not sure if your a man or a woman.

here is something for men. it's a virtual support group. the introductions/rules is usually 1/2 to 3/4 hour. and then there is 1 hour and 15 minutes of sharing. I have seen alot of men get better that put the work into mental health that the pyschologists and the group suggests.

5'10" 190lbs, competes hard. However, I think we should pursue some bigger guys to help protect our smaller players already.

I cheered for the Leafs until we got our team.  Saw them win three Cups in the 60’s.  Guys like Keon, Horton, the Big M.  Those guys were so much better than these current Leaf, so called, stars.

  8. Would Adam Larsson be a fit with Huggy bear?

Depends on the price. If he’s willing to sign for cheap and not a long term I think it would be worth it over resigning Hamonic

    2. Captain Canuck #12

      Captain Canuck #12

I agree, he definitely would be.  He probably would have been the best fit, in terms of that much-needed RHD.  But the recent talk out of Edmonton is that they're closing in on a deal for him and likely going to let Barrie walk instead (who we wouldn't need).

  9. Netflix needs to do a NHL version of F1 Drive to Survive!!

DTS has drawn in a bunch of new fans to F1, would be interesting to see if a similar series could do the same for the NHL.

  12. Of all the seasons to be crap, surely a 56 game season w/o fans is the best one to be crap in.

    1. RetroCanuck

      RetroCanuck

well I guess there is that.

I feel bad for this team. The heavy front loaded schedule without exhibition games and enough time to practice clearly hurts.

Honestly I think Greens coaching is poor as well. Worked the team to hard early on and now they're clearly tired and can't recuperate.

  13. Thoughts on living / working in Montreal? How does it compare to Toronto / Vancouver?

Lived in Toronto for 5 years. I didn't like it. It's not the worst place in the world. At least the transit system is good. I visited Montreal for a week. I really liked it. Has a more international vibe. The people in Montreal are very nice. However leave the city and go to Quebec City. Then you get the Quebecois attitude.

(Basically if you don't speak French they hate you).

Ironically when I was in Paris. Outside of the scammers. I loved that city. And as long as you were trying to speak French, they will go out of their way to help you for the most part. (The woman at the metro was horrible though. I was using my map giving her the destination and she looked at me like I was from another galaxy, maybe she thought I was American.)

Vancouver is end game, while toronto and particularly quebec are the spawn zones of canada. You be the judge.

  22. Funny how the Subban and Weber trade has turned out this season.

  23. Which is the less harmful sin? Addiction to alcohol (alcoholic), sex (i.e. escorts) or drugs?

having a sex partner addicted to drugs and alcohol, would be the worst unless she owned a beer wagon.

    4. Dazzle

      Dazzle

I think they're all bad. Alcohol is legal, but the other ones are not. Legally speaking, you'll be in trouble if you get caught doing either one or both.

That being said, excessive alcohol is just as (if not more) destructive to the normal lifestyle of a person.

I have the opinion that drugs should be decriminalized, but heavily regulated. Criminalizing it is not fixing the problem. It's actually making it worse (the drug problem). It's not like people are gonna throw their hands up in the air and say "oh well, it's illegal. Guess I can't do blow."

  24. Could Thatcher Demko be a dark horse Calder candidate?

    1. goalie13

      goalie13

Highly unlikely.  The only way is if Marky gets injured in the next game and Demko carries the team for the rest of the season and even then, it's doubtful.  Just ask Jordan Binnington.

    2. Quantum

      Quantum

Not right now. Markstrom would need to suffer a season ending injury and Demko would probably have to take the Canucks to the playoffs in a Vezina calibre performance to be considered for it. He could get a vote or two (as a 5th place vote) but I doubt it. Though, Demko is having a terrific start to his first season.

Quinn Hughes is a more likely Calder winner on this team. But right now Cale Makar is the front runner.

  25. Schaller has 4 more goals than Lucic - just sayin

1/2 retained for Loui. Lets do it, if for nothing else than to have both Edmonton and Calgary retaining money on him.
