  1. OMG so cute AJ. I've changed the title again, which may become the ongoing deal to keep things fresh around here.
  2. Oh wow, we sure had a lot of casualties in the survivor pool.
  3. What. A. Finish. this is turning into
  4. My God, Jacksonville is awful.
  5. Love that these guys are back in action together. And word has it that one band member is a huge Canucks fan. http://youtu.be/7M2L-Z_B3aE?t=32m33s
  6. That's part of it..he's just making it so much easier for the defensive coordinators on the other side. They can rule out him running with it, as he can't/doesn't (at least effectively). So limiting when he can't be an option C. As you've said, an easy first down on that one. He was a liability, not an asset there.
  7. I know (RG3), thank God they're up...have them in the Survivor Pool today.
  8. I've got it on...wow is right.
  9. Don't let the NFL off the hook so easily.....here's the point you're missing. You're right -it's not the league's job to babysit players but any GOOD employer will intervene if players have substance abuse issues or are exhibiting violent behaviour and breaking the law. It's why there are EAP's. If they don't address it, it allows that behaviour to continue unchecked and it could lead to future problems. They're not doing their employee any favours by not addressing it - they owe it to them to do so in an overall wellness light. The issue here for me is HOW the NFL handles (or fails to) incidents. They'd rather protect star players than effectively address situations that are completely unacceptable. Sweeping them under the rug like a dysfunctional family is nothing to support or make excuses for. It's not about quantity - every single assault of a woman (or anyone for that matter) that is "outside the game" still warrants review by the league in a stance that says "we don't tolerate this" as part of their product. Hell, we hear the CFL sucks argument all the time but I love the messages the Lions have been sending through their Be More Than A Bystander program. Ignoring domestic violence is irresponsible by any employer. To suggest the league should just leave this to someone else is missing the mark. Issues worthy of "Government punishment" indicate an employee likely isn't fit to work until they deal with those problems. Even football players. Actually, even moreso because their work environment involves getting fired up and being physical on the job...if they carry that home with them the league likely should be involved in making sure they keep it on the field.
  10. That play in the second half???! He had nothing but yardage in front of him, started to run then TURNED around and went back into traffic then threw the ball away (was almost sacked)! It was such a clear indication of how horrible he is at scrambling and how tentative he can be. Make the decision and go...don't have second thoughts. He is not confident enough to pick up the yards himself but you need a QB who can.
  11. Just got home from the game...was a great energy in the building and it was so nice for them to get a good win. They were finding their groove by the end, Logan and Harris didn't stop their legs from moving and got extra yards on some plays that they should have been down on. Manny The defense was fired up, love it. Sol celebrates every tackle like it's the best thing ever...so great. Decided to buy my seat as a season ticket for next year.
  12. Big shoes to fill there. Likely literally. Lokomotive? Depending on how he plays. LOL
  13. Watching a doc on Mean Joe Greene. Love these old films.

  14. Free game tonight oh yeah. Would have rather seen a win against the Riderps but hey, I'll take it. Just not sure of what the remainder of the season holds...been such a strange year. Kind of like the season the Canucks had with so much uncertainty and confusion. So sad for Lulay...he was our guy and I wish him a speedy recovery...hopefully, he can return to the game. He seems determined to. Go Lions Go!!
  15. Oh, I agree....will put it out there (too).
  16. Pretty much everything on here tonight. Mom's birthday, always hits kinda hard. https://soundcloud.com/matthew-good
  17. Here's what I think. I think the NFL has to set an example in how they address this crap because it's unacceptable. But here's the other thing - happens every day and awareness that is generated should remind us that: 1) it's not ok to strike others, ESPECIALLY women and children 2. football players are people. We put them on pedestals like they're Gods (we do that with athletes) but they're human beings like the rest of us and don't deserve special treatment 3) help is out there
  18. Yes I watch AGT and yes I think Emily West is beautiful and talented and had better win.

There is 40 reality singing shows, they shouldn't even be allowed on Americas got Talent. It should be one of the magicians or that AcroArmy, they are insane.

Quintavious will probably win but I'm cheering for Mat Franco. Go magicians!

The magicians and acrobats are pretty great too. But as long as they let singers enter, I think Emily's in a league of her own.

  19. Ah, my poor Giants...whatever happened to them? I will continue to support them but a far cry from "my" team of the mid 80's that shut the naysayers up: LT (the real one), Banks, Pepper Johnson, Mark Bavaro, Phil Simms, Joe Morris, Leonard Marshall. The good ol' days.
  20. Love it...down to the wire games are the best.
  21. Jesus. That's both bad ass and awful at the same time.
