  3. I want to reiterate that sentiment towards @canuck2xtreme Thank you once again for a well run season and for all the time you put into this for us. Cheers!
  4. Mods are welcome to shut this down if they don’t think it deserves its own thread.
  5. Without question, it’s not fair at times or evenly administered. Cosby is guilty of his crimes but was let off on a procedural technicality. That technicality protects some from injustice of the legal system and also forces the legal system to act unjustly.
  6. Nothing I could say could possibly assuage the loss you must feel. Nevertheless, I’m so sorry you lost your aunt. You have my sincerest condolences. I hope you’ll be ok and your family will be able to celebrate her life and memory.
  7. ‘Justice’ is a double edged sword. To preserve justice, sometimes injustice prevails.
  8. It’s tragic that a few days of heat killed more people than a pandemic did in those days, or even cumulatively in months. B.C. is not ready for climate change based severe weather events.
  9. Umm, so yeah. Bill Cosby is free from jail. Justice wasn’t served, but ‘justice’ is preserved. Discuss. https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/30/us/bill-cosby-to-be-released/index.html
  10. What he cut and pasted was the information that backed up his argument/logic. Many people didn’t take the opportunity to educate themselves, to their own detrimental pursuit of ignorance, to read those posts carefully enough to see where/why his arguments were based in logic/factuality. Back in the day the term ‘butt-hurt’ was often used to describe many of Wetcoaster’s ignorant punching bags. I believe the equivalent in today’s terms are the ‘triggered’. Man, he triggered a lot of people and I for one enjoyed it immensely. It’s thoroughly enjoyable when stupid people go crashing into a brick wall of intelligence and sound arguments, supported with facts and references. To quote the one the GOAT’s on this board, “YMMV”.
  11. VanderHockey, thank you for literal years and years of service. Your break is well earned and deserved. Many, many thanks for everything. RIP
  12. Boston is open to hearing proposals for the 1st Overall Draft pick. Please ensure that your offer is worthy of this pick. Offers that are not worthy will not be responded to. Cheers!
  13. EOM, for me, was that Shakespearean ‘good deed[poster/person] in a weary world[forum]. Wetcoaster was one of a kind. You either ‘got’ him or you didn’t. And if you did, you could revel in his acumen. If you didn’t then you could would provide entertainment for the rest of us as one would flail around attempting to best him....and beating him rarely happened. And he was a Scotch drinker. A man who knew his Scotch and had refined taste. I miss them both both dearly.
