  1. Go Knights Go! Hate the Jets. Loving how the "outcasts" are beating the spoiled rich kids.

People don't like the idea of an expansion franchise having instant success, especially fans who have waited a long time for their team to win a championship.

I admit that it does hurt a bit as a Canucks fan, but I would take this over the Flames, Leafs, or Oilers winning the Cup eight days a week.

@Brad Marchand has hit the nail on the head. It's not the players that make people want them to lose (at least for me), it's jealousy with regards to their fans.

The 2 teams I wanted to make the Western Conference Finals are in so I feel like I'm playing with house money. The Jets are a model of how I want the Canucks to build the team - good drafting (ok, some luck involved in getting Laine, we'll get there...maybe), high character players, good mix of skill and size. As for the Knights, they are a model of how to win as an underdog. As many have mentioned, it must feel bad as an athlete to be exposed without your team getting anything in return; and it was quite a challenge to try to combine all the different pieces and make a cohesive team let alone one that won a tough division. I think there's much that the Canucks can learn from both teams.
