[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
bishopshodan replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I get your point and I acknowledge that 3 of these pieces are picks. However this was technically an 8 person deal. -
I'm not sure if that's the right term as I thought Pareidolia was more about seeing something out of random patterns/objects, usually faces. In this case it was bending light from a Mnt Range near Chilliwack due to a weather inversion... actually could be something for the Flat Earthers. From the article.. What Engels was seeing was the peaks of the Cheam Range near Chilliwack, more than 180 kilometres away. Normally, these mountains would be on the other side of the horizon, hidden by the Earth's curvature and invisible to someone in Nanoose Bay. "We can see it because of the bending of the light in the atmosphere," Goldblatt said. In this case, Sunday's dry conditions allowed for a particularly crisp and clear mirage.

I've been up and down with Mas. I didn't like that he got into political crap for a bit but this article has made me like him once more. Really liked what he said about influencing young people with the garbage trash talk. Hope he can pull off the tough task against the MAGA /WWE persona opponent. Jorge Masvidal can’t wait to say ‘I told you, b*tch’ after Chael Sonnen’s ‘career-ending fight’ quip https://www.mmafighting.com/2022/1/19/22892118/jorge-masvidal-cant-wait-to-say-i-told-you-b-tch-after-chael-sonnens-career-ending-fight-quipgh

The resisters are the attention seekers. They are the dumb. However, they have found this damn internet...accessible by their phone. Used well, it is like having a genius in your pocket. Used poorly, it gives you confirmation bias for whatever random belief. So, now they have a broadcast voice to the masses via social media, they have a reason other than their ineptitude for why their life sucks, they have a groups of 'friends' that 'like' and 'follow' them.

Do We Lack Toughness? Who would you give up for?

Alright, I'll do it. I cant skate very well and I never back check though. -
I'm a vegetarian. It's because of my love for animals. I can't eat something as smart and aware as my dog, like a pig. My dog is, well, this man's best friend. I think being vegetarian is a healthier lifestyle but I don't care to debate that as there are so many angles to a good diet. My decision was easier than some that try to stop eating meat because I've never really cared about food in general. I just fill the hole. I blame my British palate.. Anyway, my co-worker and nephew-in-law is a meat fanatic. He tries his best to eat properly raised beef etc. He has bought a few full cows in the last few years. He talks about how much healthier/better the meat is. One of our local farms slaughter them in the best way imo. They let the animal out into the pasture for a bit then sneak up and shoot them. The beast has no idea it's coming. That way there is no adrenaline etc... coursing through the blood. It's just lights out. It's far more tender beef and it was raised with out garbage food and supplements as you mentioned.

[Discussion] JT Miller to Rangers

I've always thought that about gyms. Ours was very good and most people just left them on but I went early before the majority of people got there. My moaning about gyms was more about the restrictions not making sense in relation to other venues and activities. Not unlike the way Warhippy sees it.
-
I know, I talk about gyms too much but I have question. Why dont they insist on masks 100% of the time in the gyms? I remember during the last year we were told at the gym, oh you dont have to wear them when working out now, just when you are moving between stations... My buddy and I looked at each other and had the same statement. We are breathing heaviest when, you know, actually doing the exercise. I mentioned yesterday, I run with a damn mask on. It's not that hard. So what if, for a while it reduces some performance, or you think it does. Ultimately we get to be back in the gym and there is still that small thing called a global pandemic.

Nanoose! My hood. What a wild natural projection. Shows we cant believe everything we can see.

I didn't like the term pissy. It felt a little like 'why are you such a Karen?' . It was insulting, like name calling. It would get me heated too. Someone I dont like calls me pissy to my face and I would consider breaking their nose. Some athletes arent great in pressers and I dont think they have to be. I know they have obligations but I watch them to see the on ice product. I would have liked LD to answer differently though in that circumstance....like ' Why are you pissy to me?' ...." Oh, I dont like you or your questions...now, do you have a question about hockey?"

Yep. I had symptoms for about 2 weeks. Some of wording can be to blame too, from that article regarding the 5 days... 'That was based on data the CDC said suggested Omicron was most infectious for about two days before symptoms started and for three days after.' It does say 'most' infectious so that suggests you can still be infectious after. However, I think some could interpret it as ...three days after symptoms start I wont be infectious anymore...

5 days is not long enough... Omicron COVID-19 variant is infectious for up to 10 days, Tam says https://globalnews.ca/news/8522193/covid-omicron-infectious-period-tam/
