I think Jake remains on a pretty tight leash that is slowly being lengthened (Green has said as much numerous times). The "fighting" part is there if he needs it - but I don't sense he goes around looking for it. Trust me, having been in many rooms that hit on Keith last night was more effective than a fight. It really changed tone of the game if you were watching.

Me, top six and top six on any team in NHL. His speed and ability to disrupt play is just starting to be harnessed. He will then get back to understanding how he can dominate per his junior days in terms of offense. He will never be a scoring leader but a 20-25 goals year from him on a consistent basis is not an unreasonable expectation if he continues to grown like he has. Further, he is already top 10 in NHL in hits/60 and 30th overall when forwards are considered. Here is what I firmly believe he will be able to do in NHL (in terms of comparative dominance) in two years.

Some of it is very entertaining. However, even I have a limit and even yesterday added two to my exclusive list. One wouldn't shut up on sending me messaged and kept to the same crap, lies and personal attacks. That gets old so, voila, blocked!
-
To get on my blocked list, you have to be a very special breed of troll. I think he/she/it is not there yet but I guess with some training and mentoring from some, he/she/it has the potential.

TCities dominated Kelowna on the scoresheet in Game 1 5-0 and but was not clearly the better team. Kelowna outshot them 39-32 but made some defensive blunders and the goalie was shaky. Some of the Rocket's did not seemingly show up ready for the physical play either. Kole Lind was one of the only players who seemed to show up every shift for Kelowna. He was hitting anything not tied down and ended up credited with 6 shots though I swear he attempted 2 or 3 times that many. I have not been on the KL bandwagon as much as some but his 5x5 stats and me seeing more of his play has me thinking "why didn't anyone take Kole Lind in the first round?"

Winner: Owen Sound though it was closer than it should have been. Gadjovich had four shots and was even on the night but missed two glorious opportunities that he should have likely buried. Looks like London played underdog role perfectly but one wonders if they can keep it up as the ice was very tilted at times.

If you drive around France at all, you see some good ones but always make sure you use: before: and, for those other of you, more certainly before:

Imagine if he could have consistent wingers for a full season - and wingers that are legitimate top six for that entire season. Imagine if he was given more offensive zone starts. He projects nicely to the 30ish goals, 60-70 points which would be a very nice top 6 center who can play up and down the line up.

He made some brilliant passes in this morning’s game. Say a few more bad things about him and he become a real star!
-
His skating is a notable strength. Been a great skater of note since early teens.
-
What?! Did you watch the WJC? I am assuming you didn't and also have not been able to watch TPS because his skating this year has been more than fine. The Finnish league is arguably faster than most any out there - pace can be frenetic and looks poised and if beaten, it isn't because of foot speed it is more as he is learning reads and makes the wrong "turn" at times. When he joins the rush he is "right there" and gets back without much concern almost every time. He carries the puck quite a lot - again, do you watch games? The TPS "style" is a "center come back" break out so they do pass more than otherwise but he lags the puck a ton and if you watch many of his assists/goals from year, they have come after his rushing with it right into the offensive zone from his zone (and often from behind the net). No, he isn't Paul Coffey but don't think many are. He is learning the pro game - part of that learning, and what Salo preaches, is to have some "boring, bland and safe" part to the D game. He is giving Ollie rope and you can see it in the ice time he gets. I don't know if you are trolling or just don't like the player but at least be remotely factual. The kid is a stud. His body is NHL ready, his speed is just fine and if he can learn the D game just a bit more he is NHL ready and that may be this coming fall. He is 19. He has all the tools. Wow. Just wow.

He had six hits last game and has averaged more than 4 for about a month to pull into top 10 in entire NHL in forwards hits/60 (and tie for 30th overall period). He is even starting to get penalties for being strong (that phantom tripping penalty last game). He will find the balance. Snarl isn't his problem, getting a bit more offense to his game is the next step. BTW to @-AJ- - what do you mean about "Virtanen could not keep up with the twins"? Do you mean in terms of drop passes or ??? as if you mean skating, were you making a joke or ???
-
Well, the league does have "criminal offense" penalties.....
-
Likely because it is far from certain then or even now if he will be an NHL player.

Very odd, I thought he played better in the 2nd than the 1st (?). Third he looked really solid. Ryan may think/say that as Turku was on their heels much of the 2nd but it was more the forwards were too far separated and they couldn't get puck out for long periods of time. They were outshot in that period 12-6. He and Tallinder ended up -1. They were matched up against the top SaiPa line most of the game.
-
I thought, once again, he looked solid, calm and quite physical when needed. Tallinder had a better game too which I am sure helped the cause. TPS looks like they could take this series this must be great experience for the young guy.

He is far more of a "me first" player so far in his career in compare to Crosby. Like you said, he can change but it may not be in his DNA to change. The Oilers games I have been able to watch over the past three years show a consistent pattern of him trying things that "almost" work leading to puck in his own net or an odd-man penalty taken and the Oilers penalty kill almost gives a 50% assurance of a goal. He puts himself out of position so often you wonder if he is being coached or simply allowed to do whatever he feels is best. The latter seems apparent often.

Your media seem to be a collective assortment (not saying all but apparently the bulk) of clowns who would rather troll their own team and stars than ever demonstrate any loyalty and support. I would imagine it is always a troll feeding frenzy on your call in shows. -
Virtanen has quietly pulled into the top 30 NHL forwards in total hits and now is right at the edge of top 10 for hits/60 for NHL forwards. As his confidence has grown, so has his physical play. I don't know about 'coming out' but if you can have a forward who hits that often with those wheels and if he can get his shooting percentage even to 11 or 12%, this guy will be a top six mainstay and a playoff warrior.

He's not doing it in Edmonton either.

Anyone who isn't better....

I am quoting Hextall. What info you got?
-
They have CAP issues in Philly and fitting in a high demand UFA versus a steady team friendly cost in Tanev may tip the scales.

Who on earth thinks that? Brodeur isn't in the league and it is arguable he wins two Vezinas. -
Hit to the head = criminal offense. It is a translation thing. He took a lazy holding penalty later but the hit to the head was from him being out of position. It simply wasn't his game.
