Wouldn't be surprised if he played. I understand why people might hate Boston but Chara's fine imo. He is and has been a great player.

@Coconuts Agreed, he has been a very clean player for his career, and other than the Pacioretti hit has never been dirty. I didn't even think that hit was dirty, it was just like Tryamkin, just so big that his finish of a player created a bad outcome. Since that hit he has also been very very clean. Even when he knows he can kill a guy he holds off, ie Kadri 2 years running from his cheap shots in the playoffs. Both times big Z was the first one there and could have ragdolled Kadri and didn't. Off the ice he is apparently a very nice person and a major philanthopist. I have alot of respect for the guy in the way he competes, leads and as  a human being. Hate to see anyone hurt but I also don't want Boston to win so this may help St Louis! Now Marchand on the other hand is a 'b-tch' who I wouldn't shed a tear for in any injury given how cheap he is!

I'm not a fan of Boston but I don't hate them anymore, and I always respected Chara. Considering his sheer size and strength if he'd wanted to wreck guys he easily could have, especially given that he played during a time where that sort of thing wasn't quite as hammered on like it is now. He killed a few guys in fights but that's what you get when you go with someone that big. He's a likable pro.

If he doesn't play it definitely helps the Blues and I'm hoping they manage to pull it off but it still sucks to see.
