  1. Never use credit cards. Cash as often as possible. Give yourself an allowance. Careful of monthly subscriptions. Have as few as possible. No expensive vacations. We live in BC, best place anyway. Dont upgrade tech until you need. I had a blackberry until last year ( 11 years) Become vegetarian. Way cheaper. I cut my own hair...and my wifes. Don't eat at restaurants too often. Make your own coffee to go. Drive as little as possible and own an efficient vehicle.
  2. I have no answer. I dont know what JR is thinking. Lot's of guessing here.
  3. Sure it has. I think we are sitting on the best core since 2011. Hope we dont do anything to F with our room.
  4. Thats a very good angle. You could be right. Has he expressed anything that leads you to believe this?
  5. So Miller will ? Your team would never have 30= yr olds then, despite them showing no signs of slowing down. When did I say it was argued otherwise? I was adding fodder to my reasoning for retaining a top 6 centre, were going to have to pay market value for a couple of them at some point. Very important positions. You said 'most' when referring to 4 in the top ten..... so thet would mean you though 3 of them were 'generational' And you don't have to explain emojis. Just thought you were nicer than putting a laughing and stunned emoji to my honest opinions.
  6. another intangible that I dont like is...what does it say to a team when you trade a leader just because he is worth a lot on the market? Personally I would like to be a part of an org that rewards good production with an option of some stability.
  7. Fair enough. As I said to aGent ... we then disagree on the timeline. I want to see BB raise a cup with us too, cant see him or JR being here in 5 years
  8. -i think Van is one of the best cities on the planet. But I dont personally know Miller. -I have no clue, but he's a massive part of a team with huge potential in the next few years.
  9. I'm not attached to Miller other than centres with his skill set and production are hard to find. I also think our time could be sooner than some in this discussion think.
  10. Why is Miller declining in his 30's? What has he shown that suggests that? He's a ppg centre with a lot of other intangibles. I would only call one of the 4 in the top 10 'generational' ...maybe Stamkos, maybe. And why can't we rebuild around QH, and EP? Would seem like a good two to retain and be leaders at that age. 5 years from now, regardless we will have a new head coach, and Prez...our current dudes are old AF. i'll give you one of these too..... for no real reason other than that I don't know why my opinions need cute emojis.
  11. Well that's where we differ. 5 years from now is a completely different story and we would have to be in rebuild phase again at that time. Currently 4 of the top 10 points leaders are in their 30's. First place goes to a 36 year old.
  12. yep. He doesn't show signs of slowing down. If we're not in the convo for the cup in 2-3 years which is when I think this core will be peaking, then i might have a different opinion on trading JT.
  13. Yeah. he's a ppg centre over 39 games this year. Who can we get to replace a centre like that for less than what he will be asking? He's not too old and brings more to the team than just the points. He's a good leader too.
  14. Just glancing at the league points leaders. Whats a ppg top 6 centre worth in today's market in your opinion?
  15. Stupid Hong Kong. Blaming it on the Hamsters. https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/hong-kong-warns-of-worsening-covid-19-situation-due-to-outbreak-in-pet-hamsters-1.5750774
  16. Centres over wingers any day of the week. Miller > Garland or Brock.
