Vaccinated people 60-70 per cent less likely to need medical care for Omicron as hospitalizations rise: Henry https://www.cheknews.ca/b-c-healthcare-officials-to-provide-live-covid-19-update-tuesday-936357/

Breaking the rules is perfect for a protest thread! I hear ya, I'll try to keep my covid comments over in the other lovely area. As for the protests, i can see them dying down to the point of those Old Growth logging, few people sit down on the highway to disrupt traffic types. Or Extinct Rebellion, or whatever the hell they are called.

I'm on a roll now, You know real vanilla comes from a Beaver's ass? Don't worry, most flavouring in your food and drinks is synthetic.

Thats all i was pointing out. More vaxxed people, less strain.

Nah it does have real roots. China, India, Egypt, Greece etc..it's called Urine Therapy. It's a thing. It grosses me out beyond belief and I dont have a clue how it would be good at combating a virus like this. Rather, stick to you vitamins and consider....I dunno... a vaccine designed for the job? Edit: Also, recently the cosmetic industry is all into it. 'Urea'.... look for it in your skin creams

Oh yeah. Humans are doomed. I've stated my belief in that quite a few times on here. Just this morn I was talking about what you mention to my wife. What about the next pandemic? What have we put in place to be able to handle it better? How will we overcome the information corruption and the political divides that undermine our experts?

Haha I know. Although I do find it hilarious and perhaps shows the lengths people will go to avoid modern science. I did want to point out that a few top level athletes etc practice this and it's not new. In fact its really old from a few cultures. If this is the alternative to getting the jab, i really don't know what to think anymore

Drinking urine is not a new thing. A few athletes do it. It really is an old school thing from a few cultures. Google it.....then clear your browser history.

So I am right? covid is causing delays on cancer surgeries. Yet another guy on tv this morn. This one talking about cancer in his lungs, a big lump. I get you are saying that the health care system was always strained. What I am saying is the unvaxxed are adding to the delays.....worse than ' like it always has'
-
I thought I had heard of more major surgeries getting delayed. There was a dude on the news that was crying about his throat cancer scheduling, it was heart breaking. If it's just shoulders, then I agree.

Cant blame him Horacio Arruda resigns as Quebec's public health director Arruda had been public health director for 12 years. https://montrealgazette.com/news/quebec/horacio-arruda-resigns-as-quebecs-public-health-director Citing a “certain erosion” of public confidence in government measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Horacio Arruda on Monday offered his resignation as Quebec’s director of public health.

I understand and appreciate your empathy. We really are all in this together. At the same time, and also because of that, I also understand the concerns about the delays that the virus causes to health care. If surgeries are being held up because unvaxxed are taking up space and resources, that they wouldnt if they had got the jab, ...I get the anger. I dont know what is right if I am to be totally honest. I know we can always be kind to each other though.

One of my favourite martial artists does this. Lyoto the dragon Machida. Everyday, nothing to do with covid, he always has... true story. It's some old school thingy. Yuck. Don't respond. I don't want to talk about it either.

I gotcha bro.

Wow. In first, U.S. surgeons transplant pig heart into human patient https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/in-first-u-s-surgeons-transplant-pig-heart-into-human-patient-1.5734509 In a medical first, doctors transplanted a pig heart into a patient in a last-ditch effort to save his life and a Maryland hospital said Monday that he's doing well three days after the highly experimental surgery. While it's too soon to know if the operation really will work, it marks a step in the decades-long quest to one day use animal organs for life-saving transplants. Doctors at the University of Maryland Medical Center say the transplant showed that a heart from a genetically modified animal can function in the human body without immediate rejection.

My two close antivaxxers...bro and nephew-in-law are proud AF to be unvaxxed. Nephew admitted at one point, that for him, it is more about being told to do something than getting the jab. They seem to think they are on some team that is pushing back against the man, they come out with all sorts of conspiracies. My bro's favourite is something about social credit scores coming from the vax pass? something like that...it hurts my brain. I wonder, does anyone know someone close that has changed their tune lately? gone and got the vax after doing some soul searching? Just seems like everyone has dug their heels in.

They keep transforming like this and they're gonna have a big enough team to battle the Decepticons soon.

That makes sense. Good call. Yeah. He's saying ' look what I discovered'. They are saying ' ya, probably not' Heff is right. I'll wait till I hear of another finding.

So Deltacron is a thing? I cant keep up https://nationalpost.com/news/world/deltacron-is-a-new-covid-19-strain-and-not-a-lab-error-cypriot-scientist-says

yeah, Its gotten weird lately. it's like some are forgetting that the vast majority are in favour of the vax. The debates that I can understand now are around restrictions, passports....even approaches to future vax protection or types of treatment, that I get. But IF the vax is better for you than not getting it at all vs getting covid? seems most are well past that.
