  1. Bedard's so dangerous...I'm sure the goalie was expecting a shot there, not a pass! Beautiful!
  2. As a school admin with students set to return (many of whom have traveled abroad/"home" for the holidays), I'm quite relieved to see these measures being put into place.
  3. Uh, you know the team with the most points wins? They do impress some of us. This teams' strength is to outscore the other team..we've seen what happens when they focus on not being scored on...they play tentative and give teams too much room. Sure, they both matter but playing the right way also means going on the attack and trying for those unimpressive points.
  4. https://globalnews.ca/news/9380748/canada-china-travel-rules-covid/?utm_source=%40globalbc&utm_medium=Twitter Canada will require COVID-19 testing for flights from China as virus surges
  5. Edler played 925 games with the Canucks, more than any other defenseman in franchise history and more than all but three players at any position. He has more goals, assists and points than any other Vancouver blueliner and he spent the bulk of his career with that organization. Man, sure is sad to me that he's not a Canuck any more. Took this pic about 100 years ago...a fresh faced Edler. All the best to him, will always be a Canuck in my heart and I loved the way he played the game. Nothing but respect for this guy.
  6. I saw Edler's message to Gagner and he's all grisly LA beat up now. Miss that guy...he was another who many screamed to get rid of but....I hate seeing him in another jersey. keepalltheplayerz
  7. My son reminds me every single time...trust me. I know that many (most) aren't on board with JT. It's ok, they'll come around once he starts hitting the scoresheet again. Just like last year.
  8. Our top point getter last year....but let's ignore that because it doesn't fit with the narrative.
  9. It has everything to do with it...people have decided on JT, one way or another. And they're simply...differing opinions. That's all. Cheers, never going to change your mind. Same over on this side so we can agree to disagree and still be friends (I hope).
  10. To those I cheer with, to those I debate with, to those with shared as well as differing opinions...I wish you well. Every single one of you. Happy New Year. May we all see more smiles than frowns, more laughter than tears, more good times than bad...and more damn cowbell.
  11. I think it reflects on the fact that teams get tired of having to answer to the media/outsiders about stuff that is "their business". Especially when there's frustration setting in and a lot of negativity swirling around with media hounds chomping at the bit to get something to run with. Everything's a story these days and I'm ok with him saying what he did. We don't need to be in on every single thing that happens within a team. It's their deal. JT was the first one congratulating Delia on a great save but somehow it gets more readers on board to have a villain. To take that angle rather than just taking it for what it was...a guy with urgency in the dying minute of the game with possession who was waiting for his goaltender to get off so the extra attacker was in play and they could try to bang in the tying goal. Big bad wolf stories over something twisted into big meanie stories. He showed nothing but respect to his teammates in that interview but suddenly it's not about that. I'm sure his teammates are happy to just let this fizzle out rather than put them in yet another negative headline that's built up out of nothing.
  12. And if the refs stop being so lopsided in their inconsistent calls, it'll help with that. One team gets a penalty shot and another gets...ignored. Jets with 5 of 7 calls in the second/third generated some pretty good momentum for them. But no disagreement in that our pk HAS to be better. Even if tired from piss poor officiating. Mik should've got a call (too). Mattered. That penalty shot was the turning point.
  13. Turn the page...... Let's go, Canucks. Let's get back to talking about hockey with a good win against the Flamers.
