  1. i feel that because he has only been playing defense for a couple years that his ceiling could be underestimated/underrated.
  2. yeah I thought so. I just remember the Gretzky deal to LA included alot of cash to Edmonton.
  3. If thats an issue can NHL teams include cash in deals? They used to but I am unsure if they are still allowed. If so, why wouldnt the Canucks just include the bonus money to be paid to Myers in any deal?
  4. didnt he basically sign for league minimum? why the outrage?
  5. If the Coyotes are worried about not being able to sign Cooley, I wonder if he is available in a trade? Maybe the Canucks can package this years first + prospects for Cooley?
  6. As long as its not too much weight and the extra weight doesnt slow him down. In todays NHL with the speed, in many cases it is better to be strong and wiry rather than big and bulky.
  7. what Dmen are on the market? What dmen could have the Canucks acquired for Lockwood and a 7th round pick?
  8. Agree with this. if we are rebuilding and going with younger cheaper contracts, we can afford to have an operpaid player or two. Canucks just need to stop signing any older UFAs that make over 2 or 3M/year.
  9. i know. just stating the sentiments from the articles and "early" reports posted. That being said, if he can't skate at an NHL level he is going to have issues. So that is abit concerning.
  10. early reports saying he is a project player? high bust probability?
  11. An overpayment for Bo wouldn't have been so bad but the Canucks already have too many players on the books that are overpaid. Too bad it didnt work out.
  12. Happy Bo got his payday. He put in his work to improve his skating and play.
  13. So what is his bust probability status at?
  14. Yup. Hughes is probably the most gifted offensive d-man on that all-time Canucks list but as far as defenseman go there is no way I would put him ahead of Ohlund and Jovanovski. Not even sure I would put him ahead of Lumme or a healthy Salo.
  15. Hard not to look at Carlsson in that #3 spot. Michkev seems abit risky.
  16. Is Michkov gegenerally rated higher than Carlsson?
  17. There wont be any decent RHD on waivers. Hot commodity. Maybe a trade to be made though.
  18. https://bostonhockeynow.com/2022/08/27/bhn-wrap-boston-bruins-house-fire-tj-miller-trade-rumors/ "VAN: JT Miller continues to be a hot commodity on the trade rumor market as it seems like the player’s camp and the Vancouver Canucks are in a negotiating standstill, and now it seems like there’s some teeth to the rumors even as he denied them earlier this summer."
  19. Yeah i saw that. He had a good shot on net with a juicy rebound and his teammate had an open net but whiffed on it.
  20. he is going to be compared with Kemell who has been lighting it up on Finland's first line.
