Canuck was the name of the worlds first and only Orca Pilot, once regulations came in that made it mandatory to have opposable thumbs to operate an aircraft. Canuck the Orca spent the rest of his days as a logger. Btw, An Orca is not a Whale. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Good guess, I did some googling and found that it is in fact a Seattle Steelheads concept. https://dribbble.com/shots/4091919-Seattle-Steelheads

It's almost like there are some reasons to want to pump the brakes a little bit on the rush back to 'normality'.

I wonder why I think the testing still has a way to go.... 13 USS Roosevelt Sailors Test Positive For COVID-19, Again https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/05/16/857379338/5-uss-roosevelt-sailors-test-positive-for-covid-19-again The U.S. Navy says 13 sailors from the USS Theodore Roosevelt who had apparently recovered from the coronavirus and had received negative test results have now tested positive for a second time.

It's really something isn't it? I'm hearing a lot of about 5G too. I remember a couple years ago learning that countries, like the US,that were way behind in implementing 5G would start slipping in global influence ..and technological supremacy. Is it a surprise that now conspiracy theories have it that 5G has radiation?etc..etc.. Beware the rabbit holes. This false info and manipulation out there is how a con man was able to sneak into the whitehouse.

We just gotta do it right. Have patience and get more info. Baby steps. Some younger people are struggling with things that sometimes can lead to death, some older people are dealing with a disease often leads to death. If we move too quick and it mutates, has a stronger second wave..We might be in a worse place than we already are.
-
It is not. You have implied your answer over the last two pages anyway. If you can't state it directly. That's you. I am. I have posted the concerns of the Locust swarms bringing massive famine to West Africa a couple times in this thread, for example. This is related to not receiving the regular pesticides due to covid issues. That's an easy question for me. No, they are not. We're all equal.

Oh I thought you were pointing out some inflated stats and that for some reason car accidents were potentially being attributed to covid. I don't know why you asked that theoretical question then. These are your numbers for those 19 and under? My answer was... that they maybe concerned these people could be carriers. By that I mean, spread the disease. I'm not an expert. I think the concern is that it could spread, mutate, have a second( and third) wave and that the tests seem to be spotty at best. I'll ask you this.... Do you consider someone that has lived passed the regular expected age of a human to be worth less than someone younger?
-
Is that even supposed to be a Canucks design? Why is it down in line with the Grizzlies ones and whats up with the white 'S' ?
-
I imagine they are concerned about carriers. Are they? Has this been happening? Why would they do that if Covid didn't kill them?...why would they perform the autopsy for a car accident?
-
I know what you are trying to point out here, but.. Vehicle accidents and drug over doses are not contagious. The flu is a good point but this coronavirus is still very unknown. Looking at Quebec It would seem we still have a lot to learn. The testing is starting to show that it is quite spotty too. Before we get it properly under control we need better data. More wide spread accurate testing. Did you know, some one that has lived passed the average life expectancy is still a human being? This isn't Logan's Run.

How many kids have been tested in bc? Are there any stats? I'm hearing today that a lot of the testing is also coming up inconclusive or false. They were saying that there is a new test, takes 15mins per person that is 99% accurate. This far in and they still don't seem to have a handle on what potential this virus has... That said some places are showing some promising numbers, again though...can the tests be trusted to be accurate?
-
It's not a calling with any decent dough here in BC though. Quite low pay here. And the job isn't just teaching anymore. It's raising other peoples children, more students than ever per class. It seems to be looked at also like a daycare. I find it interesting that people that say "the kids need to go back to school!" have stated mostly the first reason as ' the parents need to get back to work...get the economy going...' I would have thought the first thing they would have said is "so my child can continue to develop, learn in a manner that I am not skilled enough to provide at home"

You've got me thinking though. Who are the experts that the school board is consulting with? I've mentioned my sis is a superintendent at the school board. I'm gonna grill her about it , next time I see her.
-
There you go.
-
Well, these experts really are giving them a voluntary option to go back for a limited amount of schooling. Not sending them back as such, until Sept.
-
That's so sad. I wish I had more memories of my grandparents.
-
I used to pay retail managers $50k plus bonuses.. They could hit $70k in a good year. No degree needed. Why would a good motivated person go to Uni and get a degree to earn a similar amount? Education and health care should have high pay, that way those careers attract better candidates and we will all benefit in the long run.

He'll get the rest of it this time! -
Teachers are underpaid. If we had better ones when we were growing up, we would understand that.

My sis is a school board superintendent here on the Island. She was over last night saying it looks like one day a week per grade just for 4 weeks, till the end of June, and it's voluntary. I kinda think why bother? better safe than sorry.

I know, but he was a young kid too. It just added to the mess and hilarity.
