burns showed a lot there

Let's not. I should not have mentioned it. I still want the hype train derailed. He's a monster but his persona could use a check. Still, he is that good. Tough kid.

It's going to be a great card to night. Great fights with story lines like a wwe event. I like Chimaev as a person, his work ethic and confidence etc...but I don't like that he and Kadyrov are tight. I would love to see Burns slow the hype train....but I don't know if that will happen. If he gets past Burns, he should see Colby next. Not Usman.

Ok, so you meant that part. If we can trade his water-bug style for a Grondar, I'm in. -

So tired of catch phrases. Is being woke really that bad? Anyway. Vancouver is wonderful, and awful. Depends on where you live, your circle of friends, what your job is, what your hobbies are...you know, life. My 20+ years living in the DT core was F'in great. -

I suggested we could try move Garland. I just see some hustle from him most times, maybe that is what you don't agree with? Brock however can be invisible and one dimensional, even though he has a higher skill set and ceiling than Garland. It would depend on what we could get for either, obviously. -

Agreed. I see him as a spot filler for now. -

Not to me but his veteran composure seems to work pretty good when buzzing around with Petey. -

We should do everything we can to retain Bo and JT. This season has brought out the best in them and the team seems to be really gelling. EP is showing he is everything we thought he could be. We could be one of the deepest teams at centre going forward. I'm sure BB mentioned it when he got here. When we win most of the face offs we can have that cherished puck possession. We have pulled off great performances without some top dudes in the last few games too...Brock, Hughes...Demko. Our squad is better than some think. We could try to move Brock or Garland...however , Garland adds that extra spice even when he is in a goal slump. -

Canada to start offering doctor-assisted death to the mentally ill
bishopshodan replied to Coda's topic in Off-Topic General
I have a bi-polar big bro. When he spirals it is pure hell. He has tried to kill himself twice. Both times he was very close. First was pills, the hospital said he probably wouldn't have lasted more than 10 more mins if we didn't get him in. The 2nd time his wrists were cut soo deep that he had to have a lot of tendons repaired, was found on his bathroom floor. Again the hospital couldn't believe he didn't bleed out as he was there for hours. When he is down, I would not want anyone suggesting it as an option. He literally goes crazy in the bad times, paranoid, delusional and destructive. He has a big loving extended family and two sons. He turns 54 next week. Sometimes I can't believe he is still with us but I am so thankful. I love him so much. -

This might be exactly what one of my friends did. Build a studio, leave room for some of the appliances hook them up after inspection (studios can't have them)...and I don't think you can have a proper closet, so leave a 'nook' to add doors in the future. That's what I can remember from what he may have told me. His in-laws may live in that studio now. -

I really agree with this part of this article. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/freeland-federal-budget-housing-1.6410544 A problem of short supply and heavy demand The Liberals pitched a plan to offset monthly mortgage costs by reducing the insurance premiums charged by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) on some loans. They also said they would make the First-Time Home Buyers' Incentive — a shared-equity mortgage program which sees the government provide some funds for a down payment in return for a stake in the home — more flexible. But Kevin Lee, the CEO of the Canadian Home Builders' Association, said the government can't be focused on these sorts of incentives alone. He said home prices are high in Canada because there are not enough of them. "It's good old economics. It's also about supply and demand. When you don't have enough of something, prices go up and that's what we're seeing," he told CBC News. Housing advocates call for the construction of 50,000 new social housing units in Quebec at a protest in Montreal on April 2. (Rowan Kennedy/CBC) Lee said Canada has far fewer housing units per person than other developed countries. In fact, recent estimates suggest Canada is about 1.8 million homes short of the G7 average. Over the past 20 years, Canada has built around 200,000 new housing units per year. At the current rate, it would take years of steady construction just to bring Canada's housing stock up to the levels seen in other Western countries. The housing accelerator fund Lee said Canada needs to supercharge construction and consistently repeat the record-breaking year home builders enjoyed in 2021, when they churned out more than 270,000 new units — a construction pace not seen in five decades. Lee said the housing crunch "is really the number one issue that we have right now as a country." He suggested a possible fix in the "housing accelerator fund" the Liberal Party pitched in the last election campaign. The party's platform said the government would earmark some $4 billion for municipalities that "grow housing supply faster than their historical average" — part of a plan to build 100,000 new middle-class homes in Canada's cities by 2024-25. That money could be used as an incentive to encourage municipalities to make home construction easier.
