It was in the original announcement I think. Glad MacLean is out, but they kept Elliot Freed-to-wear-clown-costumes-Man and let Bieksa go. If it frees up Kevin to come back to Vancouver, it couldn't be better. I quit watching 'the panel' when MacLean buried Burrows under a huge pile of lies (aka BS) after Alex outed the crooked referees during the game!

How many NHL goals did Donny get?

For a BC boy (Trail), he always seemed to hate the Canucks, so I couldn't stand him for that. Very opinionated but usually on the mark. He is much better now that he has been seasoned in the biz though and would probably make an excellent colour commentator. Was excited when I saw the thread title cuz I was hoping we were getting Kev back, so I'm a little let down from that.

He said all his brothers were tougher than he was. I met one at Carlo's & Bud's, and he was shorter than Dave but about 1.5 times as wide. Shook the hand of Marty Gelinas there that night. All night I invited people to shake the hand that shook the hand, and many did. Gelinas was another very highly-skilled player that took a Marchand-pile of abuse, especially in front of the net. Really played his heart out for us.

That team was my favorite. Pat Quinn kept making the team better every game, every trade, better and better, and tougher and tougher. They started every series as the underdog but came so close to beating the vaunted New York Rangers, because by the end of the playoffs, they were the best team.
