I doubt it is the same - my sources are magical. Remember?

I stand by this. Given his role, it is amazing he even gets chances but he continues to grow and I wouldn't be surprised to see him be 15 goal guy at some point. He currently has double the number of goals as Henrik, same as Nick Ritchie, one more than Troy Brouwer etc. He isn't in the line up to score BUT he has the ability to do so and has demonstrated that at every level he has played. I remain of the opinion he can at NHL level too.
-
Wow, cool story bro. When he was drafted, there was talk about his leadership and in Utica they raved about how well he did in the "room". If you are going to go "there", why didn't you mention that he hangs out at clubs with Virtanen where they overeat together. Do you remember a guy call Burrows - scored 10 goals in his first 125 or so games including 3 his entire 82 game second year and many people started talking about him like you are above now. I see CDC all-time greatest thread is about Burrows.

Apparently your government seems to. I wonder where they think public money comes from?

I find it all very entertaining. I also find how many people on this forum take random information that is then picked up by people in the media as "fact" when often that material is far less factual/credible than it should be prior to be released by any media. I have seen some things put out by the Dawhilawal (spelling?) guy that seems mostly quite good and sometimes it surprises me as I get it first hand and it is supposed to remain "quiet" and I respect that but see someone quoting this D guy about 5 minutes later. Clearly Vancouver has one media type that is pretty well linked into the Vancouver scene but in Europe, things are a bit less "leaky" and it is better to get information though other means that the media. Finland isn't too bad. Sweden and Germany - very challenging.

Investing in the stock market - Discussion

Give certainty about pipelines, give certainty about NAFTA and give certainty about permitting resource projects - those three things alone would have provided a massive influx of confidence into the economy even if the message in each case was anti-development - at least people would know. Right now this wishy-washy approach isn't helping. Come out and say once and for all what pipelines HE as PM supports. Come out and say what he considers the hills to die on for NAFTA. Go back to China and try and repair the damage he did recently. Go back to Japan and do the same. -
Ah, no. Responding to the player you posted about.

Trudeau effective in the market Thanks Justin! A recent column in The Globe and Mail entitled “The TSX isn’t invited in the stock market party. Here’s why” questions why major indexes around the world including the U.S., Europe, Asia and emerging markets are posting double-digit gains while the TSX is almost flat. The writer concludes that it has to do with the uncertainty surrounding NAFTA and weakness in commodity prices. While there is some truth to this, in my opinion the TSX suffers from what I call the “Trudeau Effect.” Since the federal Liberal government was elected with a majority on Oct. 19, 2015, I decided to compare the performance of two large-cap and highly liquid ETFs, namely iShares S&P/TSX 60 ETF (XIU.TO) in Canada and SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) in the U.S., from January 2016 to the end of 2017, and, for comparison and control purposes, from January 2013 to end of 2014. The annualized return of the Canadian ETF between Jan. 1, 2016 and Dec. 31, 2017 was 15.3 per cent versus 22.3 per cent for the U.S. ETF. However, from Jan. 1, 2017 to Dec. 31, 2017, the Canadian ETF rose by only 6.8 per cent versus 26.3 per cent for the U.S. And 2017 was a year of co-ordinated global expansion! The two years prior to 2015, a worse period for commodity stocks, XIU also underperformed SPY, but the underperformance was more typical of the long-run underperformance of Canadian indexes versus the U.S. equivalents. The annualized XIU return from Jan. 1, 2013 to the end of 2014 was 11.8 per cent versus 17.7 per cent for SPY; the corresponding returns from Jan. 1, 2014 to the end of 2014 were 12.5 per cent and 14.1 per cent, respectively. Evidence indicates a fundamental change in the Canadian economy in the last two years In other words, the underperformance of the Canadian large-cap market has increased dramatically and incrementally since the beginning of 2016. And the underperformance of Canadian stocks has become even more severe over the last two to three months. Moreover, the correlation between the Canadian and U.S. markets, which was always quite high, has fallen somewhat since January 2016. Thanks Justin! -

Soooo many more people lose doing that than will ever make money. -
Isn’t the Kinder Morgan line taking a route that has been used more than 60 years without incident?
-
lol. I am not mad and you cannot seem to even take a joke. Chill dude. oh, same sources say a sore wrist is also involved - enjoy that tidbit as part of your amusement.

There was a refinery in BC but the NDP shut it down in the 70s - right? Further, you need a pipeline to get the oil to the refinery unless you seemingly prefer rail which is far more environmentally and human safety wise much riskier.

Please pick another Canuck to criticize harshly so they can too score a couple of nice goals.

People who invest month by month and panic are where all the money in the market comes from to pay out to those who stay in it for the long haul. -
Gagne was an exceptional player. Pettersson putting up 47 goals in a season at some point would be sweet for the Canucks.
-
You seem to be a Canuck fan hence I am guessing it is your team. Teams that give up on high picks more often than not regret it. Your team has done this very thing many times in its history. It would be unfortunate if your Canucks did that with this player next year. This night, for example, he was an excellent player who created chances, played with purpose and was very strong positionally even when his line-mates appeared to not have that same commitment.
-
I think trading away his combination of size, skill and speed before it has a chance with a really good team would be a massive mistake. He seems to be the type of player who had little coaching and could dominate based on his combination and then hit pros and all of of sudden needed a reset. He has looked like an NHL player this year. He still seems to be overthinking as it isn't coming naturally yet - that takes time. I am old enough to remember Kesler's first few seasons and though wasn't a huge Canuck follower remember wondering what Canucks saw in him as he could skate but did little else. Until Virtanen is at least 23 or 24, he is far too valuable in terms of potential to give up on him. He isn't hurting the team (in fact, one of the most responsible players on the team and stats back that up) and is chipping in offense here and there at a rate /60 mins that is pretty respectful (roughly same as Cam Atkinson, Nick Ritchie, Brock Nelson and several other similars). I am just saying, I would be surprised if management of your team was that short-sighted to give upon him when he is really made some nice strides.

I know those voices in my head are not real, but they have really good ideas......

LOL. I can assure you the people are not fake. They stand by their information. I trust them. You don't need to. In fact, why even should you? They were right on EP being sick but that was more widely reported so whatever. I get a ton of insight on hockey in Europe from a number of people and we share back and forth and it forms much of the information I share here. If people want to use that information or choose to ignore it, really isn't something I can control or, and sorry about this, really care about. I will continue to post from the basis of information I have and that includes information I get from a variety of people - put me on ignore if you don't like it. Call it fake news. Do whatever you wish!
-
Joe, you logic and reason has no place in this discussion.
-
Fair enough. We all have to trust our sources or get new ones. I like mine. I have played with many of mine. Mine will also enjoy the news that they are magical (make-believe). One in particular will find that news quite entertaining.

You need a new dictionary. I wasn't caught, I was calling you on your post. Deal with it. If you don't agree with an opinion, that is what discussion is for. If you are dead set on constantly doing anything you can to put the team that this site is about look poorly in any given conversation, why do you seem so surprised to get called out?
-
Then why do you constantly comment on my input?
