  1. Thanks, I wasn't aware of this as I don't hunt, but makes total sense. I understand avid hunters having a lot of guns. I think the average hobbyist would have around 5. Kinda like my guitar collection, I use different ones for different applications. Beyond that I would start calling it an arsenal. I know a few dudes that have a ridiculous amount. In fact as I mentioned, most people seem to have quite a few.
  2. One thing I have noticed. I have a lot of friends and family that own guns. I enjoy shooting myself, but procrastinated getting my PAL earlier this year. I have ordered a cool crossbow though. Anyway, the thing I have noticed is that I don't know any gun owner that only has one or two guns. Every single person I know have multiples. Any gun owners on here that only own one or two?
  3. I just don't want you to go with the nazi garbage Ryan. You don't need to and you are more than capable to argue your points without the dodgy memes. I also believe you have criticised others for wishing death on a leaders or comparing to nazi's.
  4. If you have too, I would prefer that you stick to the meme's suggesting lynching our PM, or even the Charlton Heston quote skull. It kinda works with your whole cowboys with guns, wild west theme. This above image is lame. Do better.
  5. btw. Dont those that own these guns get to grandfather them? I don't know if you will be able to take them to the range or hunt. But I think you get to keep them as paper weights.
  6. Why are these guys giving Joe some much trouble lately? I just don't believe he laid a hand on them.
  7. Maybe they should. That way kids can use them like the old days without the fear of a police officer mistaking it for something else. And my tatts should not get me thrown in the slammer, they don't 'shoot' anything, although I am pretty sure there is a Marvel character that can do that.
  8. Trudeau unveils details of promised ban on 1,500 ‘assault-style’ firearms https://globalnews.ca/news/6892959/canada-assault-weapon-ban/ Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the federal government is banning a range of assault-style guns, with an order that takes effect immediately. He says the order has a two-year amnesty period for current owners, and there will be a compensation program. In an announcement this morning, he cites numerous mass shootings, from Ecole Polytechnique in 1989 to the killings in Nova Scotia last week, as the reasons for the move.
  9. Is answering questions with questions the best way to maintain your magical disguise? Do you suppose I recently watched the Disney flick titled Onward?
  10. I think you are on a few platforms. FB, Insta, Twitter and CDC. But I only assume that because you know waay too much about movies and celebs. Not because of any 'typical' social media political slants. And again, I was meaning people I meet out here in the real simulation world.
  11. I should clarify that I mean't conversations in person, though it's often pretty obvious here online too. But i don't mind being wrong, so I"ll take a crack at it. I know very little about you... but , I'll guess option 'D'
  12. 100% Not being a user of Social Media other than this very forum. Within a few minutes I can usually figure out a person that spends a lot of time on FB etc by their topics of conversation and often their opinions. Lately some 'tells' are... 'China', 'Sweden', 'Trudeau' and 'medicine' that they wont tell us about that battles covid.
  13. I agree. They are mostly just looking for attention. Some reason, any reason for them to feel that they have any meaning at all to their lives. I blame FB. Yep, weirdo's everywhere. We used to have a poster that would bring us all these Q-anon type things. My fav was a fake admission by Keanu Reeves that celebs etc drink babies blood. Got into real detail too, apparently you have to have the victim really scared so that the adrenal gland is secreting at the time of execution. Doesn't get much more ridiculous. SO, maybe report it...maybe...but look at the amount of people involved and designate it to a 'fringe' news section. Kinda like the rise of the right in Europe. I want to see numbers if its a big deal and it is in some places, but the last story I read was a 13 year old , online 'commander'. He had a whopping 35 followers.
  14. Yeah, I thought about this in my next post. Are authorities taking the Q -anon thing seriously? I hadn't heard much. I bet those investigators have a hard time keeping a straight face
  15. Yeah, I agree, they are looking for sensational stories and love to emulate that big disaster of a country to the south of us. Then again if they didn't report these conspiracy type of gatherings maybe that would give more fuel to these ridiculous movements? They should just quickly mention them in the light they deserve...'tiny group of dimwits gathered today in Edmonton, protesting about some garbage they dug up on Facebook....now, on to the weather report'
  16. So, 200 people showed up in Edm. About 25 in Van. These rallies are puny but are getting a lot of attention. Reminds me of when the 'nazi's' were going to gather at Van city hall after the Charlottesville events. I wen't down there and found one guy preaching his nazi mumbo jumbo in amongst a sea of counter-protesters , one guy. Maybe these events shouldn't get any coverage at all?
  17. My dog is named Tess, not named after T.E.S.S. the satellite but we got her on the day that it launched. She is a rescue, so I thought that was a cool coincidence and no way I change the name. To add emphasis to our decision, the first dog she met when she got here was named Kepler. His owner was an astronomer.
  18. This is a really good point. It's almost like being part of a Country consists of structure and layers. I have been reading along in these threads for a while now and still have a hard time really understanding the plight of the Albertans.
  19. Thanks, that's two people that my mum knows well that have lost the battle to covid. These people are back in England. A sad reminder of the lethal threat this thing possesses.
  20. I have posted about our fam and friends that are back in England. Really close with my mum. Though Jack is doing well and on the mend. Sadly his best friends wife, the one in an induced coma, has passed due to covid. Sad stuff.
  21. Bonnie's cardigan looks like a starry night.
