  1. Sure. Claim whoever. But the issues on this team in nights like the last 2 are a lot deeper than personnel.
  2. I wonder if the team’s stats are as bad at home as they seem to be. And it’s been like that for years (or at least seems to be.)
  3. I’m optimistic about this one. Demko looking sharp while the team looks dull is actually a tried and tested recipe for success with this group.
  4. Taj and his merry band of losers turning this into an Aqualini vendetta is abysmal. Why put him in the ROH then? Nobody does half way petty except maybe those bedwetters.
  5. Luongo was up for the Hart 4 times with us, finishing: 2nd, 10th, 12th, 17th. That’s actually better than I expected (and the 2nd is from that unreal first season with us.) Of course, Naslund was up for the Hart 4 times as well, finishing 2nd, 5th, 5th and 11th. Again, he had a stretch where he put us on the map. With better goaltending (ironically) that era might be thought of differently.
  6. He’s in the HHOF due to longevity and overall “very good” play that had the odd season at “elite” but 11 of those seasons were with another team. I’m seeing 3rd best save percentage behind Thomas and Rinne in 2011. I think he’s easily our best Goaltender but in all honestly that’s not saying much. Naslund had 3 straight 1st team allstar and 40 goal seasons that revitalized the franchise. He came 2nd in the league in points in back to back seasons during that time. He had 35 goals before the lockout season that took a prime year out of his stat total. Why does Luongo get “almost beat one of the all time greats” as a plus but Naslund losing to Forsberg and close to Brodeur count against him? Naslund (and his line that was centred by a 2C level player) was considered one of the best in the league for quite a long stretch. My memory of Luongo was that he was often in the conversation of “top 5” or so but no slam dunk. He was very good. For a long time. But I don’t think he had the better career in Vancouver than Naslund.
  7. FOH. I don’t think Naslund should be up there, but he’s easily ahead of Luongo. Naslund was voted best player in the league by his peers one year and was right up there for a multi year stretch. Roberto “two time second team all star” Luongo was a very good goalie for a long time but didn’t hit Naslund’s highs.
  8. Jersey retirement is ludicrous. He’s in the HOF as a Panther. They retired his number. ROH is great but hard no to jersey retirement.
  9. If the Canucks could get in the record books for stinkiest equipment they’d stop showering yesterday
  10. Going to Jakub Pour myself another after that showing tonight.
  11. BOOOOOOOO Trade Horvat! Trade Boeser! Trade the Bandwagon for a tank! TRRRRRRAAAAAADDDDDDDDUUUUHHHHHH (just seeing what it feels like)
  12. If I were PK against the Canucks I’d let Quinn “the muffin man” Hughes spin in circles at the point all day. Which… actually seems like the Caps are doing. (I love Hughes anyways)
  13. Now that we’ve let Ovechkin get into the record books, which we love to be in at all costs, time to win this game.
  14. Yeah I’d almost put money on them coming back. It’s unlikely - and Kuemper looks good - but I wouldn’t be surprised if they look like a completely different team in the 2nd.
  15. By age, something like that. But our young guys all have 3+ seasons under their belts. They know what the league is about.
