  1. To Canucks Jamie Drysdale To Ducks Tyler Myers (Canucks retain some salary) 3rd round 2024 Why Ducks do this: Jaime Drysdale was injured and only played 8 games last year (tore labrum). He is RFA and still hasn't signed, so the Ducks are hesitant to offer him anything. 2 years ago, he got 32 points, but also a minus 26. His future is uncertain, maybe better to get a draft pick. Myers only has 1 year left, so he will be gone anyways. Why Canucks do this: Get rid of Myers, who has no future with this team. Jamie Drysdale is a wild card now because of his injuries. But he was the 6th overall pick RHD from 2020 and still young. Once we get rid of Myers, we have some cap space to sign him to a reasonable deal. https://www.capfriendly.com/players/jamie-drysdale
  2. Canucks isn't really a contender, so no way he would sign here for that cheap.
  3. Come on management! I want The Two Towers at our 3rd pairing D. Who cares about whatever conflict of interest because Adam Foote is a coach? Is that really that big of a deal? A poll shows that 62% of the Canucks fans wants Cal Foote as a Canucks. Get him!
  4. Happy for Schenn. Canucks cannot afford that contract.
  5. Get Cal Foote. I don't worry about the locker room problems too much. Professional hockey is a very small market, and everyone knows everyone anyways. Our cap space is tight (still need to resign EP40 and AK96) in the next little while. Cal Foote is young and we can still shape him to our defensive needs over the next few years. Any veteran we hire in UFA, we will nearly 100% need to overpay. We done that overpayment dance enough times already.
  6. Leading the Islanders 3-0 to 2nd intermission, ends up lossing 4-7. Yup it is Tort's fault. He must have made a worst strategic error than Midway.
  7. I was debating whatever its the players or the coach's problem for much of the year. Then one game changed my mind: http://vansunsportsblogs.com/2014/04/11/what-was-the-canucks-lowest-point-of-the-season/ Now let's blame this one on the coach for a second. To do this, Torts must have done some MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE tactical error in the last 20 minutes of the game. I keep thinking what those errors could be. Did Torts suddenly went nuts and start yelling at the players, and the players got mad and stopped playing? Did Tort change his defensive tactics to "I don't even know what to call it"? Nothing lines up. The only possibility was if Tort pull the goalie for that whole period. That's when I start putting the responsibility on the players. Maybe injury. Maybe lack of motivation. Maybe endurance. I am not sure. Now I am not saying Torts is flawless. But I just don't think its fair to put all the responsibility on him, based on what we have seen.
  8. Guys, prepare for nuclear attack! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny_R8OVYfrw
  9. We just lost all 7 of our fleet carriers in Midway.
