  1. Good point, Connor's production was assisted a lot by holding onto Motte's coat.
  2. Yes, that will certainly help him get his confidence back. Great strategy.
  3. Thanks for proving my point. You are here for one reason. Very clearly one reason.
  4. I hope he has grown up as that stuff is crap. Leave that to the pukes of the league like MT. If he does that in a Canuck uniform he is putting a target on the back of every good player for another team to take a run at without thought of safety.
  5. From someone who I know who follows Vegas (lives there), says LB has been a good player this year but snakebitten around the net. No idea what sort of shooting percentage he has but I bet it is very low as apparently he gets lots of shots on goal (posts and crossbars too...and they don't count as shots) and he only has a couple of goals so something seems out of place. Perhaps the dam will burst for him. Clearly given CHL and AHL he knows how to score.
  6. Have seen teams score a bunch of goals against the Canucks like that this year. Just sayin......
  7. I don't know how any objective fan of the Vancouver Canucks can watch this kid, watch Lind, watch OJ, watch Dahlen, watch Demko and so forth and not see something fundamentally different on the horizon than has been the case for the team for a long, long time. Boeser was the first of this next wave. Virtanen and Horvat are finding their games. What a fun team this could be to watch in a few years (as early as next) with players like EP.
  8. We clearly see a different player on the ice. Such is life.
  9. Guddy is the type of player a team that has playoff aspirations will need/want. 6'5" mobile dmen do not grow on trees. He is relatively young still for a Dman and is far better than the majority of the haters understand. He will be a solid and, now signed, reasonably affordable RHD guy to assist the coming years.
  10. He is a very intriguing prospect. Has some elite skill to his game.
  11. He would already by ahead of Toews, Benn and Coutuier if solely based upon play this season. Marchand at 33 may be at best an afterthought.
  12. That is what I was trying to say to the other fellow with stats.
  13. What were the seats like. It has been years since I was in that rink and I remember funky site lines. Of interest is full team skate today and OJ was missing (given day off? Maintenance?). Did you notice if he was labouring? They play again tomorrow I believe (or Thursday, cannot remember) so will be interesting to see if he is back in or off again for something.
  14. So you are saying people born early in a year, like January, have no hope of being a professional player?
  15. Marketing Swedish Twins in Vegas just seems a natural.......
  16. The difference between a 16 year old and 19 year old is massive. The difference between 19 years old and one second and 19 years old and six months - nada. Been there, seen it and lived it. Go ahead and try and come up with more ways to denigrate the Canuck prospect and pump tires on someone else but this is one your negativity simply makes zero logic sense. After nearly 7,000 days on the planet another six or even 9 months doesn't make a massive difference...particularly when the number of years playing the game is the same. Glad to hear your mind was blown by this. It didn't seem to take a very large charge to complete that mission.
  17. No. Just kidding. Gaudette is a nice looking prospect - even better given he is a fifth round pick leading NCAA hockey as a junior.
  18. In the summer - catcher. Tried pitching - apparently strike zone mattered more than velocity.
  19. That would make the argument tougher if he was lumped in with EP, for example. Don't stir the pot or it will confuse people.
  20. Sorry you missed. Playing table tennis with you (I know you will respond) is fun....
  21. Someone who has spent his life in the sport disagrees with you as do many others. Keep trying slugger.
  22. Glad they have appointed you their spokesperson. Must be a proud day for you!
  23. I am a BT fan and his numbers are encouraging but in context, no more so than the Canucks fifth round pick from a few years back. I like the way BT plays the game and he would make a good addition to whatever organization drafts him (including Vancouver) but I only warn that his offensive stats are not that great for a freshman in NCAA - they are more than good but do not speak to an outstanding offensive talent. Can he grow - of course he can but translate those numbers to CHL (there are formula for those who like doing such fantasy) and it isn't blowing anyone away. Moreover, no one would say NCAA is at level of most upper tier European pro leagues (let alone, say, SEL) and if he was getting half that rate of scoring in SEL at his age, would people still rave about him as a potential second overall pick?
