  1. I just want to send a shout out to anyone that works in veterinary field. We took Tess to emerg today as we think she may have ate something at the park and has been displaying signs of toxicity. While we were waiting in the parking lot for a couple hours (covid precautions) we witnessed a lady drive in the parking lot at million miles an hour, tears flowing, they rushed out and grabbed her dog in distress. 45mins later they rolled the Highland Terrier out on a gurney on oxygen to go see his mom waiting at her car for the last time. They rolled him back in with out the oxygen, no need anymore. What a tough and noble job these people do. Tess is sleeping, her vitals were good, she looks to be doing better. Blood work tomorrow if she is still off. Hug your pets people.
  2. That sucks for Jack. Hope he is ok. Don't know what I think about him becoming a white supremacist though.
  3. I'm gonna allow it, barely. 'not much... going'. Cause the real answer to 'How's it going?' is a qualifying question...'How's what going?' Then you have to figure out what 'it' is. From my deep research I have found out that the answer to...'What is it'?' is 'It's It' I learned that from Faith No More when I was a kid. And, btw... I know that 'you want it all but you can't have it'
  4. There is no need for a Kanye thread...soo.. US election 2020: Kanye West launches unconventional bid for presidency https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53467658 At one point he began crying when talking about abortion, saying that his parents almost aborted him: "There would have been no Kanye West, because my dad was too busy." He added: "I almost killed my daughter... even if my wife [Kim Kardashian West] were to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world, even when I didn't want to." However he then added that he believes abortion should remain legal, but there should be financial support for struggling new mothers - suggesting that "everybody that has a baby gets a million dollars". ........................ He becomes POTUS and I am heading south to have a baby!
  5. I hope Roussel plays like the Rooster that he can be when they return. He was not himself for a stretch there.
  6. As the election gets closer we will likely see more of this type stuff. Thought they would have some new material though.
  7. This the guy that was betting on NHL games while he was playing in the league? Wait, I think I remember this guy....
  8. Cool. I just watched 'They Live' the other night.
  9. He's not. However, hockey development wise for him I am thinking of Burt. Todd didn't get going until his 6th year in the league. My point was I hope that we don't run him out of town, resulting in a benefit to our competitors.
  10. The way your country is going, you might have a lot of them. I'll go start drawing the social distance camping circles in Lord Stanley's park.
  11. I know we all want the best for the team. I also do enjoy being a fly on the wall and hearing stuff we never used to. Having games without fans is going to be hilarious for the stuff we are likely to hear. As I mentioned though, I wish they retained their between the boards comradery and exchanges without them having to worry who might be reporting on it and more importantly reading in to it. I know Jake has had his hiccups but in the history of the sport there has been many great players that would have been crucified now a days for their skeletons that should have remained in closets. We're all human, lets hope the best for Jake and that the team gets him on track.
  12. I still like Jake. He's young. Hope we don't run him out of town. Kinda wish the interactions between the players remained between the boards and we didn't get to hear them.
  13. It should be a legal choice so that we can profit and support those that need help. With that nice side product of reducing organised crime. Not unlike that very deadly drug alcohol. Did you know BC has a 10%liquor tax on that nasty stuff? therefore lots of profit for the gov instead of criminals.
  14. Yes. I have heard that too. I have always thought the earth was lopsided. I have also read that the core is too. We're on a wibbly wobbly rock.
  15. My brother is having a party tomorrow night. I'm not happy about it, at all. Will not be attending. He said they will be social distancing, it will be an outside party. BS, people will need the washroom etc..
  16. Just my vibe but I feel like Bonnie is concerning herself with the economy more than previously. She referenced local tourism a couple times today and suggested some tracking ideas for people having parties. As we talk about the Kelowna situation... maybe pump the brakes on parties all together? We had our foot on the throat of covid here in BC, we should not let up.
  17. I don't think the roll out of legalisation of weed has been executed very well. All sides of it's health benefits could be better utilised. I had a friend that helped open 5 shops. He battled bi-polar a lot and when he got out of UBC hospital he was driven to do something to help others. He set up a 'shake' program to give to addicts of harder drugs. Using marijuana as a reverse gateway drug if you will to get them straight. He said it was a success then ran into licensing issues with the shops and they had to close. But I don't have any stats, do you? I was the director of a group that has the biggest liquor store in the DTES for 10 years ( until last year). I stood face to face with the addicts. I saw first had how bad it is getting down there. Without drastic change the problem will only keep growing. You cannot stop the drugs getting into or circulating the province. Some of the drugs out there are so powerful and deadly with only a tiny dose. Legalise them all. Use the profits to educate and support. Reduce the power of organised crime.
  18. When I die I want some of my ashes or DNA to be placed in a small everlasting container. I would like that container sent into outer space... out into the great unknown. Just to see if an alien race finds me, Jurassic Parks me, and to see if that reincarnation remembers me. Wait, is this the 'post when you're stoned' thread?
  19. People are not going to stop using. The ports have less than 1% of their containers checked, millions of containers per year, they wont be able to stop the illegal and dangerous supply. Legalise them all, control the supply, use profits to help and educate those addicted. I think good old Dr Bonnie and some police chiefs are asking for this too.
  20. Nothing wrong at all with being single. I don't mind how anyone lives. Any relationship, any style of life, all that. As long as they are not hurting anyone else. Some of the things I quickly read about the MGTOW beliefs though seem a bit INCEL-ish.. claiming feminism has destroyed society etc.. I would have never hung out with a girl that was cookie cutter, high maintenance, stereo typical but they are not the only ones out there. I also have never had a desire to breed, so it I feel lucky to find my partner. That said, if she was to leave me, I don't see myself marrying again. I don't get bored much and love being by myself. It's just that she still enriches my life in ways I never expected. It makes me hope I do the same for her life.
  21. Whoa. Didn't have a clue what you were talking about... ...googled. I believe you haven't hung out with the right women. Lots of fish in the sea as they say.
