  1. As boring as this will sound, sufficient sleep, adequate hydration and a balanced diet that isn't fad based (ketogenic diets....geez) but that avoids excesses of refined sugars will help more than most anything you will spend your money/time on. Most people don't drink enough water - in fact, try to ONLY drink water for a few months (and enough of it) cutting out any other form of beverages, have broth before any large meal and try to avoid eating after 6 PM or before 9 AM and you will notice a difference.
  2. Never played so don't know. I know few guys "in the game" who played the NHL titles. A lot of guys say they do (when endorsing) but I never saw it often if at all. Most guys need a break from the game when they turn on the screen.
  3. I don't think "right" is the word either way. It is just chatter. Nothing from either club but more from people around those organizations, scouts etc. and it is beer-o-clock and people chat. Same places you hear things like who is and who isn't likely to re-sign. Rarely 100% accurate but if you keep track of all you hear, it tends to point in a direction that is at least somewhat credible. What amazes me is all these "rumours" one hears and people quote on boards like this - some are actually pretty legit and I wonder if the poster is actually someone I know or not.
  4. It was tongue in cheek aimed at the cover..... I game but not hard core. Used to on the road a lot...particularly one season when my roommate was hard core to the max and taught me a lot on a couple of games that really enhanced my enjoyment.
  5. I can't answer for either team but my guess is they have to come up with a Kesler replacement.
  6. Apparently NHL '20 will work very well until April next and then will disappear from your system and/or simply fail to load. This version will prove to be only effective in regular season mode.
  7. For what it is worth, Avs and Ducks both want to know more about Sutter. May mean nothing but who knows.....
  8. You posted this and it only took less than an hour for a few bridges to have their dark spaces vacated long enough to have people calling him essentially a "floater" who is not interested in winning. Some people really don't know how to human very well.
  9. What an entirely false narrative about a "warrior" like player who gives everything he has for the Canucks organization (inclusive now of leaving term/$ on the table that were out there in free agency). Brutal character assassination of one of the most loyal and capable players to ever put on the uniform. No, he isn't' a superstar but he is the type of player EVERY team in the NHL would love to have and the type you win with. Some posts on CDC are so far down the "shake you head" road you really wonder what people expect. Rant done....
  10. Jimmy, this signing showed both a player with an ability to take a hometown contract perspective (likely argued more with his agent than with Canucks) and a management team sticking to firm resolve but still showing player respect. Nice fit/mix. This sort of deal gets noticed around entire league and builds curiosity with other potential veteran signings as well as within the current room with both players and their agents. This is the sort of sense you get from this - stability. It bodes well and also indicates that FINALLY the Canuck management had enough (barely still) depth that they could be this firm and they were fortunate to have such a loyal soldier to deal with for the process.
  11. What about the Green New Deal?
  12. Well, get to tell the OP that they are now "Officially Wrong" but it was fun to tell them they were wrong in other ways the past few days.
  13. Have you watched him shoot? His released from what I have seen of it reminds me a bit of Boeser's. The kid can flat out shoot a puck and seemingly is happy to do so from almost anywhere on the ice.
  14. He is raw - but the talent is tantalizing - I think if a team is willing to wait, he could be the home run of the draft. I don't agree that he plays a small game, I do agree that he isn't ever going to overpower anyone but I have seen him in traffic and he can take care of himself and can be a poo-disturber with the best of them if/as needed.
  15. Wow, this is an amazing signing and could not be more ideal for Vancouver in terms of terms and is below the market of what Edler could have received in terms of AAV. Does nothing to their CAP issues that don't start to show up until (potentially only that is) year 3. This demonstrated three things: Edler took a hometown discount AND probably didn't agree with his agent who would have pushed for more term and/or AAV Canucks management clearly understands and is sticking to a development plan and that does not include long-term commitments post a certain age when their young core should be mostly "emerged" (also showed a bit of hardball played...NO way this was Edler camp preferred deal) Some in media and CDC (Edler "done" with Vancouver) created a narrative based upon nothing whatsoever This, as stated in other threads, is one of the best FA signings by any team so far this summer in terms of team need, CAP situation and ensuring a "fit".
  16. 5th Line used to have 11 handles at that point we guessed.
  17. I think people are ignoring Newhook who may have a ceiling similar to Podkolzin.
