Alright, I have an interesting take on something...
Was Green low key an absolute genius?! Hear me out, because I know this statement sounds moronic. What if... he wasn't trying to be the coach of today, but the coach that helped lead the Canucks to success in the future...
Just think about it... By employing the worst defensive system imaginable he created a "supergoalie" in Demko. He's been training him in every single scoring scenario for years knowing that the coach that is his successor will actually have a real defensive structure. But by the time the Canucks are contenders Demko will have some insane super ability to make saves look easy because all he did was face shots during his tenure with Green as his coach. The normal scoring chances look like a piece of cake and the ones deemed impossible by most goalies are now possible due to all of that game time training!
Could Green have been the hero to this story???
