  1. I've been watching a lot more CFL this year. The bad calls have been happening every single game. I now expect to see blown/bad calls every game. Being a season ticket holder is a lot of work, it takes a lot of effort to get into Vancouver for the games from Surrey, especially after a long day at work. Then there is getting home. Parking is a complete disaster downtown with all the construction and the cost. Usually $30 bucks. So taking the train is really the only option. I really hate the train. If I'm going to watch blown calls, flat out bad calls, and/or calls that seem to control the game and outcome I may as well do it from my couch or at a local pub.
  2. Listening to TSN trying to justify this garbage makes me want to puke.
  3. That's really it. Pretty sure this will be my final season as a season ticket holder. CFL can blame the fans all they want. It's the officiating that is killing the league.
  4. Lulay playing like the Lulay of old.
  5. I agree, but even if Lulay keeps having success I doubt he will want to leave. Sure he will keep playing as long as he plays well but, it's only a matter of time before he sputters and Jennings takes back his starting job.
  6. These roughing the passer calls are becoming a joke.
  7. As far as I see it, Lulay's days are numbered. He's 33 and he may light up Winnipeg. I've talked to him personally recently. He gave me the impression he wants to stay on the west coast and play out his days as a Lion and a mentor. Things could always change though. He just seems very content with his current role.
  8. I don't think that's it with Lulay. He's content being a mentor to Jennings. I see coaching in his near future.
  9. Funny. Just watching on the PVR and that play just came up. Hell of a catch. Lulay playing really well.
  10. Really having a hard time watching this garbage. Crap call for the helmet toss. Suspect roughing the passer call. Toronto player fell into him, not sure what he was supposed to do. Now a garbage PI call that was really no different than the call that Toronto had that was ruled a non call. Well at least the command center got it right.
  11. Joke of a call keeps Montreal in the game. Takes back a great Lions return for a TD. CFL wonders why they are losing fans, that is why.
  12. I doubt they do. Women's division is doing fine without her. She would just be a distraction at this point.
  13. So TNA is officially dead. Impact Wrestling to Officially Re-Brand as GFW http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/tna/Impact_Wrestling_to_Officially_Re-Brand_as_GFW.html
  14. Just had my account rep get back to me about the fireworks after the Lions score a touchdown. It was apparently a BC Place decision to protect the turf. Not buying it. It what is I guess.
  15. It looked like the Eskimo players kinda gave up on the play when the flags came out.
  16. Apparently Nakamura couldn't make the event. Travel issues getting over the border or something.
  17. Long is our back up. Waters wasn't ready to go and they placed him on the 1 game injured list. Should be ready to go next game. Long definitely lost us this one. Though the Lions didn't really play well most of the game. Interesting note, it looks like the fireworks after a touchdown are no more.
  18. You totally missed the point. You commented that BC NOW stands for bring cash, which is wrong. It's been that way for 30+ years. Everything in BC has always been more expensive and that isn't going to change. If people want affordable housing they need to move away from the most desirable cities. People used to move to where they could afford. Now some have this entitled thought that they deserve to afford a house in the most expensive cities.
  19. People hate change. I don't have an issue with how the system works, though I don't rely on transit on a daily basis. Compass is far better than the system we used to have.
  20. Now? I've been hearing it for the past 30+ years.
  21. Good on the Lions but they should really do this all season long. KIDS ARE JUST $5 ALL SUMMER! Due to the tremendous feedback around the home opener kids ticket offer last season, and in a continued effort to deliver an exciting football experience that is affordable for families, the BC Lions are thrilled to be able to offer a $5 KIDS TICKET* for children 12 & under for all 5 summer home games in select seating categories. * Children attending the game as part of the $5 ticket offer must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cannot be used by persons over the age of 12 and will be verified upon entry.
