  1. If trading Dickenson means giving up a 2nd round pick, imagine what's the price to pay when trading the likes of Pearson, Myers and Poolman.
  2. One of the few things that we learned about this management group is that, they always emphasize the word "patience". so nothing will happen ..... "now"
  3. Which team would acquire an underachieving winger with a 7.5M qualifying offer, and you expect to get a top RHD with lower caphit in return?
  4. There is no point to pick up another RHD from Winnipeg when fans are all over Myers and Poolman already.
  5. I still dont get how they could pull a Harmonic for a 3rd round pick trade last season. They dumped salary and got something in return at the same time. Looks like a miracle now.
  6. The point I wanted to discuss is, if there are no changes at the blueline, how can Bruce prove against that "relying on goaltending too much to win games" thing?
  7. I remembered one of the reasons that the management didn't give Bruce an extension was that, he relied on the goatending too much to win games. But with the same defense as last season, what could Bruce do differently?
  8. just checked again, all three guys are still UFAs. Not even one of them stay...
  9. How much did the Canucks offer Motte before last year's trade deadline?
  10. Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has signed Danny DeKeyser to a professional tryout. DETAILS | vancanucks.co/3B0KfjN
  11. The Hamonic/Senators trade few months ago amazes me even more!
  12. I don't like that some fans keep whining about the Cam Neely trade, while the Canucks actually won a few lopsided trades of their own. Namely the Naslund trade, along with one or two trades involving Mr. Milbury.
  13. Not directly Canucks related, but I just don't like the fact that after years and decades, Vancouver is still a one-team-city. Don't the Whitecaps and Lions have a season GOING ON right now? Why the media put 90% of the focus on J.T. Miller while nothing is actually going on? I understand the NBA and the potential investors may hesitate when talking about bringing back an NBA team, but I just don't see the passion from the Vancouver fans and community, comparing to the Sonics fans and Nordiques fans who want their teams back badly!
  14. Nice..... So the Avalanche got their goalie from the Capitals in Grubauer. Now the Capitals get a goalie back from them.
  15. Sorry I didn't closely follow this. But isn't he already 26 years old (i.e. not a rookie any more), and he's been playing in the KHL (the most wealthy league in Europe I suppose)? What would make him want to play overseas under an entry level deal? How much is he earning in the K? Again sorry I didn't closely follow this; I thought it was a bidding war when I first heard about him.
  16. So that leads to two playoffs series wins? I can only hope the same magic works for one more team .....

  18. It was enough to get the job done. Not only for the lighning, but for the whole NHL The fan at 0:42 puts it the best...
  19. I believe the North American way actually sounds strange to the Europeans. I remember some NHL analysts mentioned it before. This league REWARDS bad teams (with high draft picks). If you are not used to the N.A. way, it feels uncomfortable watching teams "tank" in purpose. Outside of the N.A., a bad team should be kicked out from the top league, instead of having an advantage over the other teams which have better records. In the N.A. the market size determines if a team stays in the top league or not, instead of the win/lose records.
  20. If this city cannot attract players besides Canadians, then the developments of pro sports in this city are in trouble. It sucks if Vancouver is still a one-team-city 10 or 15 years later.
  21. "At least you get to live in Vancouver." Then why nobody wanted to play for the Vancouver Grizzlies?
