My fear is that the "finding out what's broken" part may make us worse, not better. There's risk of that. I do understand that risks have to be taken but I don't like panic moves that are reactionary because the team isn't winning consistently. With new players, it can take time and we have some new players who I really like (Mik, Lazar, Kuz, Bear). I want our future to be carefully weighed out and a plan, not one that's abruptly forced. I'm overly patient at times.

Re: Bo leaving I'd hate it. He quietly goes about his business and is solid. Love him and it would break my heart but, at this point, maybe it is about getting "louder". Grumpier. He does so many things for us and it doesn't go unnoticed by me. If it is to shake up the room and we need a leadership change, it's sad that he'll be a casualty in that because we'll lose a whole lot of good stuff in him. I still feel (and hope) this is like JT's negotiations...that they'll find a way to get it done and this is just the cat and mouse stuff. We know something's gotta give but maybe it'll be worked out and he stays. I really hope so...he and JT are a force together and I'd hate to see that end. But maybe Bo doesn't want to stay and that's his prerogative...I'd wish him well. And we'd get one helluva return for him..but it had better be a defensively focused exchange if it's a trade that sends him off.

For me, it isn't JUST "cup or bust".....I had some of the best times of my life going to games back then (2010-2011 in particular). It was good hockey....and some of my favourite players who've remained as such gave me (us) some entertaining hockey, even if they fell short. I feel that the "brotherhood" that was established on that team really mattered. '94 also was amazing so I look back on that as also being a great ride. The "celebration" at BC Place made me forget we lost...felt more like we won. It was incredible. You're getting jaded my friend. For me, I still focus on the positive because I wouldn't do this thing if it got too negative (lies, I still would). Come back over to the good side, it's more pleasant here.

I don't give credit to Keenan for "the best team we ever had". Burke orchestrated much of that "best team".

So this team's damned if they do/don't then. Fans SCREAM for shots and not to pass it around waiting for the pretty play. On the perimeter, yes, but that's often how things first set up for those grade a chances. Greasy goals matter too and those come through blasting a shot and then hoping for rebounds. Tips are a thing now. As a wise man said "shotsshotsshotsshotsshots". Another one said "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take". (Some pretty good hockey guys) So I guess I just feel that by increasing the odds through volume (vs perfection) is reasonable. I feel like some here are never happy...when we outshoot the opposition...shots are good enough. -

Many goals are rebounds, tip ins so I don't care much about "the perfect shot"....I care about shots, period. I mean, one of their goals came off a perimeter shot in traffic and rebound where someone happened to be in the right spot. Grade A, for me, is determined by a goal. -

Their goaltending also factored in. We had 23 shots + 8 that just missed the target in the 2nd. Our guys also blocked 8 of their shots that period...they were battling hard to stay in it. Just didn't get it done. It really could have changed the face of the game if Gustavsson had let one or two of those in -

I heard Bieksa saying this on TV as he broke down the different roles. I don't buy the Reaves part - they'll take more penalties than anything as he ages out/slows down. Greenway's bigger than Reaves and he still got crushed on a hit (props to Stillman). The bigger they are, the harder they fall can also factor in so it's a matter of a team battling hard and ours is getting a little better at that. Reaves cockiness/arrogance often gets the better of him and they can also lean in that direction. I wouldn't single Bo out...this was a team loss. -

Schenn. 7 blocks, 6 hits I also liked Quinn's ability to move the puck...he's really special to watch. Ignore the giveaway that led to a 2-1 (Martin saved his butt). -

Came out flat (Martin making some great saves in the first) then took over for the most part until Minny took it back. Gustavsson was the difference and the Wild blocked a lot of our shots to help him as well. When they were bringing it, they had a chance. But the coming out flat (cautious?) was an issue again. Can't keep doing that...want to see the energy they showed in the second right from the get go. It is what it is...next. -

LOL, yeah, we've gotta trade some of those guys that have been here 52 years...they've gotta be pushing 75 now. They'll never get us there.
