  1. OMG she used the bio I wrote Too funny.
  2. Because nothing was lost and the outrage was that there were lesser players staying on the team, but Baer is still in the organization and can be recalled any time. So those lesser players are not necessarily safe when there is another option waiting in the wings should they truly falter. The outrage was that we "let go" or "lost" a superior player for lesser players and since there was no claim there is no loss of that player. If he was claimed the outrage would make sense and if you go back and read the last 50 page before the announcement that they cleared a lot of folks thought the likely scenario was that Baer was going to be claimed. That might not be the case for you in which case what I am saying doesn't apply to you but it does for a lot of posters.
  3. I understand why people didn't like the move, there are 50+ pages saying just that for me to filtre through if I ever forget the reason
  4. I think Utica will have to lose some vets, so I am not sure if a trade is in the works or possibly loaning players to other teams.
  5. It's so great to see fans that wait to see the outcome of moves before reacting immediately and irrationally to them.
  6. Don't forget nuclear bombs... a close miss with a nuke probably still gets the job done
  7. I think it depends on how you are approaching the keto diet. Short answer: you can't have any of those starchy plant foods. Long answer: it depends: The main factor in the Ketogenic diet is to get in (and then stay in) Ketosis. Ketosis: In order to get yourself into ketosis you must deprive the body of sugar and carbs for a period of time. Before going into Ketosis however, the body will turn to the liver and muscles to get glucose (sugar) from a process call glycogenolysis - where glycogen is basically broken down into glucose to keep blood sugar up. This is why it is important not to be cheating on the Keto diet as this glycogenolysis is a strain on the liver and muscles. (i.e. once in ketosis do your best to stay there) Once this glycogen supply is depleted the body should now move into Ketosis where the liver produces ketones as a result of the breakdown of fat into energy. If this fat metabolism happens too quickly there is the risk of moving into a state known as Ketoacidosis - this can drastically lower the pH of the blood and lead to some serious conditions even death. So what does all that mean? Those starchy veggies can be useful in a Keto diet (in limited quantities) to regulate the fat metabolism happening in the liver. This would be more useful for some people (especially diabetics) in preventing acidosis. That being said one would have to keep a close watch on ketone levels either through urine strips or as others have mentioned breath monitors. In which case it might be better for that person to not count the amount of carbohydrates they consume but rather the net carbohydrates which is: # of grams of carbohydrates - # of grams of fibre = net carbohydrates Limiting net carbs to about 20-40 per day should be sufficient for most people to get into ketosis without running the risk of ketoacidosis. Since those foods you mentioned can be very high in carbs and some also being high in fibre, they could be used in this form of Ketogenic Diet.
  8. No no, it's the Green Hornet's sidekick.
  9. Don't forget that infant mortality rate is included in that statistic. Although yes people are living longer today the statistic is also skewed because we are much better at keeping newborn babies alive than ever before. If the old adage "you are what you eat" has any truth to it, you probably don't want to be eating dead stuff all the time.
  10. Keto Bun Ingredients ● 1¼ cups almond flour ● 5 tablespoons ground psyllium husk powder ● 2 teaspoons baking powder ● 1 teaspoon sea salt ● 2 teaspoons cider vinegar ● 1 cup boiling water ● 3 egg whites ● 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional) Preparation 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl. 2. Bring the water to a boil and add it, the vinegar and egg whites to the bowl, while beating with a hand mixer for about 30 seconds. Don't over mix the dough, the consistency should resemble Play-Doh. 3. Moisten hands and form dough into 6 pieces of bread. You can also make hot dog or hamburger buns. Place on a greased baking sheet. 4. Bake on lower rack in oven for 50–60 minutes, depending on the size of your bread. They're done when you hear a hollow sound when tapping the bottom of the bun. 5. Serve with butter and toppings of your choice. Store the bread in the fridge or freezer. Number of Servings: 6 Net Carbs per Serving: 2 Literally tastes just like bread to me... I don't bake but this is super easy to make. Sometimes I add baker's yeast to get a fluffier bun.
  11. I guess that's when a player gets to know what management really thinks of him. Being told how much you suck and are a drain on the team for hours on end may create some bad blood.
  12. I won two tix to the game against the yotes on Thursday.. I can't make the game so if anyone would like to go I will transfer the tickets to you. The seats are in Section 318. I will just donate them if no one is interested.

@debluvscanucks please do :) I don't even mind transferring them to you and if you end up going you can always transfer them to someone else or donate them (there is an option to do that right at ticketmaster but I thought I would check to see if anyone could use them first - My suspicious nature is that donating them just ends up being a tax deduction for ticketmaster )

I'll pm you after our meeting (1:45)!  Again..if someone else speaks up, that's ok too because I'm going Wednesday and, supposedly, Thursday.  I can't take another meltdown at home in case my TV blows up or something so feel my only safe option is to go to the game(s).  :)

  13. Thanks man, just so you guys know he was there at/after nightfall when I was posting all that stuff... see my post addressing him, he was still in the thread... left without responding until his vote for me post. Also he never voted TL.
  14. It’s falcon guys... easy, should have voted him last round unvote; vote Falcon
  15. No what could be confusing about that? You are literally the worst human being in history.
  16. @falcon45ca just tell me if it was you lol
  17. My future games will all have mandatory MKs that get randomized if not submitted. If this was a fetch mechanic then he’s dead to me.
  18. Literally thought about switching to falc last second there... had it typed out... sorry town if it was falc, it’s too hard to figure out without mKs
  19. Although falc didn’t vote TL, MR only voted for him when TLs fate was pretty much sealed and tried to drop a doubt that the mafia was choosing not to kill to sus slankers.
