  1. So.. Medusa.. did the curtains match the drapes?

  2. If Manny catches that first one he has 200 yards and Lulay has 450. Still a good one though... Chapdelaine needs a kick every now and then to simplify but the O works when he adjusts.
  3. Solid win against a surging Tiger Cats. Fun game to watch!
  4. not perfect from the D but they made em work and killed a lot of time.
  5. Old man Marsh! Lions DB corps have a ton of pride. No surprise to see them bounce back!
  6. Lions certainly looking to made amend after last week.. no guarantees in the CFL but loving their mentality so far!
  7. I agree with you - Canada has some unreal talent on D but mostly on the right side. Hamhuis has been our de-facto shutdown guy for the past few seasons - fast, smart and responsible. Everything the coaches are saying they're looking for. I think his offensive upside is actually understated as well - not much of a goal scorer but his point totals the past few seasons show he can make things happen despite not playing a lot of PP minutes. Edit: He also puts in his time at the World Cup for Canada - important as well. Hope he makes it!
  8. I caught the highlights off the website.. Ray Ferraro plugging the Canucks saying he likes Luongo and Hamhuis' chances to make the team. I think Lou is more likely but it would be awesome if Hamhuis made the cut.
  9. Olympus Has Fallen - 6/10 - Decent action but I couldn't get over how much they care about the president's life when global politics are involved.
  10. Cool to hear.. also the showing up first part. Sounds like he's a real rock in the dressing room kind of personality... exactly who we need going forward. Nichushkin would have been an awesome pick 4-5 years ago with a chance to slot in with our current core like the Sedins who are good role models... moving forward we need some solid kids who can be the next crop of leaders on the team and Bo sounds like one of them.
  11. That's a great point about Angus.. the Centre position is expected to make calls on the line of scrimmage and determine blocking schemes... and he's seen everything in the book.
  12. I still think Chapdelaine is the problem more than Lulay.. Travis is trying to make things happen when it's there and throwing the ball away when people are in his lap and noones open. Als D has a lot of speed to the sidelines so not a lot of room to scramble.. Chap needs to call plays to loosen up the D instead of letting his QB get hammered over and over.
  13. Wake-up call... Coach Bene lets the guys be a little more loose than Wally.. but now they're just getting sloppy.
  14. I had no idea they were allowed to kick it like that.. that's a one-in-a-career situation
  15. Entertaining, if painful game to watch... geeeeeez.
  16. Chapdelaine finally throws a swing to take advantage of Als picking "FG Block" every play...
  17. at least we're not the Blue Jays

Thanks for turning me on to that new segment. I don't get to watch a lot of late night talk shows.

Jimmy Kimmel's lie detective is good too.

I lost it at the Golf part.

  18. ...or we can pin all of our hopes and expectations on one guy and then throw ourselves to the ground and have a hissy fit every time he doesn't live up to the unrealistic expectations, as we have with our goalies for the past 40+ years. It's been working well for us so far.
  19. ...lifetime playoff GAA of 2.54 isn't insurmountable and is pretty much bang-on with his regular season GAA. He had two stinkers in the postseason - 2010 and 2012. You can whine and moan all you want that it's "unacceptable" but the bottom line is it's a team sport and while he's had some bad games / series on average it's no worse than the team in front of him.
  20. There comes a time in every man's academic career where he must say screw it, write whatever comes to mind, hand it in and be done with it.

...3:30, a little later than usual but it's done!

  21. I liked the books but I got kind of annoyed when Martin dumped an extra 4 or 5 POV characters that I didn't give a crap about towards the end. I think he said he's not introducing any more POV characters though so that's good at least.
