  1. Brock probably won't win ROY but Petterson sure as heck will. And probably MVP too.

    EDIT: IN THE SHL THIS SEASON.

      @Baer.

      He'll put on some mass in the offseason, but too much too fast isn't good either.

      I still can't help but to counter your argument with Jonny Hockey and Pat Kane. Yes, they're both more compact than Elias, however Gaudreau was maybe 150 in his rookie year and faired quite well by keeping his head up, being smart and fast.

      10lbs over the summer will likely slow him down a bit like we saw happen with Hutton. Plus, AHL'ers aren't any smaller or weaker than NHL players, they're just not as good at hockey.

      He will bulk up as time passes, but I'm of the opinion he's smart and quick enough to make good decisions and be an effective top six player next year.

    3. Baer.

      Baer.

      I don't doubt it, I'm just not expecting it. If Pettersson has Gaudreau's speed and agility, he can get a lot more done with a 6'2 frame. That's a hard benchmark to reach...

      Very true, Baer.

      But just like with Jake, we might need to have patience and allow him to develop his game to better suit the NHL. He's a skinny boy right now and ruling a very competive mens league. The future looks bright but I'm trying to temper my expectations.

      Who knows, he might have a brutal camp and get sent back to Sweden...
