I was at this show...when Locked In The Trunk was known as Dumping The Body to Gord.

OK, this is one of my favourites. The ending in particular.

One more from them (I loved them...good ol' Vancouver boys).

This one's tough...my brother is David. Went through an awful decade or so of being totally addicted and on a downward spiral. Gave up hunting, fishing, golfing, art, and friends. Was so lost. I've told the story before of going to "back up" my Dad (without him knowing). He was going to pay off my brother's debt to his dealer in a back alley in Steveston. Burned through half a million dollars looking after him (and me when my ex and I split and I had 2 young babies to care for...took a few months to get on my feet and a good job). Was a real struggle for awhile. I'm so proud of David...he's been clean and sober 15 years now. He's back. Hunting brant (whatever tf they are?) this weekend. Fishing non stop, hunting and golfing every spare minute. Helping run a company. All is as it should be. This song still makes me cry though. This one's for you, bro. Love you.

This is in my top 3 Hip songs. This one's on my workout playlist.

She wrote this song after she found out her guy messed around when he was in Dallas. I've had it stuck in my head for days. Annnnd, since we're playing Dallas..."give yourself a shake and turn around"

But the point is that our young stars have said they don't want a rebuild so they'd likely move on. UGH BUT I'M JUST CRANKY/IGNORE ME. Had to turn down tickets to tonight's game...was at work and my phone was dead/left my charger at home and so couldn't transfer them over. Wasn't sure I'd have time to come home, charge my phone and then make it. A little piece of my heart gets slammed off every time I have to miss a game I have an opportunity to go to. It's nearly debilitating. Especially seeing that it's a special birthday game. Oh well, I think I'll survive. TBD

Cheers to you our future captain

Birthday boy's gonna slay it. JT's 30 today but I wouldn't put him out to pasture too soon. Cheers to one helluva hockey player who we're lucky to have here. Let's go Canucks...I'm loving hockey these days and winning's much better than losing. Even if it costs us in the end, it's got it's benefits in the here and now with these players.

A little early, but I'll be working all day so.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JT! MY VERY FAVOURITE PLAYER (DUH) Over the hill, all washed up, ready for the retirement home, blahblahblah. Hell no, he's just getting started. I'm glad some of the naysayers are joining the party and seeing how important this guy is to our team. Glad we have him long term...he's just what this team needs. He signed on with loyalty and commitment here, let's hope they honour that (I think they will, he'd leave a big hole to fill). JT's transparent, full of integrity, driven and has a real passion for the game. A good family man and what you see is what you get. He puts it all out there and that's commendable. Some people don't like his "moodiness" but he's an open book and there's no guesswork involved. Captain material. I feel like he's brought a much needed dynamic to this team...we're changing that well documented softness and getting a little edgier. He's a true leader on this team and anyone who can't see that needs glasses. Anyhow, no secret who my very favourite player is these days. I've always been drawn to players who are all heart and care about this game (like I do). Who don't pull any punches (but can throw them if need be). Also helps when they're witty, funny, and well spoken....Trevor, Bure, Bieksa, Burr. Now there's another new jersey hanging in the closet...

The cap will likely go up. Just as "doesn't necessarily mean they'll be able to" could be the case...so could the opposite ring true. And "you thinking" they were closer is, once again, your deal. Doesn't make it their deal. Boeser and Myers could be possibilities too. The offers weren't adequate for JT...I'm glad they didn't settle for the sake of. Once you let a player like Miller go, it's hard to replace all that he brings. There's a reason teams would circle back...same reason our team isn't so eager to let him go. Some here are stuck on this but so far they've been proven wrong. The team isn't thinking like you are. -

"They don't want" statements aren't yours to make though. You don't want maybe, but that's different. -

Captaining last night: 5 hits (lol mostly on Chychrun from what I saw?) A goal and an assist (shg again, wat??) In the 3rd he won 9 of 12 faceoffs he took. 75% (overall 20 of 33 for 61%) -

Bieksa might have been good. I don't, for a second, take away what Hank was/did as captain. It would be foolish to do so. I just don't know that the best players have to be assigned the C. I think their role should be "be our best/stars". And that someone else can take on the other stuff.
