  1. Karen Wilde was once a kid I thought had a stellar career outlook but, wow, that was a bullet dodged by Canucks not drafting him
  2. Hey, one game is still an NHL game.....ouch, tough crowd!
  3. You paid it off in spades with good discussion. Cheers. It could have gone either way with the big guy.
  4. OJ's lateral movement looked excellent. Wonder if his knee issues of past four years are finally a thing of the past? Kid has huge upside if that is the case.
  5. played some box as well....it is almost worse in that outdoors is so hot or even indoors in summer as those rinks can get real warm when ice is gone
  6. So far, and given the D market, he has played well enough and met his contract value to date. He remains very mobile and takes up a lot of space clogging lanes etc. He eats minutes and tends to be responsible for the most part. Don't mind him on the Canucks at all and he tends to get derisive commentary that is unearned. And to the brilliant suggestion to not have him and use the money on the RFAs (and overpay them), who will eat those minutes?
  7. F888 all bag skates. Put all those smug forwards AND dmen in goalie gear and then we will have a skate. These guys have not a clue what it is like to play with a literal "bag skate" equivalent each and every game. Besides being the most mentally stable without zero quirks, goalies are also the fittest (and generally the best people too).
  8. Freudian or was your training for snow boarding?
  9. He looks at least 5'10" out there.....
  10. That would be two big dicks to you sir.....
  11. He has played 770 NHL games ...... not bad for a guy never in the lineup.
  12. looks like a guy loving a tough skate at his 107th training camp.....
  13. Brian Burke is working out a package as we speak....just needs owner's approval for the second first round pick.
  14. Sucks - NHL needs this guy as he is one of the true superstars with character. Too bad for Pens and entire league.
  15. Cheers - how about he is what he is and once in the NHL he will have his accurate numbers acceptable to NHLPA posted and leave it there. Removes all creepiness etc. Cheers!
  16. D-Money, awe....this was getting really fun. I don't want him reported as he might leave. No harm or foul. Will let him/her/it has last word as that seems really important and wins are likely hard in that world. Cheers and good to see some familiar names.
  17. You're fun! See you are new but are here A LOT so please don't go away. Good for you on size. Look mine up....I am not far behind you (heavier than ever...COVID sucks). I am a goalie so I suspect I would fare poorly (one fight of record.....I actually won but he turtled). Good luck in the locker room - cannot think of one where you would be fine but perhaps if you stuck to us goalies
  18. Generally people that speculate something that is the worst about someone doesn't feel very good about themselves. The poor guy could have a myriad of reasons and until, if he ever, let's people know what those are negative speculations are horrible.
  19. I enjoy hockey and if I can call out some things I find hypocritical or creepy (latter in this case), I like to do so. That fact that some continue to engage while way over their heads is amusing - I am guilty of enjoying having some cheap amusement. Your timezone works for me too as my day is long done and chill time now and loving the fixation on other dude's size. Go into a professional locker room with a tape measure and see how that goes for you
  20. I like statistics on the ice too.....arguing the size of dudes, that is creepy....and I am willing to bet it is largely by dudes who are both small and never played. Just my opinion. Cheers
  21. My life is awesome. Seems you need a new hobby. Good luck with that.
  22. Great to hear it buddy. I had the opposite - COVID was consuming for some of the ventures I am involved with and some good friends in Europe had their families devastated so I spent time on that too. Hockey took some of a backseat but people were still training and looking for input and players still needed evaluating even it very little was "live" anymore. I have learned that players who are on camera a lot are not necessarily the keys to the play or even the reason one teams does well (or poorly). Following the puck is good for getting non-hockey people to watch I guess but keys to the game are more subtle and you need to see it live to get that. Cheers.
