This is such a joke. This current management thought the current D corps was good enough to not make any changes, which actually validates Benning's work. The blame is no longer on Benning, but Allvin and company.

Re-signing Miller is probably the worst mistake this management has made thus far though. They now have no cap space. That's not on Benning.

i want 3 balanced scoring lines. that means JT, petey and BO as the centers. not 1,2,3 but whatever line is going each game gets the most ice time. if JT is traded hoefully we get a good center back. like mcleod or sillinger or whoever.

Good pickup.  Reminds me a lot of the Malhotra signing where people were moaning about overpayment at the time.  That skillset is just so underrated here.

Highly unlikely.  The only way is if Marky gets injured in the next game and Demko carries the team for the rest of the season and even then, it's doubtful.  Just ask Jordan Binnington.

Not right now. Markstrom would need to suffer a season ending injury and Demko would probably have to take the Canucks to the playoffs in a Vezina calibre performance to be considered for it. He could get a vote or two (as a 5th place vote) but I doubt it. Though, Demko is having a terrific start to his first season.

Quinn Hughes is a more likely Calder winner on this team. But right now Cale Makar is the front runner. 

I'd prefer Trotz.

I play around a dozen leagues each year, about half free, half for money. Nothing wrong with adding a couple more if you have the time/interest.

I agree, he definitely would be.  He probably would have been the best fit, in terms of that much-needed RHD.  But the recent talk out of Edmonton is that they're closing in on a deal for him and likely going to let Barrie walk instead (who we wouldn't need).

Makar was drafted too high for sure.  His numbers were way inflated playing in a very weak AJHL.  Hughes is a far more talented and better player.

Hughes is almost exactly 1 year younger and produced better numbers.

I have heard nothing but amazing things about his leadership qualities, Every scouting report on him talks about his 2 way game and ability to quickly make reads in his own zone. What would that be like to have somebody without the name Tanev be able to do that for the Canucks?
