  1. At one point there was 7 of us living in a 1 bedroom trailer. But we're Brit-Canadians of so I'll wait for the white immigrant trailer trash thread.
  2. I have been thinking the same thing. Return of the family unit bond could be one positive out of all of this.
  3. ok. I'm smarter now. My take aways. Not so fine a grind when using infusion. Fine grind when using pour over like I do. Also, I only use filtered water....from my water tower, she mentioned that being a key process early on. Back on topic, Way to go BC, keep it up. Correct that curve.
  4. I know my wife gives me crap when I don't grind it fine enough... Random thought...one of the best hardcore /punk bands I saw when I first moved to Vancouver, playing at the lovely named Nappy Dugout, was called "Fine Grind'. They were soo good. I can still remember one of their tunes even though I only saw them twice and never had their CD (tape?). That was about 28 years ago. Ever since then I have thought, a Fine Grind is the best way to prep a coffee bean!
  5. It does? I had no idea. I gotta re-think this. You could also read those tea leaves and then you might know the future!
  6. Keep learning about how to fully live off the grid. Want to rely on others as little as possible. No more slave to the grind. Wonder why this thought has grown in importance in the last few months...
  7. I've always found French Presses to eventually leak grounds into the brew. I am a big fan of my Malitta pour over.
  8. Oh, I know that place. Very close to the DTES. Pretty hard to control the folks in that hood. They would have had to have security on the door to help restrict numbers inside. Without many places to go, I imagine the street people would have been flocking to that Tim Hortons. There's a Mc D's at the entrance to Tinsel Town Mall across the street from that Timmies. On a normal day , that has line ups all day long filled with the residents from the streets of the DTES.
  9. So glad she doesn't know what the world is going through right now.
  10. Ok well, Make sure to let yourself know. haha, I kid , I kid.
  11. Used it many times. Not as often as my big brother did to me when we were kids.
  12. Well, if those two are supporting it... but who knows. Someone tell the old people the correct aquarium product to ingest.
  13. Is that what has old folk buying and dying from something that is used in an aquarium?
  14. I Imagine right now that it is the already in place human-animals doing these things. I ran some Liq stores in van for a while. We were hit by thieves daily. These same people are now probably taking the opportunity of weakened targets. When we see regular Joes descending to this, we got problems.
  15. Its too bad. What a waste. I dont like him much, but he is one of the best fighters ever.
  16. Ha, First thing I thought too. Jon, just be you from now on. Crazy dumb party guy mixed with perhaps best fighter of them all. He can't defend himself anymore on this personal life stuff, hes a mess.
  17. Power washing. Long driveway. Has not been done in years. Just did 3 hours and got about 20% done. Yep, got my plans set for this weekend.
  18. This came up the other day. A dude got upset because there was meme suggesting a good mask to stop covid would be duct tape over DT's mouth . Since he has really stated some dumb and dangerous things regarding this outbreak, I think shutting him up might actually save lives. So it makes sense in this thread. Most of what you posted here does not.
  19. PBR was great until they were sold to the Russians and reduced their Alc%
  20. Agreed. I have stated that I believe that leaders should be open game in this thread but it would be nice to keep it to what those leaders do or don't do regarding the covid response. Including jokes and ribbing. The usual lefty, righty name calling stuff could be shuffled over to the other threads.
  21. I'm starting to get the vibe that Dr Henry's words are... 'not just suggestions...they are the law!'
