  1. Just watched the game.. That "slash" in ot was a joke of a penalty. Even I can admit that. The other American penalty on the breakaway was also bad after seeing the slow motion replay, but in real time it did look legit. All in all OT was a bit tainted unfortunately. But man.. The comeback that these Canadian women put forth was amazing. They deserved the win no matter what.
  2. It's almost comedic how predictable these games are getting. If we're up by anything after 2 periods, we inevitably lose the lead then can't score... If were down by any amount after 2 periods, we can't score to save our lives. It reminds me of that LA series a few years back where our penalty kill was awful and the kings were scoring on practically every power play for a few games... They were like 8-12 or something outrageous. It was so predictable, and you could tell the players saw it coming too. The same thing is happening now. It's becoming a mentality.
  3. Nice!! We got our one goal! Now pack it up boys, let's go home.
  4. Jeez... The game hasn't even started yet... And on WGN news... Yes, the news, refer to the upcoming game as "the Canucks are down one sister"
  5. Just an FYI.. Game is also being shown on WGN Chicago (ch 259/shaw/ in my area). I might watch a bit of that to see it from a homer hawk point of view. That will probably be the highlight of my evening.
  6. Her - 8.5/10 Really good film. Some people might find it boring, since it's fairly long and mostly consists of discussions between Joaquin Phoenix and a voice over. But, man, I really enjoyed it. They did a great job portraying a believable near future technology/lifestyle. A lot of creative effort even went into the clothing and decor of the characters and environment. Excellent film. Joaquin was great. The secret life of Walter Mitty - 6.5/10 Movie was alright. I was expecting a bit more from it. Gravity - 7.5/10 Pretty good film. Terrific special effects. Storyline was a bit soft, and I would have liked to see more of George Clooney. The movie was also a little short.
  7. Oh god... Is this panel a reflection of what we're going to see over the next decade?! If MG traded Horvat+ for Ladd the city would riot (again)
  8. Would have been nice to see how that fight played out. A serious Silva is always fun to watch. Sucks it had to end in such an early, freaky way. Hopefully he makes a comeback, but I seriously doubt it. Weidman fought well though. I'm looking forward to his match with Vitor.
  9. So this dude survived a proper plane crash? Impressive!
  10. I only read the first page.. so this may have already been said... But can you imagine Kesler or Burrows doing the same thing in downtown Boston? They would get absolutely mauled. I'm not defending the actions of the moron who picked a fight with Lucic, but let's not get bogged down in how "bad" this makes our team/city/fans look. We've all read the stories about the actions of certain Boston fans towards Canucks fans in Boston. Let's just imagine if those same idiots got a chance to pick a drunken fight with some of our chirpier players. There is no doubt in my mind that the results would be considerably worse.
  11. first time reading this thread... You put Rocky Dennis in the GDT. So much win. Well played, sir.
  12. I'm guessing customs probably put the zap strap on that package haha
  13. Straight from the bag. Finely grinding them up first helps big time so they don't all immediately settle to the bottom.
  14. 2 scoops of chocolate protein, 1 cup of oats, 2 eggs, 1 scoop of natural peanut butter, 1 banana, coconut water.. you're around 900+ calories right there, less the fillers and added sugar/fat you'd get in a weight gainer. Not to mention it tastes significantly better. Blend the oats first - by themselves, so they grind up nicely. I use proline advanced complex naturally flavored chocolate protein. I believe it's even made in the lower mainland. It's the cheapest protein I could find that's free of artificial sweeteners and colors.
  15. I love how he's still charging $50 for shipping.
  16. I'm going to re-phrase my original question since I'm genuinely curious to what others think. What did you guys think of gsp's performance? Was it just me, or did he look pretty bad? Noticeably smaller, weaker, slower and had no explosiveness. His legs alone looked tiny compared to usual. Ever since his knee injury he looks like a shell of his former self.
  17. I pretty much agree with this. I'm a gsp fan, and I think Hendricks should have been awarded the win. But, based on the 10-9 criteria, I can see how gsp may have narrowly come out with the victory when you factor in the "you have to beat the champion" bs. If you step back and look at it objectively as a fight, it's plain to see that Hendricks won. It goes to show that mma judging criteria needs to be seriously looked at and updated. That being said, did anyone notice how awful gsp looked in this fight? This fight shouldn't have been the controversy that it was. Gsp should have steamrolled Hendricks. He looked smaller, weaker, slower, and had no explosiveness whatsoever. Ever since he came back from his knee injury he hasn't looked great and isn't getting any better. I hope whatever issues mentally he's going through is what's causing his physical issues. Otherwise I don't think there is any coming back for gsp and he might have to seriously consider hanging them up for good. The last thing I want to see is for him to come back and get slaughtered for his next 3 fights and be forced into retirement.
  18. Ditto on the rjd2. Definitely his best release since dead ringer. I'm thoroughly enjoying it. New cage is out. Decent album, a few really good tracks mixed with a few misses. Overall one of his better recent albums as well,
  19. With MG's recent track record of trades... are people actually excited to see another one? We need to make a move to improve this team... but I'm scared as hell to watch the train wreck that MG will inevitably create when he finally pulls the trigger again.
  20. Right after they originally stopped and surrounded the range rover you can see at least one guy physically attacking the suv. It doesnt take a genius to see that the driver was in serious danger at that point. Considering the size of the mob surrounding him, and being that they were beginning to attack the vehicle in an attempt to get him out and attack him further, I consider this a clear cut case of self defense. What other options did he have? Stay and potentially get beaten to death in front of his family? That was literally his only other option. Watch the rest of the video. The driver could have run down many more bikers if he wanted. There was one part of the video where a group of bikers drove ahead and blocked off the highway to divert the suv to an offramp which would obviously lead to city streets and traffic congestion... so they could, get this.. get him out and attack him, which is exactly what they did. But the driver could of easily rammed through those guys blocking the highway at 120kmh if he really wanted. He also could have done more damage when he was finally stopped if he chose to simply put his suv in reverse and gun it. You can clearly see this driver wanted no part of the situation from the moment his vehicle was first attacked. You can also see that this group of bikers were out for blood pretty much from the get go. These bozo's did a great job of not giving this man any other choice but run them over. If you back a dog into a corner don't cry to everyone when you get bit.
  21. That's an unfair assessment. Realistically, most bikers and drivers in general obey the rules of the road. You just don't notice them doing it because there's nothing to notice. Idiots exist within any category of motorists. You notice them more because you're likely stewing about it for 10 minutes while you're passing hundreds of other drivers who are driving safely.
