  1. They’re paying him 2.25 mil. We will get to see if he’s worth it.
  2. I did. Outplayed them everywhere except the shootout. Good game for Raty and Bains. The D was strong all tourney. McDonough and Sasson were also standouts.
  3. You never said, “The answer to your question is in the OP.” Grasshopper.
  4. Definitely a contender for worst coach of any time since the Jurassic Era, wobbling Willie was so bad that LA hired him to ensure they could lose their way to high draft picks without bothering to tank.
  5. I was responding to somebody else’s cat comment..
  6. We could get him back to find Jurassic age free agents for us and give him full access to write contracts.
  7. Far from me to defend JB, but he accidentally drafted Zlodeyev and Plasek.
  8. No, I think your thesis is right. I think maybe JB was responsible for a couple of these guys: Zlodeyev and Plasek? I really liked Zlodeyev’s game tonight.
  9. Just think, when this D gets to Abby, we can add Woo and Rathbone.
  10. Impressed with? Hard to think of a guy that didn’t impress, but special cases? McWard, McDonough, Sasson, Raty ( in the last two periods), Johansson. Tolopilo pretty much only got half a period of work. Guy that surprised me the most was Mynio - scarcely a wrong move all game. I have to say the entire Canucks D was impressive. We didn’t even play Kudryavtsev, who was our best D last year.
  11. That sounds ominous. Glad you didn’t say “… take care of your cat.”
  12. We rescued or cat from a family with a three year old who terrorized. When we got her she had lost most of her fur on the sides from stress. The first thing the cat did when it came to our place was hide at the back of the cupbourd with the pots and pans all day. She finally came out that night. She’s nineteen years old now and insists on her schedule being kept- when to get up, when to get scratched, when to let her out on the deck, when to feed her dinner, when to get brushed, time for nip and treats, and time for bed. The smallest member of the family rules the roost.
  13. Some people like to overreact, some like to overhear, I like to overbeer.
  14. He’s been removed, alright. Some even question whether he exists.
  15. We keep him a box like Schrodinger’s Cat. He both is and is not.
  16. Yep. One hit and done for Jake. He learned the difference between ‘hit’ and ‘hit on’ and figured he preferred the latter.
  17. Yep. He is one dedicated fellah. He is twenty and lead his AHL team in +/- by a mile.
  18. College players tend to have a leg up on junior players with regard to the coaching and training they receive - that could compress the timeline. Offensively, he is ahead of Raty, in my opinion.
  19. That would be nice, but Bains is also a very creative player. The plays he was making at the end of this past season reek of potential. Malhotra was never a particularly strong offensive player compared to his defensive contribution. He was an extraordinary defensive player - big (6’2” 207), strong, fast and conscientious. If Bains becomes anything close to Malhotra, that would be quite something - he has the brains, but not the size nor speed. Smarts can make up for a lot, though, and determination and focus- and Bains seems to have lots of all those. When you see a guy trying this hard, it’s hard not to pull for him.
