The Hamonic/Senators trade few months ago amazes me even more! -
What are your unpopular Canuck opinions?
The King of Kings replied to Coconuts's topic in Canucks Talk
I don't like that some fans keep whining about the Cam Neely trade, while the Canucks actually won a few lopsided trades of their own. Namely the Naslund trade, along with one or two trades involving Mr. Milbury. -

Not directly Canucks related, but I just don't like the fact that after years and decades, Vancouver is still a one-team-city. Don't the Whitecaps and Lions have a season GOING ON right now? Why the media put 90% of the focus on J.T. Miller while nothing is actually going on? I understand the NBA and the potential investors may hesitate when talking about bringing back an NBA team, but I just don't see the passion from the Vancouver fans and community, comparing to the Sonics fans and Nordiques fans who want their teams back badly! -

Nice..... So the Avalanche got their goalie from the Capitals in Grubauer. Now the Capitals get a goalie back from them. -
[Signing] Canucks sign Andrei Kuzmenko

Sorry I didn't closely follow this. But isn't he already 26 years old (i.e. not a rookie any more), and he's been playing in the KHL (the most wealthy league in Europe I suppose)? What would make him want to play overseas under an entry level deal? How much is he earning in the K? Again sorry I didn't closely follow this; I thought it was a bidding war when I first heard about him. -
I believe the North American way actually sounds strange to the Europeans. I remember some NHL analysts mentioned it before. This league REWARDS bad teams (with high draft picks). If you are not used to the N.A. way, it feels uncomfortable watching teams "tank" in purpose. Outside of the N.A., a bad team should be kicked out from the top league, instead of having an advantage over the other teams which have better records. In the N.A. the market size determines if a team stays in the top league or not, instead of the win/lose records.
