[PGT] Winnipeg Jets at Vancouver Canucks | Dec. 10, 2021

I think petey is on the verge.. j mentioned last night the chemistry doesnt seem right with garland and pods. There is a lot more to it then points, its about knowing when and where your linemates will be and that seems to be lacking. He has struggled yes and perhaps lacks a bit of confidence shooting but his play was good last night. Unfortunate things like one time passes to him for a shot are not in the right place for the shot so he fumbles the puck to reset.. passes a litte off can kill plays. He is looking better and better though.. good sign -

The injury to hamonic worries me more then a little. We wont survive long with him and oel out of lineup as the others are serviceable but cant move the puck as well.. would love to have juolevi and laugh if you will, tryampkin. This team needs size on back end., niether was really given much of a chance but other teams castoffs were over paid to come here. Not a fan of bennings gm abilities. Drafts yes. -
If you didnt notice, they played a completely different style last night. It wasnt effort but a pressure defense and a strong forcheck. Green’s system didnt pressure the puck in the defensive zone but instead stayed positionly between the goalie and puck carrier. Offensive players love time and space, both of which were taken away last night for the most part. I love the fact that boudreau has personality and a sense of humor,, he will have short term great results with this uptight group. Long term we will see!

Holy smokes. Imagine that. Forcheck and pressure the puck on defense instead of 5 goalies! They played fantastic tonight!! -
[Report] Canucks fire Jim Benning, name Stan Smyl as interim GM

Maybe scott walker can lace em up ,, most on this board are too young to remember when he played for vancouver. Boudreau is apparently bringing him along for his staff? Tough sob! -

Curious to see what sort of system boudreau adapts with the players he has. Who knows about steamer,, i like that he wants to be harder to play against. I know a big defenseman that would have added to that but benning liked other teams castoffs instead. For those who said he didnt want to be here?? Name one player that hasnt felt that way recently. Hope an environment is created to attract players not run them off! Popcorn is ready! -

So tied of green blaming effort and young guys finding their game as reasons for playing so poorly. US broadcast pointed out so many mistakes canucks defenders made. Eg. Myers playing goal not using his reach being 6’7 or pressuring puck in any way. Boudreau was very critical of structure not effort. ( not saying we need boudreau ) but at least there were instances instead of effort excuses by green -

There seems to be a big problem in the room,, hirsch alluded to it as well.. why did schmidt want out so quickly? The team is constructed with perimeter players with skill,, however, which players do the dirty work? All teams need role players,, are we relying on pods and hoggie for this? What about everybody else! Who on this team diggs and fights and goes to the dirty areas? -
