  1. At the nhl level there shouldn't be much of a process. If you're constantly in process, your team just flat out sucks.
  2. With Green I can lollll. He still has Miller on the half wall despite having zero use there lol.
  3. Yo what the hell, Green?! Why isn't our best player on a line with Miller and Petey anymore??? Chiasson was due for 6 goals in one game. GOD WHAT AN IDIOT!
  4. Lots of game management. 2 blatant holding of the stick calls (one on Hoglander, the other on Yamamoto), a hold and a trip.
  5. Jesus christ, Green. Imagine doing so many little things well like winning puck battles, setting up your teammates, helping escape the zone and create a forecheck to only be rewarded with 14 minutes of ice time.
  6. What does Green have against Hoglander? He was our best player in the game, is consistently one of our best players and the kid seems to get the shaft every time over other players. Höglander had an A+ game. So many great plays. Made the game tying pass. Could have had a couple other apples. But no, Chiasson has to be on the top line.
  7. Not for that. It's a 2 minute penalty. Not nearly egregious enough for a suspension.
  8. I'm pretty stoked to see Chiasson on our first line, personally. We all know this is the best line in the nhl. Green knows it. I know it. And you'll know it too right away here. If we had Wayne Gretzky on our team I hope we would have waived him for Chiasson.
  9. I'm glad you put Chiasson on our first line. Obviously that's where he's gonna go and we are all super stoked about it!
  10. I'm willing to give grace to Benning because I think on paper this team just needs some defensive pieces. However with that said, it doesn't matter if we iced the Tampa Bay Lightning. With Green and his assistants' systems that this team deploys we will never find the same success. You can't win games sacrificing offense 5 on 5 as much as we do. Nor is our defense even particularly good. We play a heavily defensive game without the great defensive players to do so. Ever since after the first season I've been advocating that Green wasn't a good coach and I've only had that idea confirmed every season. This team is just an easy team to play against, despite having quite a bit of skill.
  11. I don't know enough about Lammikko but if Lockwood continued form then that's a great fill in line for sure! Can't wait for Motte to be back!
  12. I watch the Oilers and Turris was probably the worst Oiler last season. Complete liability. Absolute shell of a player he used to be. Zero confidence combined with zero effort.
  13. Glad Bailey cleared. That guy should without a doubt be on our 4th line. Another player completely overlooked by Canucks management.
  14. While I agree, I think we're overating OJ's defensive game. He did well this preseason defensively, no doubt. But he isn't phenomenal defensively and his skating severely limits his ability to defend. With that said he had a good stick. But yeah, talking as if he'd have outstanding +/- values is a bit exaggerative. If he ended up +20 anywhere then clearly it's a mistake to not have him on anybody's top 4.
  15. The only thing is that defensively Rathbone can improve over a season. Finding your dynamic offense over the course of a season as a young dman is extremely rare. Young defensemen learn how to play defense at a far higher rate, which is why Rathbone is significantly more important than Juolevi and should be given ice time.
  16. I'm guessing it's because our team is overly serious in comparison to other teams in the nhl. We don't have many fun easy-going guys. We have overly serious on ice personas like Miller and Petey and Edler (at the time) and most of the other guys are quiet. The only guys that were similar to him were maybe Sutter and Pearson. He brought a joyfullness of playing with the boys, but if your team isn't into that (and based off of his early mic'd up videos) then he just becomes the "annoying" guy in the room real quick when everybody else is hyper competitive. In his early mic'd up videos and interviews he expressed how he was already uncomfortable being loud and fun. I'm guessing it didn't change.
  17. Green loves only having one player capable of retrieving a puck per line lol.
  18. He can talk about it and connect with Hoglander over it! They'll be so relatable to each other!
