  1. If people abide by the measures that lessened the transmission from ‘regular’ Covid, those measures would still be effective against the ‘super’ Covid. The ship in taking drastic action has already sailed. Drastic measures should have been taken awhile back to ensure the variants didn’t take over. It’s possible that there could be a breakdown of hospital across the lower mainland capacity(eg. Royal Colombian Hospital) which would/could require further shutdowns and other drastic actions.
  2. From my understanding, even after being vaccinated, you can still catch the virus and transmit the virus. The vaccine isn’t 100%, and therefore you can still catch it. Also, you can still ‘shed’ the virus for a time after being vaccinated. You can’t however catch the virus from the vaccine. Vaccines don’t work like that. You can however experience some symptoms from the vaccinations but that’s rare and it’s all vaccines have the potential of causing people allergic reactions. The take away though is that you’re better protected from catching and/or transmitting the virus even after the first dose. So, get it. Increase your chances of being protected and protecting your loved ones and anyone you come into contact with. Hope that makes it a little clearer.
  3. This is positive for sure. I just can’t over the fact that we’re not able to manufacture the vaccine ourselves, especially in one of the richest and capable countries in the world. We are getting capabilities for the future pandemics that are likely to occur but man, our country really dropped the ball from the past to present. Biotech has to be a homegrown entity going forward. We can’t depend on the Europeans or the Americans for that any longer.
  4. I have hopes that once the Blues turn things around Boston may be able to sneak into that last spot in the East. Big ups to Mike V for making moves to solidly secure a playoff spot. That’s good GM’ing. Hoping to run Paul and Lethunder down and pass them.
  5. It’s due to the delay awhile back in receiving the vaccines from Europe. Also, there’s been a pause on the Astra-Zeneca vaccine while reports of bloodclots are confirmed or not. Canada is receiving millions of doses in the weeks ahead.
  6. I have some hockey players/picks/prospects that I would like to trade for other hockey players/picks/prospects.
  7. It was crazy busy. Probably the biggest thing that happened to the province back in those days. The start of Skytrain, Science World, and many other things. I still haven’t completely forgiven Mum for that.
  8. She’ll be found dead, sooner than later, I think. Too many powerful people will want her silenced.
  9. I got lost at Expo 86 when I was a young lad. I blame god for letting it happen.
  10. Put it up and I’m sure we’ll get enough people.
  11. It would be the smart and prudent move. It doesn’t get much better than Clark.
  12. Excellent deal in fact. Demmer doesn’t have to be elite but if he can be above average for the course of the 5 years, then this deal will be so worth it.
  13. 5x5 is a great deal for the team and Demmer. Benning did a good. Now, sign Ian Clark for the next few years too to make sure Demmer has the best chance at being and staying in top form.
  14. I could see that getting under my skin after awhile. It may be a goof for some but I think it could make someone irritated. Gotta be mindful of stuff like this sometimes.
  15. Good effort NIK. You were on the right track. Good undermining by J. The effort to stay on rebuttal to NIK was the key to the win.
  16. If I die: My POE is: BJ NIK Dav Just want to cover my last thoughts.
  17. I think we need to stand pat. We can certainly look at Dav next round.
