  1. Not a clue if there is a standard. My brothers former employer tried to get him to sign one. They dragged their feet getting around to it. In the meantime he got set up, quit and started his own company. I think the one they were trying to impose was 5 years.
  2. F' Bedard dreams. Play to win every single day is what our squad should do. Support that quest for the win is the fans role. Get us some defense support via trade is what the brass should be doing. Load it up, let's go. F' Vegas and their stupid fancy record to start the year. Crush them. Go Nucks.
  3. One thing I have read is that many head offices have a high percentage of psychopaths. I am positive that I have worked with a few as the amount is about 12% in corporate leadership when psychopaths only make up 1.2% of the population. I mean....the way Elon acts, if the shoe fits... However, I'm not comparing him to Dahmer or Bundy in case anyone gets upset.
  4. Photographer Cody Evans captures a picture of Poseidon.
  5. I think it comes down to if we are going to go for a proper rebuild. If we are, then I cant see Bo wanting to be a part of it. A rebuild means quite a few years of patience and growth. He has spent a long enough on a struggling squad in a losing culture.
  6. Lost dad almost 10 years ago to ALS. It came out of nowhere. He was healthy, 69 year old. Started with a scratchy throat that would not go away. After some dr visits he was told he had a year to live. Just like that. We were stunned and devastated. He went down fast, lost tons of weight, was put on a feeding tube. Towards the end he could barely move and could not speak. He was a big loud funny northern Brit, ALS reduced him to almost nothing. He was able to hold on until his 50th wedding anniversary for mum. That was just over a year after his diagnosis. He died a week later with mum and I by his side. Watching the light go out of my fathers eyes is the hardest thing I have ever experienced. Seeing Borje at his cerimony made my heart drop and my eyes well up. I know what he and his familly have gone through. Rest in Peace Borje. If you see my dad wherever you are...hang out with him for a bit. I bet he will make you laugh.
  7. That game had the team I thought we could be at the beginning of the season. Good Stuff. On to the next. Go Canucks.
  8. That's what the Canucks need during 2nd intermissions going forward. It will fix our problem with 3rd period collapses.
  9. Is that the new woke or the original woke (African American)? These shirts came as a result of the Ferguson protests, no? @gurn posted an interesting article that I think relates to this in the other Elon thread.
  10. I didn't know that. My thought was that the cop would know the ticket is bogus. My last ticket, the cop didn't show up so I got off. He had given me a ticket for 'running a yellow light'
  11. Look, I have recently, finally, after way too long, had it drummed into my thick noodle that since we did not trade Miller that we will never, ever, ever be a good team. There is no hope and we have no future. There is zero, I repeat zero, nadda, no chance that there is any other way to improve this team. I feel terrible for JR and his band of execs. I owe them an apology as I had mistakenly thought they could do something and had called them names. The bright spot is we still are allowed to hang out with real NHL teams and help them perform well for their fan base. Go Canucks. I will spend the rest of eternity in damnation with you.
  12. I'm not sure removing all strata restrictions is a good thing. Maybe I'm not looking at all the angles. I feel that there will be now more opportunity for speculators. I lived in a 75% owner occupied building. Had a min 2 year wait list to rent out. This restriction made the unit values about 10% less than the market as anyone buying had to move into the suite. So, I used to think that was a good thing for people trying to get into the market as the prices were a bit lower. Also, owner occupied buildings often are maintained better. The strata council usually all live in the building, they are mirco managing their actual homes....it's not just an investment property. My building was pristine and had a huge contingency fund. https://globalnews.ca/news/9294622/bc-government-housing-supply-issues-affordability/
