  1. Gotta go out for a bit. You may be relieved to hear that. But watch out! Gonna get th' ol' '53 runnin'. And hunt you Negative Nellies down. Down, I say, down. Still preppin' this one for the Robson Street Parade! Go Bo Go!! Later haters.
  2. Yeah, I used to like the Seahawks, but since that big squid showed up, Seattle stinks.
  3. Tick. Tick. 2 hours. Then, BOOM! Out they come, Miller and Horvat chopping each other's ankles, Motter slamming Baumer into the bench, Quinn and Petey arm-wrestling over their contracts, Gar going ape$&!# crazy on some random fan, Green sauntering towards the bench when OEL slips the carpet under his feet and he flies into the bench ala Bobby (the real Greatest Ever) Orr and the Anti-Vaxing Anthem singer, Jason King-Size Mattress throwing down with Chiasson who was trying to take a nap, new coach Brad wondering what he's gotten himself in for when suddenly Hoagie sticks him in the nads, then Corey Hirsch babbling about some past thing, bit then stopping and shouting, "Holy Hot-Heads Bettman, these Canucks look MAD tonight!
  4. With all that nonsense out of the way, let's get back to cheering the Canucks today (at least, ok, satisfied?). I hope the team comes out with the same attitude, desire, plan, whatever, as they did last game. Finish your checks boys, and, as always, 'Keep your head up!' Get the first goal. Then, all the rest.
  5. It's already after 1pm. Dawn was hours ago. Light up your life. Cheer for a win. (No, I don't believe you never wanted to be one of those people that cheered for a loss.)
  6. More entitled nonsense. None of us can make changes. We are fans. Of the Canucks. Watching the games. Cheering for the team to win.
  7. Well, at least you are learning how to get mad. That was your question, wasn't it? How to get mad? Relax dude; you'll feel better. We're gonna win today and that will help (not hurt). No apologies for ruffling your little downy feathers Ducky. Just get mad! GCG
  8. What a goof. I'll tell you whatever the Marchand I want to. Suck it up. Cheering for a loss (whatever your entitled reasons) is not cheering for the team.
  9. Frankie is the best owner we have ever had. Always foots the bill for everything his GMs request. Local (Burnaby) guy who loves the Canucks and has one goal: Winning The Stanley Cup. Whatever, (paper tigers and candy glass players?). Ever laced em up? Ever had your nose broken? I didn't think so. How to get mad? What kind of a dumbass, entitled question is that? See, it's that easy! Get mad. Real mad.
  10. You just don't get it. And won't admit it. Quit cheering for our team to lose. That is it.
  11. This is the way. Get mad. Don't care at what. Just get really (expletive-ing) mad. And come out smokin!
  12. Game Day Outlook: Positive Team is scoring, and on the PP. Petey is coming around (albeit slowly and WTF happened to him to make him this way) Gar is an unstoppable force as is Hoagy. OEL is our best defenseman and playing lights out and standing up for the guys. Miller is HOT (every way imaginable: scoring, under the collar, etc.) Bo is NOT (but still playing very well and putting up points. Quinn is a beauty and learning how to avoid getting shmunked (is he taller now?). Demko is Demko; that is the stuff of nightmares for the opposition. Our backup deserves a win and could get it today. Our New Burroughs is a solid local dude who gets the job done and frankly a bit of a nice surprise. Grrrraff (Myers) is a force out there and he'll be duck hunting today. Boeser is still one of the best snipers in the league and a great team guy. Need more? Coming back on the wagon? Here's a step up. There ya go. Now, repeat after me: Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go Bo Go! That's it. Now, again, really fast and loud. Let's kill some ducks.
  13. Quoted just in case some Eeyores missed it. Pay attention! (And quit moaning; it's Game Day!)
  14. I don't run the team and neither do all you folks who think you could do a better job. I love the Canucks; always have. You love listening to yourself moan. Endy Story.
  15. Not gonna happen; I've been a fan since before the team got an NHL franchise. Seen worse; still cheering the boys on. GO BO GO
  16. I am setting myself up for Super Happiness! Go Canucks Go! (not loser shcmidtt like this 'fluke' schcmidtt)
  17. Do you forget what GM, what coach, what the team did in the Bubble Playoffs? Do you forget knocking out the defending Stanley Cup Champians (spelling courtesy of 'The Rat's Nose)? Do you forget the feeling that it was all coming together? Look what happened when Those Seattle Idiots fired Quinn. Gave us (spit, spit) Rusty Iron Mike Keenan, Messier, etc? What a bunch of losers you Fire Everybody folks are. Go Canucks Go!
  18. Canucks fire general manager November 4, 1997 VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ The Vancouver Canucks, losers of seven straight games, fired general manager and president Pat Quinn today. Steve Bellringer, president of Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment, the Seattle-based group that owns the team (3-10-2), said he had no candidate in mind at the present time to replace Quinn. He said the search would take several weeks. Quinn’s firing was a surprise since speculation had focused on the future of coach Tom Renney as the team stumbled through its losing streak. ``There’s no change in Tom Renney’s status,″ said Bellringer, adding there were no plans to keep Quinn within the organization. The Canucks’ latest loss was 5-3 to the Carolina Hurricanes Monday night. Vancouver plays at Washington tonight, where the Canucks are winless in their last seven games. Only Tampa Bay (2-9-2) has a worse record than the Canucks and the Lightning already have fired coach Terry Crisp. Bellringer said the decision to fire Quinn was made last weekend by ownership. ``It took a few days to get the process in place,″ Bellringer said. ``It’s obvious we’re not happy with team prformance.″ Bellringer acknowledged that the firing would not immediately affect the on-ice performance, referring several times to the long-term picture. ``Obviously Pat is not on the ice, skating himself,″ Bellringer said. ``That’s something he did in the past. I don’t think it’s going to make an impact tonight. But I think as we go forth, it will be a positive thing and that’s obviously why we did it.″ Bellringer said Quinn was informed of the firing early today in Washington. ``Pat was very stoic,″ Bellringer said. ``He accepted it as part of professional life ...″ The Canucks’ poor performance has been exceptionally disappointing since the team spent $20 million to acquire free agent center Mark Messier after failing to make the playoffs last season. The Canucks have so far failed to re-sign star Russian Alexander Mogilny this season, however. Quinn, a defenseman on the first Vancouver team in 1970, was hired by the Canucks 10 years ago. The Canucks reached the Stanley Cup final in 1994 with Quinn as coach. Twice he went behind the bench to replace fired coaches Bob McCammon and Rick Ley. ADVERTISEMENT Quinn met with the Canucks in Pittsburgh Saturday, urging them to try to turn things around. Renney wasn’t at the players’ meeting, but said he had Quinn’s support. ``I still feel support,″ Renney said Monday night. ``Until such time they feel they have to make a drastic move that might impact me, I’ll always feel that way.″
