I know, I read that Sakakibara said something like "rules to be set when I get back to Japan". So, 'don't worry Floyd we will make you look good and make a lot of money'. Plus you don't back out on a guy with those kind of underground ties. Think I remember Dana once said back in the Pride days..."I can't land in Japan, they will try to kill me" Yeah, I should have posted about Floyd in a different thread. Maybe the WWE one? sports entertainment is all he is now. We all know what a pure boxer looks like vs an MMA athlete. Ground game, kicks and elbows, timing and distance for take down defence ,....there's too much to try to just pick up at 40+ yrs old.

Book: UFOs by Leslie Kean - NY Times Bestseller

Ireland investigating ‘very bright’ UFO sightings reported by multiple pilots, including flight from Montreal Authorities in Ireland are investigating reported sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) by several commercial airline pilots, including a flight from Montreal to London on Friday. “OK, it was moving so fast,” a British Airways pilot said. “It came up on our left-hand side and then rapidly veered to the north. It was a very bright light that disappeared at very high speed.” https://globalnews.ca/news/4658094/ufo-sightings-ireland-pilots/ -
Right, so Pantera might 'see' the matrix after all. Thought this was funny....Zabit asking "Will he ever call my name?? Or should I move on??" Well, Zabit....your name is Magomedsharipov......hahahaha....I don't know if you will ever hear anyone really call your name....how do you pronounce all them letters?!?! https://www.mmamania.com/2018/11/12/18087632/zabit-magomedsharipov-wants-have-word-with-yair-rodriguez-following-ufc-denver Anyway, book this fight!

I said Rodriguez was fancy schmancy before the fight. I don't think I have ever been more accurate describing a fighters style. That may have been the best finish I've ever witnessed. I have quite a history of taking part in and watching point sparing tournaments where guys will try fun stuff. It doesn't often translate to the cage or real fights. However, this guy... Yair fights like he sees the matrix. Speaking of living in a simulation. That finish came at 1 second left of an amazing 5th round headliner fight during the 25yr anniversary show (loved the throw back graphics btw). By a guy so highly trained he looks like a video game. To me this incredible technique showed how far the sport has evolved and happened at the most story book moment. Also, big nod of the hat to the fact that the fight took place in Denver. It was at altitude, 25 mins of insane cage fighting. Just wow. For those that missed the finish, Here is 'the elbow' Edit: some of the replays are being pulled.....re-posted this clip

OMG. Rodriguez Finish of the year. What a fighter. What a fight.
-
Not PPV, it's on TSN 5. Zombie is in tough against Rodriguez. Anyone that can apply the fancy schmancy style of Taekwondo to the cage like Rodriguez does, has my attention. But who doesn't love the Korean Zombie? should be fun.

Nice! I'm heavily, heavily tattooed. Really only have my chest and parts of my legs left clear. ( no hands or neck though, I once promised mum that I would always look clean in a suit) I plan to one day get the lyrics '...by the time I'm sober - I've forgotten what I've had - And everybody tells me that it's cool to be a cat' which is from Cool For Cats by Squeeze. Long story why, but not about drinking /drugs or even any meaning of the original song for me. Thanks for your submissions so far everyone. I'm learning that some artists that I wouldn't have listened to have some pretty great lyrics. It also give's me a little insight to some of you CDC'rs personalities.

My great grandfather Private Fred May died on Flanders Field. I am so grateful for all those who have served and continue to do so today. Thank you for the sacrifices you made to so we can live as we now do. We have a long way to go humans. But in this trying time, this Sunday, remember the brave souls. Hug your family and dream of a world with no wars. I love you all CDC.

Simple, what are your favourite song lyrics? I'm not asking which lyrics you think are the best, I'm asking if there is a specific song that you identify with or just love the lyrics. I ask because lyrics from a song from the band Clutch just roll around in my head and the song came out back in 2005. I don't know why but to me, if I had to pick one song, 'Burning Beard' has my favourite lyrics. I really connect with them and at the same time, not totally sure I understand them . Guess, to me it is an awesome poem/piece of art. Not interested in your opinion of the style of music, or the artist. Just the lyrics, no need to hear the track. I'm cautious talking about Clutch, for example, because not all Canucks fans enjoyed having Electric Worry (Vaminos) as our goal song. So, please no ' that band sucks' or ' your tastes suck' or 'that genre is lame'. Just your favourite the words put to music. Burning Beard Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in Lobsterbacks attack the town again Wrap all my things in aluminium Beams of darkness streak across the sky Pink rays from the ancient satellite Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me The power of the Holy Ghost The power of the Holy Ghost Shadow of the New Praetorian Tipping cows in fields Elysian Saturnalia for all you have The seven habits of the highly infected calve Swan diving off the tongues of crippled giants International Business Machine Choking on bits of barley bread crumbs Oh this burning beard I have come undone Oh this burning beard I have come undone It's just as I've feared, I have, I have come undone Bugger, bugger, bugger dumb the last of academe Occam's razor makes the cutting clean Shaven like a banker, lilac vegetal Break the glass ceiling and golden parachute on down The power of the Holy Ghost comes to town Remove the shadow of the New Praetorian Tipping cows in fields Elysian Saturnalia for all you have The seven habits of the highly infected calve The seven habits of the highly infected calve

My first thought was that this fight would never happen. Three days after Floyd Mayweather appeared at a news conference in Japan to announce an upcoming fight against 20-year-old kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, the 41-year-old boxer wrote on Instagram Wednesday that he "never agreed to an official bout." https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/boxing/2018/11/07/floyd-mayweather-says-he-never-agreed-official-bout-japan/1921725002/

Oh, missed this. Meh, Askren will do his thing I suppose. This will be tough for Lawler. https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2018/11/5/18067264/ufc-233-ben-askren-vs-robbie-lawler-dana-white-mma-news

You ain't kidding. Pretty impressive highlights. I just don't know how FM can handle those kicks.

Its a weird list for sure. It suggests that small towns in western Canada are terrible with the exception of the lovely Vancouver Island. I had a giggle that Edmonton is one slot worse than Surrey. A few posters on here can get their regional debates roaring again.

Who the what now? Rizin.?.. the home of freak fights like Gabi the Monster vs a Tiny Old Lady. They got themselves some fixin' and they got that Sakakibara gangster dough. Yep, makes sense for the old boxer that must have mo' money problems. Either this fight never happens, or they are paying FM too much money...if it does happen the rules will likely be modified to some silly embarrassing degree. His opponent is apparently quite good. He's 17-0 in kickboxing 4-0 in MMA. Anyway, this reeks. The only reason to like this is that it is a big middle finger to Dana and his stable of hype machines.

Could 'Oumuamua be an extraterrestrial solar sail? On October 19th, 2017, the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System-1 (Pan-STARRS-1) in Hawaii announced the first-ever detection of an interstellar asteroid, named 1I/2017 U1 (aka, "Oumuamua). In the months that followed, multiple follow-up observations were conducted that allowed astronomers to get a better idea of its size and shape, while also revealing that it had the characteristics of both a comet and an asteroid. Interestingly enough, there has also been some speculation that based on its shape, 'Oumuamua might actually be an interstellar spacecraft (Breakthrough Listen even monitored it for signs of radio signals!). A new study by a pair of astronomers from the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA) has taken it a step further, suggesting that 'Oumuamua may actually be a light sail of extra-terrestrial origin. https://phys.org/news/2018-11-oumuamua-extraterrestrial-solar.html EDIT: the mainstream media's are picking up this Harvard study https://www.nbcnews.com/mach/science/scientists-say-mysterious-oumuamua-object-could-be-alien-spacecraft-ncna931381 -
Blood. You missed Blood. I thought I was watching the walking dead. yep, in a spoiler tag cause...yuck. EDIT: Pic is from the Sheymon Moraes’ vs Julio Arce fight. J Rogan said it was the bloodiest cage he'd ever walked into after a contest. I swear during the broadcast they mentioned the blood hitting the announcer table...on one of their water bottles.

Nope, I didn't get the miracle punch I was hoping for. The fight went exactly how anyone who has sense thought it would. It looked like the simplest fight for DC, it was almost like he was taking it easy on Derrick. DC may be the top heavy weight ever, however if he doesn't get the JJones rematch there may always be a question. That said if GUS can upset JJones, DC fans can chalk up DC's losses to Jones to drugs and MMA math. I've always disliked wrestlers but I was very impressed with DC's hands and boxing in the Stipe fight. He has a full rounded game. However, I can't stand what he's doing these days. He need's shut his trap about WWE and the pretend belt and pretend world they promote. I loath that stuff, soo much. I'll watch the stupid Brock fight and remember the days when big dudes impressed me. Adesanya though, that kid can strike and he knows it....runs his mouth like a river. Fun to think of match ups for him.

They should be, I'm a hell of a guy I hear you though, they've made money. They can enjoy counting it in an empty BC place. My wife does some dealings with Kerfoot through her work. She says he is very nice, even brings them apples from his orchard. Maybe he can sell the team, get even more money and buy more apple trees? I sure could use a cider instead of what I've been buying from him. -

Yep. They were talking about this on the radio. The locker room issue being the wage gaps, not so much that bad attitudes/guys are in the room. We need some popular names to stick around. It's hard to swallow switching out so many players in an off season. How do you sell that to younger fans? I grew up always picking a favorite player or two on the teams I liked. I know we can't keep everyone but I would like some consistency in the line up.
