Don't these morons realize that their anger should be directed at their MLA's, MP's, City Hall?? Wait a minute, they are morons so they don't think. They say they do their research, but every one of their actions and online posts indicate that is a lie.

Moral of the story. Get vaccinated so you don't end up like this. The majority of those hospitalized are unvaccinated and many could have been prevented. Of the 147 patients in Alberta now in intensive care beds, 89 per cent are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/calgary-cancels-surgeries-1.6168993 Calgary hospitals cancel all elective surgeries as COVID-19 cases fill hospitals AHS says the move frees up staff to assist in ICUs

"Breakthrough" cases are a thing. No vaccine is 100% effective. Thing is, the two groups are not the same. The majority of cases, hospitalizations, deaths are in unvaccinated people. "Breakthrough" cases look like they are primarily in older adults. Was scrolling Reddit and saw Colorado's release on "breakthrough" cases. You will notice that unvaccinated people resulted in more cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. You will also realize that the median ages of unvaccinated people were younger than the vaccinated "breakthrough" cases. BC reported a similar finding earlier this summer. So anecdotally, yours and his cases are terrible for you and him. For the rest of us, it is the empirical data that really matters. It says that Bo is right. Get vaccinated so you can reduce your chances of ending up in hospital or dead.

I think part of the problem was that initially, we had goals like 70%. The delta variant shot those ideas to shreds. It's possible that herd immunity, if possible, won't be attained until we're north of 90%. You mentioned measles, which has a threshold of around 95% for herd immunity. Boosters and getting the hesitant vaccinated should get us there, where we can really see what these vaccines are capable of. Right now, there is just too many unvaccinated going around acting like no big deal.

Also this. Took me a minute as to why this article is getting shared around. The lead author (Andrew Read) responded. https://www.forbes.com/sites/andreamorris/2021/08/08/joe-rogan-is-getting-this-completely-wrong-says-the-scientist-who-conducted-the-vaccine-study/?sh=59655d537bd1 ‘Joe Rogan Is Getting This Completely Wrong,’ Says The Scientist Who Conducted The Vaccine Study

The variants (both designated for concern or interest) that we have been dealing with were detected prior to mass vaccination. All in late 2020. The only exception was Mu which was first detected in January 2021 in Columbia when Columbia was starting to vaccinate its population. So as of right now, vaccination hasn't been the cause of the variants. https://www.who.int/en/activities/tracking-SARS-CoV-2-variants/

https://www.cnn.com/2021/09/06/entertainment/michael-k-williams/index.html Michael K. Williams, 'Wire' actor, found dead Michael K. Williams, photographed here at a film premiere in last month, has died. (CNN)Michael K. Williams, an actor best known for his role as Omar Little on HBO's "The Wire," has died. He was 54. Williams was found dead in his New York City apartment Monday afternoon, a law enforcement official told CNN. Investigators found drug paraphernalia near his body, the official said. The investigation is ongoing, according to another law enforcement source who spoke to CNN. "It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Emmy nominated actor Michael Kenneth Williams. They ask for your privacy while grieving this unsurmountable loss," his long-time rep Marianna Shafran of Shafran PR told The Hollywood Reporter. CNN has contacted representatives of Williams for comment. In a 2017 interview with the New York Times, Williams spoke openly about his struggles with substance abuse. "Addiction doesn't go away," he said at the time. "It's an everyday struggle for me, but I'm fighting." Williams, a Brooklyn native, most recently appeared in HBO's "Lovecraft Country" and the series "F Is for Family." He became an almost iconic figure for many thanks to his role in "The Wire" as Omar Little, a shotgun-wielding character who made his living robbing drug dealers. He followed that up as a mobster in the HBO Prohibition-era mob drama "Boardwalk Empire," and most recently earned an Emmy nomination for another series on the pay network, the macabre "Lovecraft Country." Williams was next slated to co-star in Sony's George Foreman biopic from George Tillman Jr., who was set to direct. Williams amassed a number of accolades during his storied career, including five Emmy nominations. His first was in 2015 for his role in "Bessie" and another followed two years later for his part in "The Night Of." He was also the winner of a SAG Award for best ensemble with the cast of "Boardwalk Empire." On social media, Williams' many colleagues and friends recalled the depth, complexity and humanity he brought to his characters on screen and, above all, the man he was off screen. "Michael K Williams was a beautiful, passionate, expansive soul. I felt so lucky to have known him, and we were all so fortunate to have enjoyed his incredible talent," Aisha Tyler wrote on Twitter. "He burned so very bright." Director James Gunn added: "Michael K Williams, in addition to being one of the most talented actors around, was also one of the kindest, sweetest, most gentle souls I've ever met. This is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with all those who loved him." Musician Saul Williams wrote: "For years Wikipedia listed Michael K. Williams as my brother. Neither one of us chose to correct it, instead we took it at its word. 'We're brothers, yo.' He shared poems with me. We broke bread & kicked it whenever we could. A deep & sincere connection. A beautiful spirit."

A doctor is under investigation for prescribing the anti-parasite drug commonly used on animals, CBS News reported. The inmates were initially told the pills, which were actually Ivermectin, were antibiotics and vitamins.

If it was a "leak", then changes to protocols would be important. If it was zoonotic, then learning the mechanism and the origins can help warn us of viruses that are close to making the jump. Giving us some warning. Which is exactly what the Wuhan lab was trying to do. Yes, scientists need to study this. At the same time, getting the facts will help us in the battle with the tinfoil hatters and their bs. Right now there isn't enough facts and they exploit this. I would love nothing more than there to be a definitive answer that I can rub in the faces of the covidiot crowd.

Thought I'd share. Gives examples of various vaccines and their significant side-effects. They tend to happen within 2 months. Anyone who questions the Covid-19 vaccines regarding long-term effects need to be told this. Along with the fact that mRNA vaccines had been tested in clinical trials for other diseases and for cancer treatment prior to 2020. https://www.chop.edu/news/long-term-side-effects-covid-19-vaccine Feature Article: Long-term Side Effects of COVID-19 Vaccine? This is the level of stupid that was leading those hospital protests. Brains gone to mush. Former neonatal intensive care-unit nurse. Sad. Her FB post is stupid from the first line. https://www.straight.com/covid-19-pandemic/news/organizer-of-bc-hospital-protests-kristen-nagle-recently-claimed-that-you-cant-catch-a-virus Organizer of B.C. hospital protests, Kristen Nagle, recently claimed that you can't catch a virus The fired intensive-care nurse also suggested that polio and Spanish flu were not caused by viruses, and that rabies arises from malnourishment and mistreatment

Ya. We've had just under 3,700 serious adverse events in Canada from almost 53,000,000 doses. In BC alone we've had almost 8,800 hospitalizations from almost 170,000 cases of Covid. The simple math shows that it isn't even close with regards to which one is more dangerous. The virus or the vaccine.

It has more to do with his earlier episodes when he was on YouTube and the guests he would get on. Had guests like Survivorman Les Stroud, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Bernie Sanders, Chris Hadfield, and Elon Musk smoking a J. That's why.

We're getting there. It was only last year that Phase 3 trials were under way. To go from zero approved vaccines to over 5 billion doses administered is amazing. Could we do better? Yes. But we shouldn't discredit the progress that has been made. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1194934/number-of-covid-vaccine-doses-administered-by-county-worldwide/

That, and the "do your research" crowd who are out trying to get their hands on Ivermectin. Quick web search would have given them the manufacturer's statement on their own drug. From earlier this year: It is important to note that, to-date, our analysis has identified: No scientific basis for a potential therapeutic effect against COVID-19 from pre-clinical studies; No meaningful evidence for clinical activity or clinical efficacy in patients with COVID-19 disease, and; A concerning lack of safety data in the majority of studies. We do not believe that the data available support the safety and efficacy of ivermectin beyond the doses and populations indicated in the regulatory agency-approved prescribing information. https://www.merck.com/news/merck-statement-on-ivermectin-use-during-the-covid-19-pandemic/

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/nhls-new-covid-19-protocols-include-mechanism-suspending-unvaccinated-players/ NHL's new COVID-19 protocols include mechanism for suspending unvaccinated players Quick Thursday evening blog: The NHL and NHLPA have finalized COVID-19 protocols for the 2021-22 season. The biggest news is a mechanism for teams to suspend unvaccinated players who are “unable to participate in club activities.” This includes situations where a player cannot travel because of local, provincial/state and/or federal regulations “upon return.” Such individuals would “forfeit the equivalent of one day’s pay for each day” they are precluded from participating. It’s a major development considering the Canada/U.S. border and different rules/approaches across the NHL’s North American landscape. General managers were warned about this possibility at their virtual meeting in July and began informing players about the possibility. There are exceptions — unvaccinated status based upon medical reasons; a conflict with “sincerely held religious beliefs;” establishment “on the basis of a balance of the probabilities,” COVID-19 “arised out of the course of employment as a hockey player;” or quarantine because of being a high-risk close contact. If a fully vaccinated player is confirmed with a positive COVID test, his condition “shall be treated as a hockey-related injury for all purposes” under the CBA. Unvaccinated players who are not exempted for the above reasons will not be paid if his team establishes, “on the basis of a balance of the probabilities, that the player failed to comply with the terms of this protocol in a manner that was reasonably related to his contraction of COVID-19 and/or any resulting or related illness.” Other notable points of emphasis: • Any player who wishes to opt-out of the 2021-22 season because they are unvaccinated or fully vaccinated “but can establish that an immediate family member with whom he shares a household is at substantially heightened risk of severe illness by contracting COVID-19” can opt-out by Oct. 1. The team in question will then have 30 days to decide if the player’s contract will be “tolled” (basically rolling it over to 2022-23) or if this season would be removed from the agreement. Anyone opting out would not be able to play in another league or the Olympics. • Any person whose job, role, position or access entails or entitles them to have personal interactions (within 12 feet) of club hockey operations personnel (including players) must be fully vaccinated. • Fully vaccinated players shall be subject to PCR testing at least every 72 hours. That guideline could change depending on how things progress. Unvaccinated players will be tested daily. • There are stiff rules for unvaccinated players. On the road, they cannot enter “internal venues” other than the team hotel, practice facility, or game arena. They are not allowed to use the hotel gym, pool, sauna, steam room or other shared facilities. They are not allowed to have teammates, team staff or visitors inside their hotel room, with the exception of fully-vaccinated family. They are not allowed to leave the hotel to eat (or purchase food) or use any restaurants/bars (in or out of the hotel) that are open to the public. They can’t pick up food except where the restaurant provides curbside pickup (or similar service) that does not require entrance to the main restaurant.

The big banks implemented policies. They have teams of lawyers at their disposal. Probably something like this from TD: "Starting November 1, 2021, there will be additional protocols for colleagues who are still not fully vaccinated, or have not disclosed their vaccination status, including the completion of a learning module about the benefits of vaccination, mandatory COVID-19 rapid testing, and the wearing of a face covering at all times" https://www-cbc-ca.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.6147410?amp_js_v=a6&_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw%3D%3D#aoh=16306810728466&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From %1%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cbc.ca%2Fnews%2Fbusiness%2Fbig-banks-vaccines-1.6147410 Canada's Big 5 banks will mandate COVID-19 vaccines for staff All the big banks to implement some form of mandatory vaccination policy

The people who realize that the temper tantruming will fall on deaf ears. I'd love to know how many parents gave into a toddler having a temper tantrum. Probably not many. The other thing we don't hear from those babies is an alternative plan. What do we do different? They got nothing.
