  1. If there is a problem in 'the room', it should not transfer to the ice. Perhaps they need a reminder that they are professionals. They have a lot on their plates but they are also paid very handsomely to play like professionals. Perhaps a 'team meeting' with coaches and management to get to the bottom of any issues which might be affecting the performance during the games. I've had fights with people I worked with, but we always got our work done properly. That's what you get paid for. We did better in the 4th game than the previous 3 and got a point. Prepare to do better next game and get a couple points. Then maybe we can get back to having a good time on here.
  2. WARNING: ASS-PULL SPECULATION: She was fired right after getting (how to say it properly?) transferred over to the coaching staff (??) where she would probably come face-to-face with some of the people she had slagged (before she was hired). I seriously hope that nobody did anything actionable around that time.
  3. Otherwise known as "The it's ok if the refs are blind and wrong rule" part 2,344 with 200 extra parts applicable only to the Canucks.
  4. Re: Lions: I was there too Deb; was that you with the cowbell? It was so very cool; I had brought my parents who are long-time Lions fans (CFL fans too; even traveled to Edm for the GC when the Lions weren't even in it). Friends, girlfriends, parents, nail-biting finish, and then GLORY-AHHH. Still got the T-shirt (but can no longer fit into it). Canucks played a great game last night. Petey is on FY-AH. Misplayed the OT, imo, as I do not believe our slower players (JT, Pearson, Brock,,,) should be out there 3 on 3 with the game on the line. Bo had a hell of a game too; take the "C" off Bo? I don't think so. Really looking forward to tomorrow's game. Minny doesn't know what's coming. Tsunami Orcas in the Wild! GO CANUCKS GO!
  5. Thanks James, lol. I am a fan, and I am a homer, but I haven't been called a boy for over 50 years; worked hard labour and held my own, and excelled against grown men from the time I was 17. I do not appreciate dismissive characterization like 'fan boy'. And man, the negativity around here is so childish. "Wah, wah, big boy took my toy"... grow up you entitled little snots! And you do not know more than Coach, GM, Prez, etc. We are gonna win the next game. Couple more guys are gonna get over the flu and Petey will make sure we score so many goals there will be no enemy come-back. GO CANUCKS GO (PHUCK THE NEGATIVE NELLIES!)
  6. I am here. I think there is a flu bug going through the team. That would explain Garland sitting. Might explain Miller's lack of effort. Did explain Myers absence. Might explain why BB and many Canucks have puffy red faces. Might explain why Bo is better now. Might explain why so many Canucks look out of breath. Etc. Also the team put in a tremendous effort and played a great game in front of our backup goalie who only had the one BAD goal against where he over-committed. Petey is world-class. And 'fan boy' is a derogatory term that is inappropriate. Cheers Hammer. Lets win the next one. GO CANUCKS GO! BRUCE, THERE IT IS!
  7. There's good stuff in here but as a dinosaur trying to adjust, I still think there is only room for a few soft players, definitely not room for a majority of the team to play soft. When we had Bure, we had a Marchand-load of tough guys, and the Sedins had a bunch too. What do our Ps & Qs have? Schenn, Myers, ok but, no serious toughest-in-the-league guys at all, at all! (And we need our D on the ice when the going gets rough and the penalties flow.) We should have maybe 3 soft guys, ok it's 2022, maybe 4 'little guys'; not a team half-full of them. We cannot expect P&Q to play at their best and not be injured and intimidated without some kind of nuclear deterrent. At least one bat-shit crazy mofo please, asap; and preferably on the wing, probably as the 13th forward. Why is this too much to ask? Answer the dinosaurs JR (please).
  8. Again, it doesn't do any good because the fish always bite so the topic stays up. Should be able to 'Ignore' a thread; problem solved.
  9. It isn't that. It is the non-stop trolling. And all the 'fish' it catches.
  10. AV is long overdue for the Admin Banhammer: I know you won't do it, and I'm not supposed to talk about it, but... It sure would be nice.
  11. Another chicken-shite decision by the dopes (department of players' excuses); how on earth is that protecting the safety of the players?
  12. Thanks. About time I say. (Just can't get enough.) "Can't get enough, can't get enough, just can't get enough" - Depeche Mode: Man, I can't believe how much they suck! I thought I used to like that song. Thought it was about coke too, lol. First time I saw their video, feee-uckk. BUT, back on point, thanks for the head's up about the pregame show on SNP!

Among coaches with 600 wins to their name, Boudreau's .635 points percentage would rank second only to Scotty Bowman (.657). CRACKING THE TOP 50 Brock Boeser skated in his 326th career game on Oct. 15 at PHI, passing Ron Sedlbauer for 50th most games played in franchise history and joining Bo Horvat (574 GP, 18th) as the only other active Canuck in the top 50 games played in club history. HOMEGROWN TALENT Making his 137th NHL regular season appearance on Oct. 12 at EDM, Thatcher Demko gained sole possession of most games played in franchise history by a Canucks-drafted goaltender, surpassing Glen Hanlon's mark of 136 games. Demko also currently stands just five wins away from tying Gary Smith for sixth-most wins among all goalies in Canucks history. QUICK START Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller combined goals for a 2-0 Canucks lead just 2:40 into the season opener on Oct. 12 at EDM, marking the fastest two goals to begin a season in franchise history, 75 seconds faster than the previous team mark (3:55 on Oct. 5 vs CGY). The goals also marked the eighth-fastest two-goal start in any game in Canucks history. KUZMENK-GOAL Cashing in on the power play for his first NHL goal on Oct. 12 at EDM, Andrei Kuzmenko became the 21st Canucks skater to score in his NHL debut and the first to do so on the man-advantage. ROAD READY The Canucks begin their 2022.23 season on a five-game road trip from Oct. 12-20, which will match team's longest road of the season (also Nov. 8-15 and Jan. 8-15). Vancouver also began last season on a season-high six-game road trip, compiling a 3-2-1 record. DEBUTS TO DATE A total of five players made their Canucks debut in the season opener on Wednesday, October 12 at Edmonton. Ilya Mikheyev (IR) is the only player on Vancouver's roster to not yet make his Canucks debut: Nils Aman registered 10:02 in TOI in his Canucks debut, picking up two hits. The forward agreed to terms on an entry level contract on June 7 after posting 14 points (6-8-14) and eight penalty minutes in 51 games with Leksands IF of the Swedish Hockey League last season. Dakota Joshua collected three hits in his Canucks debut. He agreed to terms on a two-year contract on July 13. Joshua appeared in 30 regular season games with the St. Louis Blues last season, notching eight points (3-5-8) and 16 penalty minutes. Andrei Kuzmenko notched his first NHL goal on the power play in Vancouver's season opener. The winger officially signed with the Canucks on July 13 after announcing his intention to sign with the club in June. Kuzmenko led St. Petersburg SKA (KHL) in scoring last season with 53 points (20-33-53) and a +15 rating in 45 games. Riley Stillman was +1 in his Canucks debut, posting two shots and four hits. He was acquired from Chicago on October 7 in exchange for Jason Dickinson and a 2024 second round pick. 14. Ok, thanks (has to be a stealth concoction, wife hasn't left the building yet...)
  15. I might be up for it. Am I too late?
  16. Yeah, but I just had to throw it in. Petey had one hell of a game last night. Blowing past guys like he was a ghost or something. Once that one-timer slapper gets dialed perfectly in, that will be a good thing Martha, I mean gurn.
