You have to register again, it's easy peasy. You can't simply sign in by going from here to there.

Also, note: you have to enter your email and password as opposed to username and password to sign in.

If you've tried that and it's not working, let me/us know and we'll help you get there.

    Thanks Deb.  I am in.

However, I cannot migrate my photo, files, etc.

Great move by this management team sacking Cull and hiring Colliton, who has a proven track record in the minors and NHL experience.  Also love adding the Sedins, Samuelson and Komiserek to Higgins on the development staff.  These kids are perking up when these guys are teaching them and they now have a contact for all prospects in the system as they develop.

Safe to say we haven't had a development group like this ever and I'm excited to see what they can do.

    Couldn't agree more!

Both Canucks teams are going to ROCK this season.

Love the pool we've put together.  The depth gets a bit better every year and the prospects are now learning from HOF Canucks.  Abby had a good push to their first playoffs appearance and got some wins in the post season too.  Excited to follow them more this season.

Plus Jeremy Colliton is a very good coach; I feel we are lucky to have him coaching at the AHL level.

(Actually, it was Tocchet who said this, not the good doctor.)

Anyone care to speculate on which players "don't realize where we have to go"?

While it's possible the initial reports were overblown, I wouldn't put it past the PR department in any hockey organization to try and sweep this under the rug and downplay what really happened.

At this point who knows, but if story comes out that there is indeed more to this than the official statements, I wouldn't be surprised.

The NHL and all their creeps do a fantastic job of sweeping 'stuff' under the carpet and getting it to stay there.

I would prefer they work as diligently to weed out these creeps and help end this behaviour instead of hiding it.

  6. Probably the best way for long-term toughness is to develop a lot of fast and tough wingers in the minors.

They'll get lots of ice time and lots of fight time and learn how to hit clean and very hard; and then back it up.

In the immediate future, I believe we should invest in a proven player even if it costs us some of our little talented prospects/players.

Couldn't we get someone for Garly or Beau or even a couple guys for those 2.

Come on PA, nobody wants to see Q sitting and bleeding on the ice.  Or EP of course.

I don’t think so and I don’t want him dropping the gloves. We have other players that can captain the ice that way.

I do like this video though. Pretty awesome. I think he’s fine to go in and throw some cross checks etc. and he can probably pick his spots but he’s still small to NHL standards and him getting hurt would devastate our team.

Also do not want Q spending 5 minutes in the box very often; only when absolutely necessary (or we are way ahead in a romp!)

  8. Yeah, me too.  I try to console myself that the hockey is better and faster, way more talent these days.

And gone is that dreaded deathly gloom that hung over the arenas when the bench-clearing batterings were underway.

But nothing gets everybody going like a good hockey fight and it is a distinct martial art in its own right.

Bare knuckle brawling on skates; with rules!  In the NHL Rule Book and in The Code.

Heard on the radio that Quinn mentioned many current and former teammates who helped him become a leader along the way, but Horvat wasn't one of them. Likely just an oversight, but kinda a big one considering Bo was just recently the captain for many years.

The '2 Alphas' of Jannik Hansen fame* perhaps?

*Nice Jannik Hansen goal in here:
