ then again the author didn't seem to realize Gaunce is used to playing wing. Edit, here's a more positive article also from the sportsnet site http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/juniors/versatile-gaunce-will-help-otters-defensively/
  9. Hopefully Gaunce uses this as motivation to prove Sutter and Company wrong.
  10. Good I'd like to give this line another chance, could be our only option for secondary scoring.
  11. Agreed, although I would also rank Corrado ahead of Gaunce as well, but Gaunce is IMO the Canucks 3rd best forward prospect. Right now if I had to choose between keeping Gaunce and Jensen I would keep Gaunce.
  12. Wasn't it Sutter that bashed him not Hay? Either way I get your point, Gaunce is certaintly recognized for his leadership abilities in the OHL at the very least.
  13. Anyone think Cole Cassels will make the US World Jr. team?

True, but he wasn't invited to the selection camp so he has a long way to go to impress the US brass.

      Where's Wellwood

      He's american! Had no idea.

  14. Even scary when you think of it this way, due to the way our federal and provincial electoral system works Rob Ford recieved more direct votes than any other politican in Canada.
  15. The Torts love in on here is getting a bit out of hand. My unpopular opinion.

  16. Or if his team misses the playoffs he can come up to the NHL as a depth guy for the Canucks playoff run.
  17. The Hodgson hate on here is insane, the guy was praised as future Captain material when we drafted him. I have a hard time thinking he changed that much since making the NHL,
  18. Bad move for NYI, may not be a good move for Buffalo either depending on how well Moulson plays without Tavares. Hopefully Hodgson can learn to setup Moulson almost as well as Tavares could.
  19. Read the post your replying to again. The poster never compared Domi to Toews he said Domi compared Horvat to Toews.
  20. I don't think Horvat or Domi will be playing in the OHL next year.
  21. Forgot London also has Scott Harrington, talk about a stacked team. Should we be worried, Hunter doesn't see Horvat as captain material. Given the other players on London's team I don't see this as a big deal but hopefully we don't have another prospect with "charector" issues.
  22. Wow nice to see so many of our 2013 prospects kicking butt on score sheet this early. Why isn't this thread pinned yet, it's awesome.
