  1. Incels are being added to the RCMP terrorism guide... https://globalnews.ca/news/7021882/rcmp-incel-terrorism-guide/
  2. Thanks, I can't watch 30mins of videos. But I wasn't really asking any questions. Here I'll use someone else's word too, to describe them. antifa (pronounced ahn-TEE-fah or anty-fah) is nothing like those terrorist groups. It is not a unified organization, but rather a loose ideological label for a subset of left-wing radicals who believe in using street-level force to prevent the rise of what they see as fascist movements. It is a kind of anarchist alternative to the police that originally took root in America’s punk scene, without any kind of national command and control structure. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2020/6/8/21277320/antifa-anti-fascist-explained They are not an organisation as such. I fear a day when anti-fascists, which should be a good term, or SJW's are blanket labelled terrorists. Speaking of real terrorist groups, I haven't much of those radical Islamics that were taking over the world during the last election cycle for a while. I wonder if that will become a talking point again, or maybe DT will just start a war with Iran... that should get those that love to consume the product of fear all lathered up
  3. I didn't think ANTIFA was an organisation. Is every angry SJW gonna be called a terrorist going forward?
  4. He will have to focus on this rule of his before he gets back out there. Set your house in perfect order before you criticize the world ..and this one of course... Treat yourself like someone you are responsible for helping
  5. Was he over prescribed? Did he follow the directions on dosage?
  6. I should remember this when I make comments about people that are overweight or the people I used to care for but also refer to as crackheads in the DTES. Heck there is even those famous meme's from the SNL skits about crackheads. 'Fat' people and 'addicts' have been fodder for comedians forever. I agree with Toews about personal responsibility, I mentioned Jocko earlier in this thread. That doesn't mean I can't have empathy for peoples struggles.
  7. I've really enjoyed your input to this thread. Thank you. I'm interested in how people treat each other and with JP being a champion of free speech, its cool this thread has turned into some really good core convos regarding that.
  8. I think this topic turning to an emoji storm discussion is interesting. Maybe fitting. Freedom of speech, just watch what you say. My wife told me about Beyonce's Beyhive, they swarm opinions with emojis in defence of the singer. I'm not saying that is what exactly happened here, but it reminded me of it.
  9. I have grown a mullet and mustache. I recently got glasses. Yep. I look like a Nascar driver. I don't like Nascar.
  10. I would like to see the confused emoji' replaced with a little witch emoji. Does Jimmy weigh the same as a duck? Burn Her!, um... Him!.... They! ...that Person!
  11. Wait, Just googled that too. She's into all meat diets? Yuck. Red meat eaters smell.
  12. Thanks for that article. One of the opening paragraphs.. Jordan Peterson is also a right-wing internet celebrity who has claimed that feminists have “an unconscious wish for brutal male domination,” referred to developing nations as “pits of catastrophe” in a speech to a Dutch far-right group, and recently told a Times reporter that he supported “enforced monogamy.” No wonder people often give themselves the out "I don't agree with everything..." Thanks for the info in this thread people. If nothing more, I have somethings to ask my buddy when he states.." well, what Jordan Peterson says..."
  13. Uh oh, that's going against one of the rules! 9. Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don't
  14. It's hard to tell. I don't care to read more. If you google it, you get some info. Is it just a troll job? people follow him like a religion and he is kinda religious ...so... I love religious stories and history. My tattoos have a lot of iconography. But that's where religions should stay, beautiful art, some good codes of conduct and history. One book I read again a few years ago that I really like is 'Not welcome on the voyage'. It's a story of the flood and the transition from old testament to new. It also tells us what happened to the Unicorns..
  15. Thanks, but you add an organised religion tag and I can't. They should be long since hanging out with the dodo bird. I appreciate that he may be just doing a history lesson. But he has started his own 'church' though, right? they are all cults. I guess I'm still a bit curious here though. A guy that advises people on how to live is an addict? I relate to the pain of losing someone, did his wife die? I gained 50lbs and became quite the alcoholic over the couple years that I watched ALS take my dad. We were close. I'm lucky to have a great family, including a clinical psychologist. I ran a liquor store in the DTES for 10 years. I have seen addiction first hand in it's most ugly state. I hope those that love JP have those people in mind too. It's a big big problem.
  16. Being an old school fight fan I have followed Joe since the days of News Radio. His Talking Monkeys from Space is a great stand up. I don't find myself watching pod casts much. I know I have to get around to more JRE as people rave about them. In this thread I have been trying to understand why people are soo passionate about JP, yet will often say ' I don't agree with everything he says'. I thank the posters that have tried to clear that up a bit. I just read today about his Church and his Christian beliefs. I may have found a bit of the reason for that passion? For me this is where my JP curiosity fades. I don't need to look more into him. I don't care what people believe but when Church and Christian come up, I'm out. As I get older, I can't believe in the year 2020 people still hope for sky fairies. Religions have done so much harm to world and should be designated as Folklore by now with all the other fantasy stories. Arn't they all?
  17. People seems passionate about him. I didn't know he had started his own church and is christian? Have I got that wrong? just read a few excerpts.
  18. What are some of the stand outs that annoy people? My friend also goes on about an ex military dude called Jocko. He has an extreme ownership philosophy , I agree with what I have heard.
  19. My best friend likes him. I don't know much about him. I heard a bit about the pronoun stuff. My friend says the same thing I have read already in this thread a few times " I don't agree with everything that he has to say..." As someone that doesn't follow him, can anyone that likes him tell me... what are some of the things he has to say that some of you disagree with?
  20. @luckylager I recently reno'd my mums rental cabin. In the shed I found jars full of seeds. My wife, not knowing what they were said I'll spread them around the property and see what flowers grow. I gave them a smell and told her not to.... realised we have thousands of Mary seeds. Should I even bother planting them? I don't know how old or what strains they are. I have never grown before but want to.
  21. Rupert. Now, you know she doesn't like you calling her that. And if you must, go ahead and call me Stepdad.
  22. Thats some tough stuff! Another random coincidence. The Muay Thai guy that I mentioned has a 13 year old son ( actually worked on the deck/reno with us) that is national level lacrosse. One of the best prospects in Canada. Apparently lots of interest in him from the States too.
