Nah. They were negative. I mean I didnt hate them but I'm not a fan of drive by bagging. Some people just drop the neg rep but dont offer any insight in the discussion. On the other hand, I like the Sedin and Burr emojis....one for when people post intelligent thoughts, the other for when people post tough stories.

Welp, looks like we've got it all figured out and are in agreement. Knew we could do it.

Yeah, that seems it's worded weird. If they say in hospital 'due' to covid... then that's why I expect that they are there. Could it be that number, 454 represents that 1/3 rd?

Haha, But you were off by 50 - ish million. You typed 55 ish mil.. Should be 5.5 ish mil Edit : though i see I originally put a comma instead of a decimal when trying to correct ...
-
You missed a decimal point. 5.51 Mil deaths.

This interested me as I should get a booster. However, since being sick I should wait a bit. If you got Omicron post-vaccination, medical experts advise not to rush out for a booster shot https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/omicron-covid-vaccinated-booster-1.6312471 Don't get a shot while sick, wait at least a month after recovering, immunologists say

The BC Real Estate Discussion Thread
bishopshodan replied to Harvey Spector's topic in Off-Topic General
Maybe invent something? Win a lottery? Design and sell NFT's? whatever they are... Give up your daily Latte, never mind that won't be enough. I know, move.... many great places in BC. The whole province will keep increasing in price as BC is soo desirable, you will be making a good investment wherever you go. Just don't over extend. Most important. Never, ever give up your Avocado toast. -
My wife came home yesterday with a story about a co-worker. Poor lady came back from lunch shocked, she had just found out she lost a friend to covid. The friend was in her 30s.

It does But also we should stop looking at it as an Us vs Them. People in this discussion have varied opinions like a sliding scale. I feel there is a pull to be like politics and pick your team. Hopefully many refuse to do that keep discussing the issues as they come up. Let's hope omicron is endemic phase and we will see the end of the pressure on the hospitals. Then we should continue to talk....we need to be better prepared here in Canada for if/when the next pandemic comes.

I think it is important to remember that some of the posters on here have lost people to covid. They have lost people due to increased wait times for surgeries. They have vulnerable relatives and friends that do live in fear of contracting a known killer in a time of a global pandemic. Global. Pandemic. Its been years of reading bizarre conspiracy theories that laugh in the face of this. It must be getting so tiring for some. It's important to try to be kind and keep communicating.

I'm against mandatory vax. I dont know about a triage system or tax either. Name calling will likely make it so people wont read what you type. We live in a society, Worrying about everyones life is kinda the gig. So let them die? Do you take any medicine? Play God...come on, many wouldn't make it to adult hood without penicillin. Well, as many have pointed out...cigs, alc, sugary drinks are taxed. Calorie content are displayed on most menus. Cigarettes even have disgusting labels and cant be displayed in a store. These steps are designed to improve peoples living habits. I am a proud Canadian. You are 'free' not to be. The planet has many great countries. Just non as good as this one.

Wow. That looks sick. -
No kidding. I thought I would have way better bandwidth. Probably why I wasn't able to log on and see the great JFK resurrected.

Thought she was just ...what passes for dancing these days. She had to go twerk. Not as bad but still gross. -
I didn't bother with a test, symptoms were bang on. 8 of us got it in the fam after an xmas gathering. I didn't get hit too hard but I seem to have the most lingering issues. My wife was fine after 3 days, similar with my 76yr old mum ( I credit the booster) Its taken me about 2 weeks to get close to symptom free. If you dont show symptoms, I think 5 days is what is recommended.

Thought it was a good game. Hockey is like that. Tough to win every single one. It's why we have 7 game playoff series, so we can ensure the better team moves on. Demko had hard night. At one point it was 4 goals on 13 shots. Demko still had a good game but I think the lay off caught up to him a couple times. Cant give an inch to such a great home team as the Panthers. Still really excited for BB era and was content with the effort the lads put out there last night. -
Thats kinda what I thought. Seems like its' still spreading like wildfire. I'm still mildly symptomatic so I picked a good time to get the virus i suppose. It stopped me from moaning about not going to the gym. Couldnt have gone anyway.

I have never thought we have achieved freedom. There are so many things I cant do under the rules, laws and social contract. Its better in the West, but we all play the same game with an agreed rule set. We vote and elect folks to govern us and enforce these guidelines. Majority rules and dictates the evolution of this.
