well I will help you get up to speed: Kesler87 claims to be TB and wants all the TP specials to contact him Master Radishes claims he was contacted by the sheriff randomly since the sheriff supposedly investigated Junko who showed up as mafia. I think we should vote for Junko and if he turns up mafia then sheriff is probably legit but if he is TP we lynch MR unless he outs his sheriff. That's pretty much where it stands from my understanding. Oh and I guess the vig randomly contacted intoewsables and will be killing mau5trap. Not too sure why TP specials think it's good to be contacting unknowns at all though especially two of the best mafia mafia players in intoewsables and MR.

Hahaha, Tell me I lie! You know its true! Doesn't mean I don't have crazy love for you!!! It means, I think you're a great player and often times I think your time in mafia games are cut short because it's so hard to get a read on you. I've seen you play many different roles and your style has always been identical in my mind. I think I can get a read on most players due to changes in how they play (sometimes right but probably mostly wrong) but with you it's like trying to get a read on a professional poker player

First if you bothered reading my post at all rather than just trying to infer what it was saying by reading a few words you will see I wrote almost exactly what you posted so I'm not sure what it is you are trying to argue other than the sake of arguing. If you look up the page you will see that I specifically sited Willie Mitchell's hit on Toews in comparison to this one. And no he shouldn't have gotten a match penalty because the matter was settled right afterwards when Willie answered the bell for his hit by dropping the gloves - matter over. This is about GAME MANAGEMENT and the refs failed at game management in the Pens - Bruins game period. I agree it is a vague rule but I think the spirit of the rule is in Game Management. It gives the refs a tool to use to make sure games don't get out of control and lead to actions that start to get into the realm of criminal activity (i.e. assault) I don't want to see the league sissified (honestly that is not my intention at all) but if these borderline assaults keep happening that is what the masses will demand. If the refs can step in and call a match penalty (deserved or not) to pre-empt and diffuse a situation I think they should. That they don't do this, IMO, is worse for the game in many ways. Finally you're right, I can't recall a single time seeing that called, I have seen match penalties called before but generally due to fighting. But if the refs did call a match penalty on Orpik after the hit I think I can safely say he would not be injured right now.

I am going to point this out to you because you don't seem to understand what deliberate means Deliberate - Done Consciously or Intentionally Now how exactly did he time it perfectly if he was not deliberate about what he was doing there? Here is something to consider to give contrast to the situation. Orpik Deliberately hit LE = Injury Kassian Unintentionally High Sticks Ganger = Injury By the rule's definition there is no way Kassian should get a match penalty in this situation and he didn't (was given double minor for high sticking - this is the right call) Anything beyond this is up to the league disciplinary committee and we know how that panned out. Now by the rule's definition using your own words Orpik places a perfectly timed hit on LE and this causes an injury. If he was given 2 minutes for interference I can understand people being upset with that call (I think it could have gone either way). But if the Ref decided to give Orpik a match penalty for the hit that is well within the rules and up to his discretion. There should be no league discipline for the hit as it was not dirty which there wasn't so we all agree that was the right call. Orpik maybe did not deliberately want to injure LE but his Deliberate hit did injure LE. Obviously Orpik did not receive a match penalty otherwise I would not be writing this out, but if he did it would still have been the right call by the refs and an experienced ref should have at least considered this, not because of the hit or the injury but because of what I was saying all along that it may have prevented the situation from escalating. At any rate it's obvious people here don't understand what I am trying to say at all even though I feel I have been very clear. No it was not a dirty hit like Neal's or a lot of Steven's hits. But it was one where a match penalty could have diffused a situation that could have prevented what happened if the refs only exercised some foresight and game management.

Mafia: The Game [Isola Dei Sconosciuta] GAME OVER SIGNUPS OPEN.

So um have we started yet? if so, Vote Kesler87 -
Yah cause what some players got away with in the mid 90's NHL are so relevant today They may not call it but the rule is there... What don't you understand about what I'm saying? - I'm not saying they did call it, or that they are going to call it, I am saying that the refs COULD HAVE diffused the situation that game IF THEY DID call it. I'm sure Stevens insight would be most welcomed in this conversation, unfortunately I don't know him personally and therefore can't ask him but his playing style during his career is pretty irrelevant in this situation. If Stevens had of hit Eriksson and Thornton wanted to fight Stevens I am sure he would have been more than happy to oblige and would have pounded Thornton big time and still the matter would have been settled.

Hitting is one thing and should stay in the game, even that hit is fine in the sense that there shouldn't be any further discipline but don't be so naive to think that he was only doing that to separate Ericsson from the puck. Orpik knew exactly what he was doing and was trying to hurt a star player. Suspension worthy? not at all. A match penalty to calm the whole situation? Totally prudent at that point. Some may say hindsight is 20/20 but most officials in the NHL have been around the block and should see something like that coming. For me I have no problem with the hit, but a clean hit can still be an attempt to injure. Rome's hit in 2011 SCF was a clean hit (at least as clean as the Orpik hit) and he got the longest suspension ever handed out in the SCFs... that didn't take hitting out of the game. As I see it Ericsson not having possession of the puck = Rome hitting Horton half a second late. Rome should have gotten - 2 minutes Interference + Match Penalty - nothing more Orpik should have gotten - 2 minutes Interference + Match Penalty - nothing more So I guess the inconsistency is what I have problem with. Thornton is completely to blame for his actions after the fact but the situation may never have escalated that far if the refs had a smidgen of foresight. There were three chances for this whole situation to have been avoided IMO. 1. Orpik answers the bell for his hit - Yes clean but also everyone knew exactly what it was, an attempt to hurt a star player. Orpik takes a few punches from Thornton and life goes on. 2. Refs hand out a match penalty for attempt to injure a player - a match penalty for that hit will NOT take hitting out of the game regardless of what you think. Some people (you et al) may disagree with the match penalty but situation diffused at least for the remainder of that game and really when is everyone going to be happy with any call a ref makes? 3. Thornton thinks for a second about his actions before he takes them and realizes the best way to get back at Orpik is to win the game and/or with a clean devastating hit like Orpik gave to Ericsson. And if Thornton had of succeeded in giving a big clean hit to Orpik I would still say a match penalty would be in order because he was still attempting to injure Brooks.
