  1. Damn you guys and your intelligent responses! Where's the fun it that?
  2. The point I was making to the post I was responding to (quoted below) was that the default for this site is always going to be for those who cheer for the team. There are children, new fans and those who may not have the knowledge that you possess. All kinds of fans. The commonality being this team. So when you make a negative comment, the reaction will be defensive by default. Of course discussion, opinions are allowed. No one is denning that. But if you make a comment (like the one below) just to evoke a response, then yes you are, by definition a troll.
  3. So what, you 2 read my response to someone else which doesn't mention you by name or anything and think, hey that's me, I must respond.... interesting.
  4. For... seriously? This is fan forum for fans of the Canucks. If you say something negative about the Canucks, the normal reaction is going to be defensive. Attacking those who continue to support the team is not normal. The mod is doing a great job ignoring you trolls and letting you have your moment. Doesn't mean she is naive or less knowledgeable or whatever the hell you believe. The naive ones are the ones who think they have all the answers.
  5. Hang in there Canucks fans. Stay positive. Season isn't over yet. Lots of negative posts here lately but if you look closely you'll notice it's the same people over and over again.
  6. One observation. I'm not sure if other would agree but to me it seems, The more you post on 1 topic the more childish you look and less credible your argument becomes. Like callers on the radio show. Call once or twice, people will listen. Call all the time, you're a nut job that's hard to take seriously.
  7. I was pretty disgusted by the tone of questioning. TEAM guys sound like teenage girls trying to manipulate a conversation. All so they have material to complain about after the call. People seem to think these media guys are on their side or something. All they are doing is stirring up crap so they have something to fill the air with. I'd have a bit more respect for these media people if they themselves have every solved a problem. But all they ever do is make the problem worse and point fingers.
  8. Oh OK. Thanks for the clarification. I guess the POV is different then. I still see a team in a playoff spot (don't shoot the optimist) . What I was trying to get across was give it at least the season and possibly playoffs. And maybe a few more games with a healthy line-up before giving up. Vigneault himself was doing poorly at the start of the season but turning it around recently. So that would be more of a comparable sample size IMO. And remember we could have had Eakins as coach.
  9. Not sure I'm seeing an argument here.
  10. Good observation. Also Quinn replaced by Iron Mike. And Kirk Mclean traded for Sean Burke. Lots of regrets.
  11. Wasn't a great game. Honestly was expecting more. But nothing worth about. Lack was unbelievable. Corrado and Sauve got valuable time. Henrik was 0% in the FO dot. He shouldn't have been taking that PK FO. But Richardson..... 3 games left before the break. Go Canucks Go!
  12. Coach and captain back in the same game. It's Christmas in February!
  13. First off, good on you for being upset at losing a Canuck. I prefer that attitude to dissing players on the way out. VAN has little in offensive D options. Traded Connauton. Gragnani didn't pan out. Barker didn't pan out. Weber looked decent. VAN just got a guy who made Weber expendable in MTL. That's the way I look at it.
  14. Weise wasn't playing when they were healthy either. Got Lain, Ferriero, Archibald, DeFazio as options from the farm vs Sauve, Mullen, Biega, Andersson, Tommernes on D. 3 of those FW have filled-in already vs none of the D.
  15. Just for kicks, went to look up the last trades between MTL & VAN. 2003 - Canucks trade Rene Vydareny to MTL for FW Sylvain Blouin. 1996 - Canucks trade Jassen Culimore to MTL for Donald Brashear 1990 - Canucks trade 1991 4th round pick for Gerald Diduck 1989 - Canucks trade 1991 2nd round pick for Jyrki Lumme ..... stopped looking after 1989. But yeah, doesn't happen very often.
  16. Good luck in MTL Weise. Should fit well. Diaz is worth a shot. There's an opening right now. Healthy scratch for healthy scratch? Why not?
  17. Sounds more like TV guys trying to hype up their trade deadline show. Which was a televised disaster last year. "Re-tool" is a pretty convenient buzz word which could mean anything from 1 trade up to a full rebuild. 29 other teams make trades to improve their team. But the Canucks re-tool because we're special.
  18. ^ Yup. Bieksa out till after Olympics. Undisclosed injury. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=442591
  19. There's a lot of that going round.... I remember in the past, occasionally you'd see a member of another fan base trolling VAN fans, talking crap, basically just trying to stir up things...... Now we don't even need other fan bases to troll or trash talk us.
  20. When the going gets tough...... internet tough guys give up on their team mid-season.
